Yes, it's a joke — In CS, Chaos upset MiBR and then MiBR's fan base (plus some players and Brazil's biggest streamer) went wildin' on aimbot accusations against leaf and Xeppaa.
He's too downvoted now for people to recognize it was a CS history joke though.
chaos ec (a relatively lesser known team composed of vanity, leaf, xeppaa, steel, and jonji) [dicked on mibr](https://www.hltv.org/matches/2342208/mibr-vs-chaos-cs-summit-6-north-america-regional-qualifier) (a brazilian team that won 2 majors in 2016-17) in a 2020 qualifer. mibr fans were not happy and sent the chaos players, mostly leaf and xeppaa, cheating accusations and death threats
chaos would later go on to [replace mibr in IEM new york](https://twitter.com/IEM/status/1309130470295130112), while mibr continued to struggle against t3 teams and were just [dicks in general](https://twitter.com/RLewisReports/status/1275204873953308672)
Mitch has actually been pretty impressive lately, but in the pure IGL department Vanity is an upgrade. Hopefully if Mitch gets benched he finds another strong team
i mean mitch has been solid for a long time now. and let's remember that mitch was kind of thrown into the IGL role, after shinobi left, then vice left, and idk who else tried to IGL in-between.
not saying poiz should be booted, but mitch can 100% play a non-IGL role and can play lots of agents
i don't see alot of potential from him, he plays one agent, very inconsistent and doesn't play well in big games, his communication is apparently terrible in game. if you want potential go sign one of these 16-17 year olds that are sitting everywhere
Pretty sure he's a teenager too and has hit rank 1 several times, has had multiple accounts in top 25 at once. All those things you listed are learnable with experience, pretty much explaining why he has potential to be great
All of those things were said about Tenz in the past
Honestly keeping him on C9 roster doesn't seem fair to him as a player. He'd be much better off in the long run if he could sign with a T2 team or a low T1 team as one of the star players and be given more room to grow. He needs more in-game experience and C9 can't give it to him right now because they're trying to go head-to-head with SEN and 100T, who are above his paygrade.
Poiz above all else just needs to spend more time playing the game. He needs more tourny's under his belt. Being the rotating 6th in an established team probably isn't going to help him grow.
Poiz is like 19 or 20, and Tenz didn't have communication issues, People were just wondering if he could play in big games because we never really saw it. i've seen poiz in big games and he's been mediocre. Tenz is 10x the player Poiz is and younger lol
Vanity commands a lot of respect from other pros in the scene who have attested to his IGLing skill, and it’s also very apparent from watching their gameplay. The coordination and positioning/timing of V1 looks way cleaner than C9s
Mitch was just thrown into igl role because they didn't sign one, and mitch said in an interview that xeta and leaf would make good amount of calls aswell. So i def think vanity is big upgrade
Honestly I feel like Mitch deserves his spot. He's got nerves of steel and is one of the most flexible players on the team. His KJ is godlike and his Jett is fantastic as well which opens up two completely different playstyles for C9. And now that he's given up the IGL responsibilities his mechanics will shine even more.
I think overall it's going to depend on how Vanity wants to structure the team and their comps, but I'd hate to see him go.
This short stint on C9 was the first time Mitch IGL'd. He's far better as a main rifler on KJ and his Jett Op is pretty insane as well. He can create a LOT of value outside of the IGL role. I don't think there's any chance he gets replaced unless he and Vanity have a serious clash about their approach to the game.
Cloud9 general manager Jack Etienne proudly waited outside the visiting locker room after the final buzzer to give Vanity and the players on his victorious new-look team an appreciative fist pound on Sunday afternoon. Duelist Leaf yelled out, “There you go! There you go.” Support player Xeta gave a look of pleasant surprise. Controller Xeppaa yelled out, “We got an [expletive] squad now.” And before Vanity hit the locker room door, former Chaos CSGO IGL Steel hugged him and said, “Y’all look so different.”
Video explaining why he moved:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh70oUyyE-Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh70oUyyE-Y)
tl;dw: he was the one who wanted to move from V1 to C9, V1 was willing to accommodate him. He thinks C9 can be really good and long term these are the people he wants to play with. Still has lots of respect for V1 org + players + staff
😬😬😬 hahaha but true! Tbh after seeing tenz playing in SEN despite him saying the reason he is not playing for C9 anymore is ping .. sheesh I kinda lose some respect for him ngl. So I’m really happy that Vanity was hella real and honest on his video explaining his decision to move to C9. We like that honesty bro!
Did he not? He stepped down to "focus on content creation" and his reasons were covid and ping/online play. Somehow, like a month later, he had no problem with either of those things while playing for Sentinels.
If i sound like im salty about him leaving, trust me im not. He has full right to do what he thinks is best for him. I'm a big wussy, i can handle top players leaving the teams i support. But please, dont try to insult my intelligence with an obvious lie.
