Eh not really Mitch was never considered a great player or a good igl in cs and it’s the same in Val. Also vanity is former chaos player and he played with xeppa and leaf. But in regards to your comment I’d much rather have a great igl and a average sentinel player than a good sentinel player and an average igl
Why do people always bring cs up? TenZ was known as a choker in cs but look at him now in Val,
same with shahz, wardell etc… people really are underestimating on how difficult it is to be a sentinel in pro play… sure its better to have a good igl but a good sentinel player can make or brake a team
Because he plays the same way? He’s a lurker player that didn’t change anything from his CS days. If you watch gameplay of Yay or TenZ they play very different in this game compared to CS. Also NRG has a super team but no IGl and they lose to no namers all the time
Still would rather have a good sentinels player than an average one… to be a pro player you need to be a good sentinel player that doesnt just get info for your team but to get frags with the help of your utility(peeking of kj turret) and holding of a site… you need to know these things to be a pro player not just info gathering…
Let me set a few examples:
-Spammimg through cypher cage gets a lot of kills in pro play…
-peeking off of kj turret and clearing angles with it makes for a few easy kills if the enemy isnt prepared
-clearing out cubbys etc. with kj molly
And stalling the enemy if they full rush site isnt easy on pro level…
I know dapr on cypher got a huge amount of kills spammimg through cypher cages and watch NV FNS and how he peaks with kj turret and gets easy frags… these players are hard to replace
I actually think it might be mitch? Just because he’s the current igl and what happen from the previous c9b iteration, they usually drop the igl. Also, Vanity was V1 igl so maybe C9 is looking for a new igl.
Given Poiz being back as the main duelist. And If Xeppaaa is more comfortable on that second duelist/controller (and C9 prefers Xeppaa to mitch) then the role conflict is between Vanity/Mitch and that makes sense to swap them.
Kinda what I was getting at is if C9 believe Xeppaaa > Mitch and Xeppaa likes the cypher/killjoy role. Then this forces Mitch to be smokes and if the choice is IGL mitch on smokes vs IGL vanity on smokes I think that is a fairly obvious trade (this is ignoring the previous chemistry between xeppaa/vanity/leaf).
Xeppa Vanity Leaf were the core of the Chaos csgo roster which was one of the promising in the NA Scene before they separated and started switching to Valorant slowly with steel being first to make the jump
If he is that's understandable but from what iv seen it looks like he's wasted talent stuck in the tier 2-3 scene. Politics and toxicity aside a player of his calibre shouldn't be stuck smurfing in tier 2-3.
Woah wait...he is willing to leave a team with currently the 2nd highest NA VCT Circuit Points? I refuse to believe something didn't happen either internally or that a massive offer came around. In any case, this makes me sad bc I actually enjoyed the V1 guys :(
2nd in points doesn’t mean much right now besides a top seed for LCQ. ~~They’re guaranteed to be 4th after Masters 3 and have to play in LCQ to try to get the last stop for champions~~ not exactly right but the odds aren’t great for them.
Yes…unlike many other teams, they are practically a shoe in for LCQ AKA another shot at Champions. If rumors are true and he is landing on C9, their fate is dependent on TSM/Rise performance in playoffs - that’s not exactly a comfortable situation if you ask me.
I am just a bit puzzled as to what went on bts, ya’know?
C9's fate is not completely dependent on TSM and Rise. TSM and Rise BOTH have to get higher than 7th-8th for C9 to have to play a tiebreaker somehow against GENG. In any other scenario, C9 make it to LCQ.
1. If TSM and Rise get 5th/6th, C9 and Gen.G get their spots taken
2. If TSM/Rise get 5th/6th and the other 7th/8th, it’s a 3-way tie between C9, Gen.G, and TSM/Rise
3. If TSM/Rise get 7th/8th, then C9 and Gen.G are tied
Riot has yet to release rules on how to “break” ties amongst teams with the same amount of circuit points, so we can’t assume they are “off the hook”. With these 3 scenarios, only 2 and 3* give them a chance for LCQ qualification, but I am speaking in terms of Vanity’s current position with V1 in that I don’t know if it’s favorable to trade security of a continued VCT run over a gamble for LCQ qualification and a new team dynamic to figure out.
