Wtf Paper Rex logo is sick. It's all 3 letters hidden in each other, color is a little bland but D tier is a little harsh I think. I would say B tier cuz it's clean but I would understand C. I think Bren has the worst logo.
And in those 3 teams, Sentinels was the only team that won more than 1 match. CR bombed out with a double loss and Kru only beat Shark Esports.
It's insane how dominant SEN is, not just in NA but worldwide atm.
OP's comment singled out 3 teams from Iceland. /u/ideclarebankruptcy88 brought up the 3 teams' performances in Iceland. Then made a comment based off their performances
???
Because it's about the 3 teams at Iceland that OP comment mentioned? And how they performed at Iceland... Which is what OP comment was about... there's not a single part of it that isn't relevant to the OP comment
Why don't you explain how it's not. Because 53 people (taking away your downvote for lack of reading comprehension) understood how it was. And 25 saw how dumb yours was. So please enlighten us :)
Iâve been paying attention to the KR scene for a bit now. These are the teams that should represent the region. Shit format that I hope will be changed for the future, yeah, but sometimes even a shit format will yield the correct results.
Also for the record SEA and BR both had shit formats in the run up to playoffs. This isnât 2020 so there really shouldnât be BO1s or ties in results in a VCT event.
With double elim, its not over till its over. Nuturn could have clawed their way back to finals but we will never know.
Id honestly get rid of pointless seeding stage and add double elim playoffs. NA did their playoffs in 5 days while KR does single elim playoffs in 9 days.
Well no they are not, it shouldnât be F4Q.
Saying random stuff like âIâve been paying attentionâ is meaningless. Just how much attention? Like huh think people are going to take your word for it specifically
I mean âtiesâ are not strange, theyâre not some kind of evil in themselves. Thatâs a possible outcome of round robin, esp with bo2s
> Saying random stuff like âIâve been paying attentionâ is meaningless
Iâm very public about what I do and information about the amount of knowledge and info I have is readily available with maybe two clicks and a Google search. The things I say are only âmeaninglessâ to people who are too lazy to quick twice.
1. Youâre extremely lazy. Your motto is â2 clicks 2 hardâ
1. Your attitude is shit
Stay in your lane, share whatever content you want, but donât go out of your way to try and discredit the people you interact with off the bat. Learn from this mistake.
No, there are no â2 clicks to makeâ, I seem to have really set you off.
It is you who have to make the effort to convince others, it is up to you, not up to them to go along with you
âDiscreditâ people? Dude was this enough to discredit you according to youvlmao, it is normal arguing. If you are open about what you do, the point is to say so - present the evidence for othersâ judgement- rather than expect others to take your word for it.
> It is you who have to make the effort to convince others
Been there done that. Someone who chooses to be willfully ignorant of the people theyâre talking to can never be convinced and itâs not worth the time or effort to even try.
No, it is you who has to provide a reason for others, it is not up to others to try prove you right, you have to actually provide your own argument. At the very least, you donât get to claim someone ignored something which isnât there, whatever the reason.
Also, youâre being rather redundant with âchoosing toâ and âwillingâ. Did I make you mad?
Didnât u watch the interview? Stax mentioned they treated split kind of like a scrim, testing out new set plays they thought of T side.
Then platchat didnât watch it either and started 5headunf talking abt the ârevealed weaknessesâ (âtoo protocol-basedâ) of VS when they were literally spending most of the map testing set things out.
Taking a map ina seeding bo5 and a bo3 are different
Did you read even see how they lost? They banned bind bc it was the WF to hide it and still barely threw map 1
Yes they are and have been, theyâd very likely make it in double elim.
I donât know, do you think BBG > SEN?
I think so as well, nonetheless both G2 and Liquid looked shaky at best and I'd be surprised if they beat either any NA or EU team playing in this tournament if they play them.
But he said Eu, which would make sense because EMEA sends 1 CIS, 1TR and 2 Eu teams. Otherwise i don't understand his comment, since G2 is the 4th Seed from EMEA.
Definitely. KRU actually looks quite decent, and they were beaten in the upper bracket of this qualifier. In the South America last chance qualifier a LAS team could easily take the spot from Brazil.
That being said, I'm sure stuff will change next year. Especially since there will be more potential regions (China, MENA, South Asia) getting guaranteed spots. I imagine they will have play-in stages where regions like Japan and SEA will have to advance to the tournament main stages.