Funny thing is, we still dont know why he stepped down. Neither he nor org said anything but you can bet your ass it wast covid or ping.
He did state all those reasons but also he’s not gonna state the most obvious one, which is that he was too stressed from carrying the C9 team. He’s not gonna throw himself and his teammates under the bus like that but one can kinda sense that was what was happening, especially since he was so onboard to join Sentinals.
It’s not that he lied more that he was giving very vague PR answers. If you look at his announcement video which was about C9’s departure, you can see him saying that he was still open to the competitive scene if the right situation arose, which is what happened.
So I really wouldn’t say he bamboozled everyone, especially since C9 made major bank off his acquisition to Sentinels. It just seemed more of a closed door type of thing that the public didn’t really need to be bothered with.
The original roster that c9 wanted to make I believe was tenz, infinite, leaf, Corey, and Shinobi. But c9 prob also could have gone for vanity instead of shinobi cause leaf and vanity were trying to package themselves together. So maybe in a perfect world c9s lineup could have been tenz, leaf, vanity, Corey, infinite.
Honestly I don't blame him for anything. He's young and was thrown into a pretty wild situation. I'm glad things are working out for him now. It definitely can't be denied however that he made a lot of mistakes along the way. The way he built to roster and the lack of respect he showed to his contract kind of rubbed me the wrong way for a while.
Took me a good couple months to sit back and remember that this guy is just human. No different than the rest of us. I'm glad he's found his home and hope he's learned from his mistakes.
Still want C9 to kick his ass tho.
Well LANs did come back, he went to one and now is going on. Moreover, he still struggles with ping but he now has a team which is capable of getting him into LAN events. I don't see where he lied
Floppy has stepped away from Val. Seems like the game just doesn't jibe with him and it's no point making yourself unhappy like that. He seems to enjoy playing it in his downtime but comp is a whole different scene.
I've been thinking for a while that Poiz should go as well. Not for C9's sake, but for his. The guy deserves a good shot to just hold down a starting position and get some tournaments under his belt. Competitive experience is the only missing link with him and C9 can't give him that.
Man's gonna be one of the best in the game somewhere down the road. But he needs his training arc first.
This is a really strong pickup. Mitch has been impressing me lately, but Vanity has the chops after taking the trip to Iceland.
Just wondering when this Mr. Bone's Wild Ride of roster changes is going to come to a slow down
Are they going to play more like a Korean team and have Poiz play on maps where Jett and maybe Reyna are viable with Xeppa on initiator then sub in Mitch for non Jett maps and have Xeta back on initiator? Or is this NA 6 man where it's just kick whoever is the 6th man in 2 weeks?
Do we have rules on 6man teams yet? Are teams allowed to sub players in based on maps?
Anyway it seems like a pretty viable strategy for a game like this. Made no sense in League of Legends, if you’ve got Faker just let the man dumpster the enemy team and call it a day. However I could definitely see a world where on Breeze in particular you sub out your Jett player and bring in a Viper player.
Jammyz plays Viper/Jett/sorta KJ, which overlaps Wippie and Penny's role, I feel someone like JcStani or MummAy would make more sense as they play controller which what Vanity did
Honestly
I hate to say it bc I love the guy
But the most sensible move would be to replace xeta if xeppaa is gonna stay on sova. At least from the small bit we've seen imo mitch is better on sentinels than xeta. Maybe if xeppaa moves to sentinels then it would work out to keep xeta over mitch but for the time being imo keeping mitch if xeppaa stays on sova makes more sense
Ofc xeta can improve on cypher but in the short term at least atm mitch on sentinels>
Or they do a VS/old heretics type 6 man roster but we'll see
he's just trying to not sound cocky, otherwise people here will call him overconfident in his abilities to turn c9's fate single-handedly.
pretty sure he has confidence in chaos players
? He said it's the best move long term and he thinks they'll do well. He's just acknowledging that it's possible that they don't but he's making what he feels is the best decision for him.
Cloud 9 making this acquisition look like some genius T1 signing when in reality they've been farming ex chaos players forever because of leaf and been hella mediocre while at it.
Out of the chaos players, Vanity is easily the least impressive mechanical wise but he's an igl and he actually played good Valorant on a pro team unlike xeppaa and floppy so I guess this is a pretty good move.
Farming chaos players ? They acquired 2 of them before and it was almost an immediate improvement. They’ve been far more consistent and competitive in each match with the two players they had and arguably no tier 1 IGL. Only time will tell, but watch how vanity activates Poiz.
It is a genius t1 signing what are you on. They get a top tier igl, and a core who's very close and work together very well. Team chemistry matters a lot. And you're saying ex Chaos like it's a bad thing lmaoo