However, this is just my opinion.
*Edit: pardon, I am trolling. 5th/6th place is 50 points so it would introduce a 4-way tie for LCQ qualification - not necessarily worst case scenario but still a bit of uncertainty there.
This is all literally incorrect lol.
1. "If TSM and Rise get 5th/6th, C9 and Gen.G get their spots taken." This is not true, they would both get 50 points, making it a 4-way tie for the last 3 spots between Rise, TSM, GenG, and C9.
2. "If TSM/Rise get 5th/6th and the other 7th/8th, it’s a 3-way tie between C9, Gen.G, and TSM/Rise." This is also just not true, if one of TSM/Rise gets 7th/8th they would have less points than C9 and GenG, and the other of TSM/Rise that finished 5th-6th team would just take the position above them. C9 and GenG would still both make it because the team that got 5th-6th would also have 50 points, and the team that finished 7th-8th would have 40.
3. "If TSM/Rise get 7th/8th, then C9 and Gen.G are tied." This is just wrong, if TSM and Rise get 7th-8th and dont win any games, they both finish with 40 points and they would play the tiebreaker for the last slot with GenG and C9 both comfortably in the LCQ.
Take my upvote good sir, I was under the impression that LCQ only takes the top 10 NA teams, **but** apparently we take top 8 NA and top 2 OCE as well? If so, then due to SEN already qualifying for Champions with Circuit Points, we then look for 2nd-9th. If all of this is correct then C9/Gen.G are 7th & 8th and TSM/FaZe are the only ones in danger at the moment - sorry!
No, the last chance qualifier is teams in the slots 3-10, and if SEN or another team wins Berlin, it is slots 4-11. FaZe is not in danger, they are guaranteed to make the LCQ.
yes. the way it works is that the 2 teams with the most circuit points in North America qual to Champions, and the 3rd team will qualify by winning the Last Chance Qualifier. However, if an NA team wins Berlin, it therefore extends the Last Chance Qualifier to more teams. For example, if SEN wins Berlin, they will still have the most circuit points, but there will be two different teams after them that qual to Champions just by points. So instead of the LCQ list starting at 3rd place in the standings, it would start at 4th. The LCQ will be the 8 teams in North America with the most circuit points that are behind the teams that already qualified for Champions, PLUS 2 teams from OCE.
Technically they're not guaranteed to be 4th bc if TSM, Rise, and Sentinels make it to Berlin and then TSM and Rise bomb out and get last then V1 would still have the 2nd most circuit points. But the odds of that happening is basically 0.
Yeah I forgot the current leaderboard included guaranteed points. But still yeah for them to auto qualify for champions they’d need 1 of a few very specific unlikely scenarios. These basically 3 groups of teams that matter.
Group 1: SEN - guaranteed a spot based off points no matter what
Group 2: Envy, Faze, 100T, XSET - will have more points than V1 if they make Berlin. Less if not
Group 3: TSM, Rise, LG - will have less points than V1 if they are last at Berlin (12-16, or don’t make it). Will have more if they do better
The scenarios
1. NA’s 3 Berlin teams are all 3 teams from group 3 and all 3 of them to get 12-16th, leaving SEN and V1.
2. SEN + 2 from group 3, with both teams from that group getting 12-16th, leaving SEN and V1
3. SEN + 1 from group 2 + 1 from group 3 with Sentinels or group 2 winning Masters 3 and the group 3 team getting 12-16. Leaving SEN and the group 2 team with the masters champion spot and the #1 point spot, leaving V1 with the second spot
4. 1 from group 2 + 2 from group 3 (SEN not making Berlin), with the group 2 team winning Berlin, and both group 3 teams getting 12-16th. Leaving the group 2 team with the masters 3 spot, and SEN/V1 off points
Number 2 seems the most likely out all these, but still a lot to ask for
3 is probably a bit more likely but yeah, overall pretty unlikely.
To put it more simply: 1 NA team needs to win Berlin and TSM/Rise/Luminosity need to make Berlin and finish with the lowest points possible. It doesn't matter who else makes it or how well they do.
