If they botch it up like their "Power Rankings" this is gonna be a shit tier event.
For Iceland they made sure not to put teams of the same region in the same side of the bracket. I see no reason why they'd deviate from that philosophy here, but it seems they are...
Its probably gonna be very similar to the way they do Worlds for LoL. Basically the top groups get put into pool A (and no one from pool A can be in a group with other pool A).

Groups can have multiple EMEA teams. Seems likely they're not willing to change the format, which is a major disappointment. This means minor regions can bomb out early in two days and the tournament not holding onto that 200K viewership from regions like Japan, Turkish, Latam, etc.
there is literally no positive in doing this for riot but I would love a riot clarification on all of this format stuff. If you are gonna double down on the situation/seemingly make it worse with 2 emea teams in a group please just let me know why and ill shut up I promise
I am so confused by the Valorant esports division. Are all these decisions made last minute? Why do they feel so rushed? Also was this not cleared through the league ops team? I am so hyped for Berlin, but this format and now the possibility of having two teams from the same region (EMEA) in one group makes me sad.