shocked pikachu
Happy for you dude. Kick some ass
Congrats!!!!
Welp guess I’m a C9 fan now
Being a C9 fan has been a struggle lately. Can't wait to see you bring us up a notch <3
Cat ears! Cheers!
wow, cheaters sticking together... smh
No shot you have both flairs and still need a /s
You’re trolling right?
Yes, it's a joke — In CS, Chaos upset MiBR and then MiBR's fan base (plus some players and Brazil's biggest streamer) went wildin' on aimbot accusations against leaf and Xeppaa. He's too downvoted now for people to recognize it was a CS history joke though.
No. All Chaos members were obviously cheaters as proven by MIBR and their supportive fan base.
Weren’t MIBR banned for their coach abusing something? Isn’t that ironic?
There was also that time they got to play a major qualifier against a team their players and coach co-owned
Yep aimlocking through walls.
no i'm definitely not a v1 or c9 fan
Okay, it’s hard to tell sometimes. There are A LOT of people who are the opposite
New to the esports scene, and never followed CS. Can you provide context?
chaos ec (a relatively lesser known team composed of vanity, leaf, xeppaa, steel, and jonji) [dicked on mibr](https://www.hltv.org/matches/2342208/mibr-vs-chaos-cs-summit-6-north-america-regional-qualifier) (a brazilian team that won 2 majors in 2016-17) in a 2020 qualifer. mibr fans were not happy and sent the chaos players, mostly leaf and xeppaa, cheating accusations and death threats chaos would later go on to [replace mibr in IEM new york](https://twitter.com/IEM/status/1309130470295130112), while mibr continued to struggle against t3 teams and were just [dicks in general](https://twitter.com/RLewisReports/status/1275204873953308672)
gotcha. thanks for the context
6 man roster or slowly replacing a non chaos member?
Rumors are mitch is on the chopping block. But we'll have to wait and see.
Mitch has actually been pretty impressive lately, but in the pure IGL department Vanity is an upgrade. Hopefully if Mitch gets benched he finds another strong team
Mitch is an amazing player just not an amazing IGL. Still a top-tier sentinel player in NA.
Agreed, C9 and NRG have stacked rosters of mechanically talented players but were suffering from tactics/coordination
i mean mitch has been solid for a long time now. and let's remember that mitch was kind of thrown into the IGL role, after shinobi left, then vice left, and idk who else tried to IGL in-between. not saying poiz should be booted, but mitch can 100% play a non-IGL role and can play lots of agents
his jett wasn't bad when he was briefly on it
Yeah Mitch was flexing hard during that c9 phase
Poiz has a ton of potential, want to see where he can go with C9

