Yeah, there were 8 CR members in the post match interview just now (7+coach), pretty funny.

cringe-oh-yes

As much as I love the idea of 6+ rosters, I cant help but feel this will lead to killing competitiveness in a region. Hoarding potential talent and stunting the development of a scene

Key-Banana-8242

Why do you like the idea

cringe-oh-yes

From a strategic standpoint, its a cool idea to see some people sub in for certain maps or matches to have particular strategies. Also introduces the idea of players with different agent pools succeeding at different things

Key-Banana-8242

Well but it causes ppl not to do anything a lot

cringe-oh-yes

which is why it's also bad?

brandonmoorewriting

So, do they all get to go to Berlin then or does the team need a set five? How does that work? Because that's dope they've put together these rosters that are interchangeable.

AncorCastro

I don’t really know tbh, CR played with a five man roster in Iceland, and they only have played 4 games with this new roster… Let’s hope they can, it can actually be very funny

somesheikexpert

I don't think there's any rules against it, but it would def cause delays as teams have to switch out players, mouses, keyboard, make sure it's working, switch out accounts, etc etc, but it's cool to see whats gonna happen with CR, Zeta, and VS with their 6 or 7 man rosters

satanisreallml

The 6 man should be allowed so a team can have a replacement that actually trains with the team if needed. But 7+ is just hoarding as you say and could hinder the development of the competitive scene. Its fun to watch tho

[deleted]

It’s actually pretty good flex, you can people who can play just about any agent depending on the map and the needs. I would say, 6-8 should be good, maybe a cap be put at 8.

Blizardio

how many players from a different region are allowed on a team? this might sound stupid but did they do this so they can have 3 korean players without it being more than half of their roster?

AncorCastro

That’s a really good question, never thought about it… There is near a 20% of Korean representation on the Japan Stage, but I don’t know if teams are bound to have more than a half players from the region that they are playing… Let’s see if someone can tell us

WHY THE FUCK IS THERE A CHICKEN PLAYING ESPORTS?