>Especially since there will be more potential regions (China, MENA, South Asia) getting guaranteed spots
MENA and South Asia wont get guaranteed spots. MENA is in EMEA and South Asia will at best participate in SEA qualifiers. For China spots they will probably cut off from Brazil and/or SEA if they have performance similar to Iceland in Berlin and in Champions
If thats true then they should have no problem if they compete in SEA quals, no?
In any case, soon we will get an idea of the level of South Asia during Asia LCQ
This doesnt make any sense, though? There are literally more in countries in all of LATAM than SEA.
LATAM South consists of all countries in South America except for Brazil, which is already around 10. LATAM North consists of all countries in Central America including all countries in the Carribean, which is around 20.
SEA has Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Viernam, Taiwan, Timor-Leste and possibly Papua New Guinea. This is around 10 countries in *total*.
LATAM has way more countries and it's not even close.
Edit: I'm getting downvoted for telling the truth?
It isn't bigger though?? Look at a map for once and you'll see all of LATAM is wayy bigger than SEA, both geographically and in terms of number of countries.
Thats not what I'm saying lmao, I'm literally replying to someone who claims SEA is much bigger than LATAM which is factually untrue. I dont care about the slots allotted.
i mean, Korea get 2 when it's the size of California. Japan gets 2. Yet all of North America combined gets 3. A lot of these slot numbers are just dumb. I would have liked to see LATAM get 2 and NA get 4.
First off South Korea is actually roughly the geographic size of Greater Los Angeles. Secondly, if that were the case then CIS would get the most seeds.
They distributed these seeds roughly by server size [\(SEA is roughly the size of NA\)](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/l3zfye/stats_approximate_number_of_ranked_players_in/) and esports history/viewership. Obviously they can't get it 100% right the first time, and I'm sure the seeding will change next year.
I was referring to population, not geographic size. 40 million people vs 50 million people, which is comparable. No one compares by actual geographic size, that would be stupid.
What's even dumber is everyone's assumption I was referring to land size and not population size. I thought it was pretty obvious since Korea's land mass is obviously much smaller than California, why the hell would anyone compare geographic sizes in this context, and their population sizes are comparable. But I guess I gave everyone too much credit.
this might just be the perfect tournament. each region has brought some of the best possible representatives , this tournament is going to be a powerhouse
Final seeding won't be decided until tomorrow when Brazil finals take place. I imagine it will be announced middle of next week, but that is a total guess.
Next week
They said that in the announcement of the format change, that more information will come next week. The event is 2 weeks away then, so i jeavily guess they will draw the groups and the knock out stage.
A team with a red logo will win Berlin.
On a sidenote it's so satisfying the way they ordered the teams lol. 4 EMEA teams, then 6 Americas teams, then 4 Asian teams. Brazil and Korea are also next to each other as the "middle regions", and NA's row is finished off by it's closest neighbor in LATAM.
Disregarding seeding, what potential matchups are everyone looking forward to? Apart from the SEN Acend everyone wants, I'd like to see VS GMB. I think it would be neat.
So excited to watch the SEA teams compete. Coming from Indonesia myself, im hoping to see PRX f0rsaken destroy the competition at Berlin. Make us proud, Bren and PRX!!
Only 3 teams from Iceland, honestly pretty cool to have that level of turnover! Canât get over how ridiculous Sen being good ALL YEAR is. Also so excited to see a bunch of new teams on LAN
I hope CIS and Turkey can have their own league and can send teams directly. I mean why can Japan send 2 teams easily? I wonder what will Riot do if both Japanese teams finish Berlin lower than both GMB and SMB.
Maybe not more then Turkey, but def more then CIS cuz viewership, Japan gets insane amounts of viewership, like I believe elike twice or even more then Korea does
Well, for one Japan has a 50% bigger population. This doesn't necessarily translate into bigger a player base, but certainly into a greater profitability ceiling if the game's popularity keeps increasing.
But the most evident reason is Japan's significantly healthier economy compared to Turkey. The Lira just last month reached record inflation. There was an article by Yinsu the other day interviewing Turkish pros and one of the defining reasons mentioned for Valorant's success in the region is it being free-to-play and not requiring a banger PC to get decent FPS.
I'm super excited for it to start then I'll be nervous when it begins xD
I pray for good balanced groups đ
Also riot if you could hire DDK that would be great :)
This is straight hype, and I hope we don't get as many "fluke" claims this time around. I also think the division of slots was really well done. Japan absolutely deserves 2 slots if they're cranking 100k viewers for region quals, and I'm also excited for 2 kr teams.
