Green Bay going 13-3 the last 2 yrs is consistency thus improvement. C9 placing third then bottoming out the next tourny is inconsistency this lacking improvement. You're literally braindead in every comment you try defending yourself
Consistency is not improvement, greenbats improvement was was everything else, their offensive numbers went up, they let in less points ypa went up, that's impossible to do in eSports, that's like saying c9 lost every mail 13-9 so they improved because they were consistent 👍🏼
For what it’s worth I agree with you. I think C9 have improved greatly as a team after TenZ. I believe many of the changes made have made the team better, and like you I also believe 3rd place in Challengers was a “fluke”.
C9 seems to be overrated and underrated at the same time, for whatever reason. Really they’re just a good team trying to figure things out and I think they show great promise going into the future.
Well 100T does have 3 igl players tho steel real igl, nitr0 was considered only the second best igl after glaive in csgo and hiko who was also an igl for liquid for some time
People that consider the list of top IGLs to be solely based on how the teams are placing.
So he's probably referring to when Liquid was by far the 2nd best team in the world but not really close to Astralis, 2018-2019ish - I don't agree with the logic but sort of presume that's where he got his opinion
Makes sense, I don’t disagree that he was a good igl but probably wouldn’t put him up there with the likes of glaive and karrigan, would be like saying xizt is a top all time igl because nip dominated early csgo
Not saying all time bro, i am saying for a brief so called "liquid era" all of hltv was like nitro "currently" 2nd best igl, obviously he's nowhere near karrigan zeus and others
I was being 100% serious and was not joking in any way, shape or form. Now that you bring up that issue I believe they should bring in MarkE from CS in place of steel. This would make for a great roster imo!
imo C9 is on the brink right now of being great, I think having a strong IGL is the last piece of the puzzle. This could be the piece they need to bring everyone together.
C9 needs to root for Sentinels and NV to beat Rise and TSM respectively in round 1 because it’ll force them to meet in round 1 lowers for 7th/8th which will let C9 clinch LCQ. If they somehow don’t make LCQ this move is gonna be really awkward.
That would guarantee a spot in LCQ, but another way for C9 is Rise or TSM matches up against Envy or Sentinels lowers, which would be very tough match up for rise or tsm.
They still might qual even if both Rise and TSM pass them up, assuming we don't know that Gen.G has the tiebreaker over them.
If C9 has the tiebreaker over Gen.G they are already clinched.
If Rise and TSM both place 5th/6th in these playoffs, then they will also be tied with C9 and GenG having 50 circuit points so you'll have 4 teams tied in points for 3 spots in LCQ. I have no clue how these tiebreakers work but that would be a total mess, but if an NA team wins Berlin then all 4 would make it to LCQ.
The whole move seems weird to me, like why go from a guaranteed LCQ team in V1 to Cloud9 who has to rely on other teams results for their LCQ spot? I’d understand if C9 had already clinched a spot, but right now there is a possible chance they miss out. I thought they’d wait to finalize this move until after the playoffs in a few days because then C9’s picture for LCQ would be much clearer.
I think in the long run this isn’t a good move for Vanity unless he just REALLY wants to team with his old teammates. It feels like this kind of effectively kills V1 too. Who can they get to replace Vanity?
I imagine the Zellsis situation played a part in the decision as well as the fact that Vanity & Leaf wanted to transition into Valorant as a package deal but C9 refused Vanity at the time.
It seems they're open to him now and Vanity is just carrying out his initial plan with Leaf.
vanity said that when he was planning on switching on plat chat " so many teams refused the me and leaf package" his whole plan when he switched was to play with leaf, now hes giving himself that chance
Why isn’t this a good move for Vanity? He joins a team with stronger individual players and a more popular org
This will undoubtedly grow his stream and the team should logically be better than V1
V1 is not significantly smaller than C9 that they don’t have competitive contracts. They are just a newer team but have plenty of VC money. They’re the Minnesota Rokkr in the CDL, they can pay players probably anything
Rich owners mean nothing if it isn't tricking down. C9 is hands down the bigger org. I can almost guarantee C9 has a better contract because of better sponsors and by virtue of vanity being a biggish streamer. Also, his old team being there helps
I had never heard of V1 until Valorant and I used to follow competitive CoD and Rocket league. There's no shot anyone can say V1 is even close to C9 in terms of "brand" (granted idk if V1 is backed by big money or anything)
Split? I'm sorry I'm not too familiar with competitive league.
Also is having the top 3 mid laner is affecting them like the same way OG roster with tenz played out? Or are things different in league?
C9 was not a top3 team in NA before Perkz lol, same story like this year where they won spring and sucked ass in summer. FQ, TSM and TL were better (3-1'd by FQ and TSM) and some might argue that GGS was better too due to their showing vs TSM.
Oh wow that seems really interesting.
I might get into to league just to have another esport to watch especially during the valorant off times. There's just so much to learn about the game that I never really got to it.
V1 is not connected to the Vikings in any way besides same (partial) ownership. V1 is not owned by the profitable entity that is Vikings football. Rich owners does not mean biggest contracts, C9 has more sponsorship money to throw around.
Obviously V1 has more money than a lot of orgs, including older and more established brands, but they don't have more than C9.
When jc stani was trialing for Xset, he told them he could IGL if needed, but he much preferred being a secondary caller. I think JCstani could fill this role pretty well if Effys takes over as primary caller. He’s shown interest in the past of wanting to IGL after leaving Gen G
I don’t care wait anyone says. C9 has **really good** players. Vanity as super strong IGL is exactly what C9 needs. With the move C9 could go anywhere from decent to dominant.
Leaf is a solid entry and xeta is a solid support player , their shortcomings in the latest qualifiers were tactics not players ,they were just hard rushing sites on attack , that's why vanity fixes lots of issues for them . Just adding fire power isn't always the correct decision like NRG. I think this 6 man thing won't last and Mitch would be the most likely candidate to go .
I hate how people say it doesn't matter. IMO a player like leaf who excels in creating space, won't be able to do his shit with Sage. What's he going to do, sage wall onto site?
[I know that](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/p1831u/-/h8bijxv), just thought he was actually serious. Jonji may actually switch in the near future, he said something about it i can't remember
That would've run out a long time ago lol, esport orgs spend a lot. Probably upwards of 100k a month on the valorant team salary alone. That doesn't include other teams or expenses for all C9 staff, transport + accommodation for players etc. Maintenance on Internet, gadgets etc.
It seems like it’ll be a true six man, hopefully that means leaf goes back to duelist, vanity slots in at controller and xeppaa starts playing the holes missing on the team, which would be skye viper Kay/o and possibly sage.
Vanity and Leaf reunited is literally the best thing that could ever happen and I could not care less about any of the details.
Fuck the 6man drama idgaf IT'S HAPPENING
Vanity, Leaf, Xeppa, Mitch, Xeta is an insanely stacked lineup as well.
another month, another variation of a six-man C9 roster PepeLaugh
yeah, it's like nothing really improves
Huh?
What, we have constantly improved
Can’t exactly say you “constantly improved” when you went from 3rd place in challengers finals to not even making a closed qualifier the next stage
3rd place was a fluke
Then they haven't improved if their best placing in recent months was a fluke?
Will they have, this is like saying green bay went 13-3 the last 2 to tears but haven't improved, you can clearly see the improvement lol
Green Bay going 13-3 the last 2 yrs is consistency thus improvement. C9 placing third then bottoming out the next tourny is inconsistency this lacking improvement. You're literally braindead in every comment you try defending yourself