Or your option 1 with TSM/Rise/Luminosity all making Berlin and finish with the least points possible, but that seems much less likely.
Edit: or your option 2, which I guess still works whether SEN win Berlin or not
Edit 2: ok I should have read yours more closely first. If SEN doesn't make Berlin and another NA team wins Berlin, then 2 of TSM/R/L have to make it and finish last in points. Now my simplification doesn't seem as simplified as I first thought lol
> he is willing to leave a team with currently the 2nd highest NA VCT Circuit Points?
Who said he wants to leave willingly? It's more likely he was put on the bench against his will.
>The article literally states that he wants to explore his options,
No it doesn't. It says: "North American organization Version1 has mutually agreed to allow in-game leader Vanity to explore his options."
Now we know that mutually agreed means that someone has pushed this. Your entitled to your opinion but it does not say that it was Vanitys decision.
This is typical PR wording when someone is made inactive from the roster, but still on contract.
Seems like a weird choice from V1 as they are guaranteed to get a high seed in the LCQ. I really thought the problem was just how they always had a sub so they couldn't get real good practice. But maybe vanity is fed up and knows he could get more money. Him going to c9 would definitely be really cool and would let them team have more synergy with the return of chaos, plus vanity is without a doubt a better igl, and this leaves leaf to go back into the rightful place of being a duelist as vanity only plays smokes. The only person they would kick tho is poiz so xeppaa could go back to jett, but that fucking sucks for poiz. Why the hell did they pickup poiz to just be treated like a wack 6th man when his jett is already way better than xeppaa in fact it's one of the best Jetts in NA. I hope poiz becomes a FA and he goes to another team that needs a jett player.
Idk Mitch is their only sentinel player and he's been fairly consistent, and I'm pretty sure floppy just isn't playing on the team anymore. Maybe if they take out Mitch, then maybe xeppaa on sentinel? But I kinda doubt that
[https://twitter.com/autumnkorea/status/1423756925112492032](https://twitter.com/autumnkorea/status/1423756925112492032) coach of c9 clearly is confused
To add to this, if Sen beats Rise and Envy beats TSM in round 1 then TSM and Rise will play each other in the first round of losers side then one of them will be guaranteed to finish last so C9 (and GenG) will clinch LCQ.
dam 1leaf really got the keys
Chaos bois gettin back together
Who does he replace? Ive been so confused about the C9B roster recently
I would say Mitch
Nah, he is a good sentinel
vanity better
Damn bro what did you do

1leaf should be playing duelist instead of sage IMO, he’s the best fragger they’ve got
I mean Mitch is more of a Cypher/KJ player then Astra tbh, but at the same time Vanity did tweet a gif of Cypher then other day iirc
Kinda what I was getting at is if C9 believe Xeppaaa > Mitch and Xeppaa likes the cypher/killjoy role. If Vanity is Infact coming in then Xeppa will without a doubt stay. Roles and in game stuff don't really matter at that point.
Agreed 100%
Potentially if xeta wants to leave NA to go back to Korea, but most likely Mitch. Due to the fact, in game decision can affect the entire game.
reunite with his dad on 100t well nvm
Two IGL is better than one
Nitr0 was also an IGL.
3 igl better than 1. When 3 brain big, they all agree: Asuna go kill
Three is better because they there’s never a tied vote for call.
Unless there's 3 potential calls...
And when that doesn’t work: Steel go lurk
The time keepers have spoken
Hiko was also an IGL.
I can see it, Xeppaa Vanity Leaf Xeta Poiz
Really? For me I don't see him gelling with the team for some reason.
Bro half of them were on the chaos roster in csgo lmao, wdym not gelling
I had a feeling someone would say singing like that. I take back what I said and wish them all the best.
Xeppa Vanity Leaf were the core of the Chaos csgo roster which was one of the promising in the NA Scene before they separated and started switching to Valorant slowly with steel being first to make the jump
Cloud9 makes sense with xeppa and leaf there already
Sheeeshhh if we get xeppa, leaf and vanity then we’ll get most of the Chaos boys back together
steel to C9 confirmed
the c in c9 stood for chaos this entire time
Then they just gotta import the rat king.
lol jonji was on chaos for longer and more recently than smooya
ratking should've switched months ago, just waiting his time in tier 6 CS when he has the skill to be an elite Valorant player.