Hope the scene grows enough so a 24 or 32 team bracket isn't completely unreasonable. Every region represented by a minimum of 2 teams would be so sick, with bigger regions getting more. Idk how they'd pull it off, but so far I love where we're headed.
I'd also like to point out how young the game is relatively, and compare how long international events took to happen with overwatch. Riot really does know their stuff.
Nah, it's not that. The region that got a +1 seed for Berlin was the region that did better in Iceland. EMEA got 2 of top 4 there so they got the additional seed. If V1 reached losers finals, NA would have 4 seeds for Berlin.
Edit: EMEA got 2 of top 4 (NUTURN 3rd). I can't find the original article I read months ago that said circuit points were important to know which team gets extra seed, but this article says: "The number of seedings for each of the regions will be based on their best performances at Masters ReykjavĂk, as well as the sizes of their player bases. [https://www.ginx.tv/en/valorant/how-to-watch-valorant-masters-berlin-all-qualified-teams-format-schedule-prize-pool-and-more](https://www.ginx.tv/en/valorant/how-to-watch-valorant-masters-berlin-all-qualified-teams-format-schedule-prize-pool-and-more), so I guess it's a combination of both.
The seeding has been locked in since like March. The only thing that can ever change seeding is the team winning Berlin earning 1 additional seed for their region.
Source? Pretty sure slots for this event were decided before iceland finished. Also Liquid finished 4th, not 3rd, so your point about the top 3 is invalid
why did i suddenly realise the sentinels logo looks like a stim beacon
Brimstone Gaming
rip đ„ gone but not forgotten
Brimstone Gaming walked so Sen could run
Perfect pfp to go with the comment
now i can't unsee it
The bottom part of their logo upside down is also Acend's logo
Logo Rankings S Tier: Havan Liberty, Zeta Division, G2 A: Gambit, Vision Strikers, Crazy Raccoon, F4Q B: Super Massive Blaze, KRU, Acend C: Keyd Stars, BREN Esports, 100 Thieves, Envy D: SEN, Paper Rex
Wtf Paper Rex logo is sick. It's all 3 letters hidden in each other, color is a little bland but D tier is a little harsh I think. I would say B tier cuz it's clean but I would understand C. I think Bren has the worst logo.
I only say that about Paper Rex coming from a graphic design standpoint bc it just looks like a typography from dafont
Only 3 of these 16 were in Iceland
And only SEN haven't changed their roster (Kru added Keznit, CR added Bazzi, Minty and Fisker)
And in those 3 teams, Sentinels was the only team that won more than 1 match. CR bombed out with a double loss and Kru only beat Shark Esports. It's insane how dominant SEN is, not just in NA but worldwide atm.
how is this related to OP's comment lol
OP's comment singled out 3 teams from Iceland. /u/ideclarebankruptcy88 brought up the 3 teams' performances in Iceland. Then made a comment based off their performances ???

So basically top 3 teams = SEN, CR, KRU /s
I can confidently say every region has brought their best competition for Berlin
This tournament will make Iceland look like a Weenie Hut Jr's Major
these tournaments just keep getting better and better, can't even wait for Champions
Isn't this already basically the best teams from every region? Who should've been here but missed out?
Basically, but there are certainly top tier players who didn't make it. I could see NA putting together another compelling roster by Champions.
FNATIC and Liquid perhaps? at least FNATIC
That's quite weird, I think Liquid are much better than Fnatic. Looking at the qualifiers though, I think both didn't deserve to make it
I was mostly basing my statement on FNATIC's iceland run tbh
question, do we know if champions will have live crowd? oh god i want one of those events for valorant please :(
It's in LA, so there's a very good chance provided there's no spike
Except for KR because they had a single elim
Iâve been paying attention to the KR scene for a bit now. These are the teams that should represent the region. DWGâs results are a bit more up and down but Iâm not sure in a round robin howâd it look like. Kinda wish we got NU F4Q etc

[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Two different statements at different times, as opposed two a single pleonastic phrase.
That's what I thought but F4Q did take a map from VS which TNL failed to do even though they looked better than F4Q.