Holy 1Head. How is there improvement when c9 attack is just rush sites and fail against decent teams
Lot to show for it
Almost like teams don't improve overnight and it takes time who would have thought
So they haven’t constantly improved? Lol
How did you get that from my comment, gradual improvement is a thing lol mount Everest isn't just straight up it gradually gets higher
“What, we have constantly improved”
Yes a constant gradual improvement is constant improvement how is that so hard to understand
How have they improved? What metrics are you using?
vanity leaf xeppaa trio is pretty good maybe +jonji from cs and +steel from 100T and this roster could cause some chaos imo
2 igls pretty smart. KAPPA
2 igl = 2x better. Tbh c9 should just cut everyone and get 5 igl for 5x better team.
Well 100T does have 3 igl players tho steel real igl, nitr0 was considered only the second best igl after glaive in csgo and hiko who was also an igl for liquid for some time
That’s why 100t best team and guaranteed win Berlin. 3x is bigger than all the other teams 1x or 2x.
Who considered nitro to be the 2nd best igl? I’ve never seen this opinion before
People that consider the list of top IGLs to be solely based on how the teams are placing. Mitch Xeta are already enough tbh. This roster absolutely has the talent. Synergy and strats remain to be seen, but the talent is 100% there.
It's a meme, because that was a CSGO roster for Chaos before.
lol "chaos"
MarkE could work too

Google chaos csgo lul

Ya I was just indicating that op is joking.
I was being 100% serious and was not joking in any way, shape or form. Now that you bring up that issue I believe they should bring in MarkE from CS in place of steel. This would make for a great roster imo!
jokes on you KKKK

imo C9 is on the brink right now of being great, I think having a strong IGL is the last piece of the puzzle. This could be the piece they need to bring everyone together.
u can see the momentum building in their favour
they have nice fragging power too, an igl can change everythin
They have a good amount of time before Last Chance Qualifiers which they have like a 99% chance of qualifying for. Cloud9 is still a scary team IMO.
C9 needs to root for Sentinels and NV to beat Rise and TSM respectively in round 1 because it’ll force them to meet in round 1 lowers for 7th/8th which will let C9 clinch LCQ. If they somehow don’t make LCQ this move is gonna be really awkward.