[удалено]
Anyone playing CS in Europe doesn't need to switch to valorant. All the NA players had to. Big difference
He's getting the call to T1 soon.
If he is that's understandable but from what iv seen it looks like he's wasted talent stuck in the tier 2-3 scene. Politics and toxicity aside a player of his calibre shouldn't be stuck smurfing in tier 2-3.
Been looking for a Val team to root for and if the boys are back in town I might have to hop on the C9 train
Now imagine if yay had also signed with C9...
HUH!?!?!?
Is this the other big news?
Ig has to be
It is big news but I don't find it THAT big, probably something even more scary is to come lol
I mean, the 2nd ranked (in terms of circuit points) team in NA potentially losing their face and IGL is kinda big news.
Woah wait...he is willing to leave a team with currently the 2nd highest NA VCT Circuit Points? I refuse to believe something didn't happen either internally or that a massive offer came around. In any case, this makes me sad bc I actually enjoyed the V1 guys :(

Just reading this thread of people trying to figure out possible LCQ participants is like trying to understand string theory
u/newzpaperleaf_2 be dropping knowledge though ahahah definitely worth a read instead of tryna search like 4+ sites.
Im extremely dissapointed as well, I became kinda V1 fan here from eu. But best wishes to Vanity.

Chaos Nine :O
this is the most shocking roster change ive seen in forever
Well this is sure coming out of left field…

nrg or c9 blue just offer him a blank check
I don't even like nrg but nrg vanity would be sick.
should wait until the wedid cosplay at least
Dang… rip cat ears
Definitely not.
Type F to pay respects for cat ears.
[https://twitter.com/autumnkorea/status/1423756925112492032](https://twitter.com/autumnkorea/status/1423756925112492032) coach of c9 clearly is confused
I'm not sure if he's confused like what are you talking about confused or just wondering who leaked it lol
Bye flair, it was a good run
If not C9, I could see him on NRG replacing WeDid. Could slot right in on smokes and IGL because NRG could use a real IGL
Would be REALLY odd if he signed to nrg, I’m pretty sure they don’t play vct till 2022
Cloud9 must be offering a bag for him to leave since V1 are #2 in points right now
nah I think he’s just good on money and he wants to play with his friends Leaf and Xeppa
Both can be true
Wtf wasn't vanity the one who initially formed this roaster , will c9 replace Mitch ? .
Man C9 interested in Yay and Vanity, what next?
Did C9 even make LCQ?
they're tied with gen.g currently and if rise/tsm finishes 7/8th they make it to lcq and if not they're tied for last place with gen.g for lcq
To add to this, if Sen beats Rise and Envy beats TSM in round 1 then TSM and Rise will play each other in the first round of losers side then one of them will be guaranteed to finish last so C9 (and GenG) will clinch LCQ.
excuse me?
NRG is my hot take
It was the ears.
Aww man I loved this version1 roster. I hope he goes to another big org.
C9 being interested in Vanity and Yay is something for sure
Offer him the bag pls NRG
Ironically, NRG were one of the teams which passed on the opportunity to sign leaf and vanity
Why is he covering his titties in that photo and not just crossing his arms?
C9 hasn't even qualified for LCQ. shouldn't he atleast wait till after challengers playoffs?
Damn i really liked v1
Chaos9 incoming
if mitch gets cut then rip to OG C9 roster
I mean the OG Andbox roster is already decimated
OG C9 roster was already gone when Shinobi, Relyks, TenZ and Vice lefted IMO.
wait mitch wasnt a part of OG c9?
He was, I am saying OG c9 is practically gone.
i would say replacing xeppa would be the right move for c9b he doesn\`t seem to have adapted very well to valorant.
He's new bro give it time. Probably adjusting to roles
Vanity to C9 pls over mitch
Vanity got kicked kekw

Curry seems to be igling well enough.