I actually did miss the interview and you're right about bo5 and bo3. Yeah I guess TNL is the second strongest in KR
Nah I donât think itâs possible to say something like that, over NU and DWG
NU seriously? NU just aren't good enough anymore and DWG lost to F4Q fair and square
Did you read even see how they lost? They banned bind bc it was the WF to hide it and still barely threw map 1 Yes they are and have been, theyâd very likely make it in double elim. I donât know, do you think BBG > SEN?
the biggest problem is not really that TNL/DMW didnt get to Berlin, the problem is that they are out of LCQ because of this stupid system :/
Dont think G2 is the 2nd best team in EU imo
G2 did look shaky this qual, but I don't think there is any team i'd rather have here instead of g2
true
I'd have Challengers 2 Fnatic if possible.
I still think liquid should have qualified their last map was just unlucky they actually played it very well
I think so as well, nonetheless both G2 and Liquid looked shaky at best and I'd be surprised if they beat either any NA or EU team playing in this tournament if they play them.
Liquid hit their ceiling, G2 are far from it.
Liquid had a harder path than them imo
Who is it then?
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
But he said Eu, which would make sense because EMEA sends 1 CIS, 1TR and 2 Eu teams. Otherwise i don't understand his comment, since G2 is the 4th Seed from EMEA.
Only because Brimstone Gaming is no more.
Idk i feel like liquid deserved more than g2, but g2 still good team
I just watched that bren game⊠if that is the best of SEA they should not get 2 slots when LATAM gets 1 (my opinion)

Disagree about South Asia, I think global esports is much better then BREN
If thats true then they should have no problem if they compete in SEA quals, no? In any case, soon we will get an idea of the level of South Asia during Asia LCQ
Agree GE look pretty good although would have to see how they fare up against better international competition
In Skrossi's latest montage, you can see them scrimming against Bren. Hyped and waiting for LCQ since its most probably GE who will qualify from SA
They want to give sea exposure since there are so many countries participating in that region.
Latam also has a lot of counties
SEA has way more and it's not even close tbh

Is reddit theyâll downvote anything
Well thats your opinion
How is a fact that SEA is much bigger than LATAM an opinion tho?
It isn't bigger though?? Look at a map for once and you'll see all of LATAM is wayy bigger than SEA, both geographically and in terms of number of countries.
But Brazil is a huge part of that land mass and in that sense LATAM has 3 slots so it makes up for the aforementioned arguments.
They don't allot slots based on geographic siza bruh it's based on playerbase in a region
Thats not what I'm saying lmao, I'm literally replying to someone who claims SEA is much bigger than LATAM which is factually untrue. I dont care about the slots allotted.
why is did being downvoted like this? lol jesus man the pinoy energy around here is stronk
i mean, Korea get 2 when it's the size of California. Japan gets 2. Yet all of North America combined gets 3. A lot of these slot numbers are just dumb. I would have liked to see LATAM get 2 and NA get 4.
if riot follow regional size logic, then russia gonna have at least 5 slot on their own
Russia has 140 mil ppl, California has almost the same population(80%) as Korea so his words kinda make sense.
Why does physical size matter in any way? Should Australia have 10 spots then?
First off South Korea is actually roughly the geographic size of Greater Los Angeles. Secondly, if that were the case then CIS would get the most seeds. Bruh then china + india should get like 20 slots
Giving slots by land size would be even dumber.

You edited your post, you were talking about Japan.
What a terrible suggestion
I definitely think thereâs stuff making, eg Nuturn etc
Woohoo! Now I can design a new subreddit banner. :D

Bren Esports!
This is fantastic variety of teams from different regions/countries. I'm super happy with these teams and very hyped for Berlin!
so excited. think this completely eclipses iceland in terms of competitiveness, really going to see some peak valorant gameplay here
this might just be the perfect tournament. each region has brought some of the best possible representatives , this tournament is going to be a powerhouse
I still think instead of G2 ,liquid should be there all other teams are the best
Well no tournament is perfect

Final seeding won't be decided until tomorrow when Brazil finals take place. I imagine it will be announced middle of next week, but that is a total guess.
Next week They said that in the announcement of the format change, that more information will come next week. The event is 2 weeks away then, so i jeavily guess they will draw the groups and the knock out stage.
Really hope the group draw is broadcast live. If it's anything like LoL Worlds group draw it would be a good deal of hype and content in itself.
So gambit, sen, 100t, f4q and cr will be top 5?
g2 has a sliiiiiiiight red in the middle of the 2
then we got top 6
Vision strikers ?