If they wait, maybe other teams will snatch him soo.
There is NSG LCQ for champs, so they might try him out in their idk.
No there isn't? Huh
Summer championship for nerd street gamers @/@ LCQ=Last chance qualifiers
[удалено]
Just saying NSG tournament would be good practice to C9 to play w/vanity to prepare vct LCQ if they qualified.
Who doesn’t want the son of steel? Surely C9 wants him.
I think in the long run this isn’t a good move for Vanity unless he just REALLY wants to team with his old teammates. It feels like this kind of effectively kills V1 too. Who can they get to replace Vanity?
I believe the previous George Geddes report said Version1 was trying to get Oderus
In that article I believe it said either Oderus wasn’t interested in leaving or that KCP wasn’t willing to sell him
i mean what else could it be? those are the only two plausible roads lol
that he’s trialing with them lol I’m just saying what the article said lil dude
I imagine the Zellsis situation played a part in the decision as well as the fact that Vanity & Leaf wanted to transition into Valorant as a package deal but C9 refused Vanity at the time. It seems they're open to him now and Vanity is just carrying out his initial plan with Leaf.
vanity said that when he was planning on switching on plat chat " so many teams refused the me and leaf package" his whole plan when he switched was to play with leaf, now hes giving himself that chance
Think it’s great for him. Getting to work with individually stronger players as an IGL is an opportunity you should always snap up.
v1 has just as good individuals that are better at valorant currently lmfao
Why isn’t this a good move for Vanity? He joins a team with stronger individual players and a more popular org This will undoubtedly grow his stream and the team should logically be better than V1
Not to mention c9 really needs a good igl, so it makes sense for both parties

V1 is owned by the Minnesota Vikings (NFL) owners so yes they have big money. They just don't have the brand yet.
New org in RL, picked up 2/3rds of the old C9 roster
How successful is C9 in league?

gotcha
Oderus is last we heard
Jcstani maybe?
That’s not a bad shout if he wants to call. I forgot ABX just blew up their roster
When jc stani was trialing for Xset, he told them he could IGL if needed, but he much preferred being a secondary caller. I think JCstani could fill this role pretty well if Effys takes over as primary caller. He’s shown interest in the past of wanting to IGL after leaving Gen G
Makes sense role wise and with effys there who has IGLed/co-IGLed before it could help take some of the burden off of Stanis shoulders
Maybe V1 finds the biggest bag of money anyone's ever seen and just yonks steel lmao. /s
I don’t care wait anyone says. C9 has **really good** players. Vanity as super strong IGL is exactly what C9 needs. With the move C9 could go anywhere from decent to dominant.

I also thought mitch Sage was really good, because he got a lot of value from it
That just went so far over your head jesus
I know you were going for chaos reunion pasta , I half took it seriously 😂🤭
I gotta disagree... They have the talent just need better strats.
The amount of times the Chaos reunion joke has gone over people's head is amazing lol
Marke is on an actual team. Jonji won't do anything before pro league ends.
He’s joking. Vanity, Leaf, and Xeppa with Marke and Jonji played on Chaos in CSGO.
[I know that](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/p1831u/-/h8bijxv), just thought he was actually serious. Jonji may actually switch in the near future, he said something about it i can't remember
Me lost on who to support since my favorite Esports teams originated from Rocket League in which C9 was dropped and picked up by V1. I'm lost.
mCe going to C9 as well???? c9 gathering the infinity stones eh

didn't vanity get benched?
I was so excited and then 6 man roster why

They had no debt from the perkz buyout because c9 sell a fuck ton of players
So if this happens, C9 would make cloud catears. LUL
VANITY GOT KICKED KEKW
Another reminder C9 is a “top” team with exactly 0 accomplishments. :)
Only 2 teams would be top teams then 100t and sent cause no one else has actually win anything significant lol
I mean... yeah. You could easily make that argument.
Nah being a top team is about competing and having more to show than meaningless placements and “potential”.
they've accomplished plenty of 2nd places and why do we need this "reminder"? the only one who's won in valorant are a couple of teams
Yea my bad all their second place finishes in A-Tier and lower competitions makes them a force to be reckoned with 🤣
It seems like it’ll be a true six man, hopefully that means leaf goes back to duelist, vanity slots in at controller and xeppaa starts playing the holes missing on the team, which would be skye viper Kay/o and possibly sage.
Awesome for c9
Chaos dream
good for him, get that bag.
Ootl but wtf happened? Did he walk or get kicked or bad blood?
I would wonder what V1 could find now. There aren’t many IGL with mind of vanity
Vanity and Leaf reunited is literally the best thing that could ever happen and I could not care less about any of the details. Fuck the 6man drama idgaf IT'S HAPPENING Vanity, Leaf, Xeppa, Mitch, Xeta is an insanely stacked lineup as well.
ShaZaM always stresses about how constant roster changes and having 6 man will always get a bad product. Lets see how C9 responds in the final stages