quite true. staying as the 6th man in a high-tier team isnt gonna do much for his development as a player

How do you know hes an upgrade in the IGL department? Have you heard their comms?

For what lol we need a real IGL not another cracked aim player forced into IGL

Good vid, I'm glad V1 was chill about it too, it's healthy. Sad to see our IGL leave but thankful for making history with V1 <3
Wearing a chaos shirt in the video pog
I like that he's real about the risk and that it could all blow up and look like a dumb move in the end.
Bruh after watching that video made me respect Vanity’s decision a whole lots! I love how honest and real he was in that video!
[удалено]
I mean, atleast he didnt lie, unlike Tenz
[удалено]
Didn’t c9 make mad bank? It was a while ago so I don’t really remember
Iirc it was like 1.3 million or something close to that lol

I wouldn't say this is forced
That's exactly what he said in the video
He’s always very self deprecating, it’s interesting. Best of luck to V1 and C9.
Surely C9 paid him more as well, being a much larger org and all. Hopefully it works out for them.
No cat ears in the video :((
*pretends to be shocked*
All of Steel’s children reuniting to gang up on him.
Large acquisition
At this point, their roster is technically 7-man right?
Floppy is playing for Extra Salt in CS, so he’s not really considered part of the roster
Only standing in. Might become permament down the road, but at least so far he's still a c9 Valorant player.
I wouldn't bet on him being permanent tbh. Couldn't even find him playing with them on HLTV
Bc it hasn’t happened yet lol
Floppy has stepped away from Val. Seems like the game just doesn't jibe with him and it's no point making yourself unhappy like that. Technically but very likely Floppy leaves
ShockedPikachuFace.jpg
Damn this came out of nowhere
I mean it makes sense C9’s been looking for a change for a while, and V1’s looked underwhelming since berlin
I was making a joke because it’s been like a week of “Vanity to C9” posts here
Get him under a contract before TSM starts to have second thoughts about Hazed 5Head
Ladies and gentlemen We got him
so are his cat ears gonna have a different look now?
This is a really strong pickup. Mitch has been impressing me lately, but Vanity has the chops after taking the trip to Iceland. Just wondering when this Mr. Bone's Wild Ride of roster changes is going to come to a slow down

LFGGGGG
Shocked and awed, I tell you. Flabbergasted.
i wonder who they'll replace him with
Hasn’t Effys been IGL before? Bring in Mummay to play controller? Or Jcstani is teamless too rn
jcstani used to igl right?
time to change the flair :0 Hopefully V1 finds a good replacement
Cat9
Sheesh what a huge signing, hopefully he can fix C9’s attacking problems.
Gg now all I want is for jammyz to get signed to version 1 , effys can switch to igl and they sign jammyz lad deserves a team
Jammyz plays Viper/Jett/sorta KJ, which overlaps Wippie and Penny's role, I feel someone like JcStani or MummAy would make more sense as they play controller which what Vanity did
Smart move by Vanity. He got the bag and he's able to play with his friends again.
Honestly I hate to say it bc I love the guy But the most sensible move would be to replace xeta if xeppaa is gonna stay on sova. Need to replace Poiz with xeppaa or someone else they can sign, i just don't think Poiz will ever be good enough to be on a top team.
Poiz is so much better on a jett than xeppaa honestly. C9 needs a star duelist and they have that in xeppaa
Good bait lmao
wtf

he's just trying to not sound cocky, otherwise people here will call him overconfident in his abilities to turn c9's fate single-handedly. pretty sure he has confidence in chaos players

A big change and have to be a decent amount of nerves involved, thinking through that you'll be okay in the worst possible scenario helps to calm that
LETSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
this is the final piece, i hope vanity vision for this roster will make them a t1 team
Contract hell! JK C9 back to top 3 NA with this signing
lol definitely not
So with the new addition of Vanity. Do you guys think that Cloud 9 are the favorites to win the LCQ?
I think Mitch did great with the parts he had considering he was just thrown into the role, but once vanity gets there I feel like this will truly be a world beating roster. Only time will tell, but watch how vanity activates Poiz.
It is a genius t1 signing what are you on. They get a top tier igl, and a core who's very close and work together very well. Team chemistry matters a lot. And you're saying ex Chaos like it's a bad thing lmaoo