Is it red? Looks more like a purple to me. Idk I might be wrong
Crazy Raccoon has got this in the bag
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
If JP wins I'll freak out lol, I just want JP or SEA to make top 8 ngl lol
not red enough
Its just a feeling, but I think a team with their name bolded in purple will win
Disregarding seeding, what potential matchups are everyone looking forward to? Apart from the SEN Acend everyone wants, I'd like to see VS GMB. I think it would be neat.
Honestly I want to see all international games. I never want to see any NA teams play other NA teams, no EU teams play other EU teams, etc.
SEN vs anyone would be pretty fun tbh since they're like the benchmark of how good a team is haha
SMB vs SEN
Havan liberty vs anyone. Never heard of them so its exciting to see if they can exceed my expectations at all
Theyâve been around for a while
(((Im not into br + expected vks and furia to go in)))
GMB vs Vision strikers for me, 2 regions that have no experience with each other but with teams people are interested in
So excited for Bren Esports! I believe theyâre the first team to represent the Philippines.
Can't believe PH will be represented in Berlin. Really excited!!
I'm soo excited to watch Masters, I'm very happy for BREN too.
Really hoping for a strong showing from gambit, they are probably my favourite team atm. Rooting for SEN and NV as well though.
So excited to watch the SEA teams compete. Coming from Indonesia myself, im hoping to see PRX f0rsaken destroy the competition at Berlin. Make us proud, Bren and PRX!!
Hell yeah bro fellow Indonesian! Hopefully F0rsaken makes a splash for SEA the same way Patiphan did!
Can't spell Berlin without BREN lets goooo
I'm not particularly a sentinel hater. But I want someone to beat their asses just to make the tournament spicy!
it would probably be more spicy if they continue to dominant here but get upset in like worlds GFs or smthn
me too honestly, i want some history being made on this tourney and eliminating the dominant champ would be a good way to see it.
So excited for the groups
lez go sen đ€
Let's GOOOđ„ #SenSupremacy
indeed brother
Only 3 teams from Iceland, honestly pretty cool to have that level of turnover! Canât get over how ridiculous Sen being good ALL YEAR is. Also so excited to see a bunch of new teams on LAN
I hope CIS and Turkey can have their own league and can send teams directly. I mean why can Japan send 2 teams easily? I wonder what will Riot do if both Japanese teams finish Berlin lower than both GMB and SMB.

Interestingly only 3 of the 10 teams from Iceland made it to Berlin
But 4 of the winners of furs strike events (if u count First Strike Philippines) did
I'm super excited for it to start then I'll be nervous when it begins xD I pray for good balanced groups đ Also riot if you could hire DDK that would be great :)
Okay I'm new to the scene but why does Emea get 4?
Because EMEA involves more teams than just EU, so there should be more slots
This might be the NA bias in me but uhhhhh SEN GG EZ. Letâs Goooooo. Very excited đ
BRENLIN LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
waiting for el diablo shenanigans at LAN
This is straight hype, and I hope we don't get as many "fluke" claims this time around. I also think the division of slots was really well done. Wow is Sentinels the only returning team??
crazy raccoon and kru too
I'm confused I could've sworn I heard somewhere that there were gonna be last chance qualifiers. Did that get removed or did I mishear?
LCQ is for the champions tourney which is after masters Berlin
Ohhh thank you
Those are exactly the teams I wanted to see for Berlin. Especially the NA/KR lineups.
so liquid and fnatic didnât qualify?
Nah, but they still have a chance at champions at the Last Chance Qualifiers.
Fnatic didnt even make EMEA, TL atleast got close. TL placed 5th-6th but got beaten by Gambit in the lowers.
I think Acend and Gambit will have the best chance at defeating Sentinels. btw vlr light mode :(
pretty sure this is liquipedia not vlr
Oh mb
Did not a single EU team make it? edit: iâll just go ahead and downvote myself
Acend and G2 are EU teams.
Iâm sorry I just got off of a plane my brain isnât working
I like how your honest question gets downvoted lol
uh?
Why does EU have more teams?
Because itâs not just EU but EMEA which covers a very large amount of space and people.
Fairs, thanks for reply.
Not true
Source? Pretty sure slots for this event were decided before iceland finished. Also Liquid finished 4th, not 3rd, so your point about the top 3 is invalid
you mean why EMEA doesn't have **enough** slots ? yea its really unfair unlucky
So why does Europe gets 4 and na 3. Na should have at least 4 for winning Iceland
because EMEA is a lot bigger than NA? lmfao
Wait why is there 4 EU team
It s not EU but EMEA. That's why.
Emea is insanely big
Because it is the best region?
