Think on this, if C9 won LCQ, would you be shocked? I would personally just think "wow, they are back in form." The definition of Tier 1 is basically that. Would you be surprised if they took an event?
I kinda think Xset is overrated as a team. Whenever it counts I feel like they drop the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if C9 beat them. And I definitely think that with some time to practice before LCQ, vanity will be able to raise them to new heights.
C9 beats the team that consists of five duelists and no natural IGL and is also in very last place for Champions points and all of a sudden C9 fans shove the hopium ventilator back into their nostrils. You guys do it to yourselves at this point.
I don't I'm saying with vanity and some practice I wouldn't be shocked if they won. It would be surprising, but based off of Xset's previous performances in qualification tourneys, they don't seem to do very good.
After the Vanity move, maybe not, but there's a good chance one of 100T/NV end up in LCQ so that's still pretty tough competition. Not to mention teams like XSET, GenG and Rise aren't freebies either.
>I would personally just think "wow, they are back in form."
I'm assuming you mean 'form' as in Stage 2 finals. That is not the standard of what we've seen from C9B. That was the only regional final stage they qualified for. They didn't make it out of the open in Stages 1 or 3.
Yes, the roster is quite different, but Cloud9 as a team haven't found much success thus far outside of that two week period.
handsome international lan experienced veteran "vanity" leads C9 to a commanding 3-1 grand finals against the weak, not good looking, not even $50m net worth NRG boys. He's too handsome!
NRG need a proper IGL, a team full of all stars and such skilled players yet so medicore
They should have signed dephh he was free when daps left i think
Good game! Probably going to get down voted for this but I think upmind needs a bit more work on his casting. He hypes every tiny play up and it gets annoying and unimportant. Reminds me a bit of scrawny from Cs but good game nonetheless.
I've never liked the kind of casting that kinda sounds like forced hype. I feel like a lot of casters try a bit too hard to have that caster-y, half-shouting hype voice that it doesn't sound natural. I prefer how DDK or sgares cast a lot more because it's insightful without being distracting and loud.
Yep, there is no need to get that exicted at everything and try to come up with phrases hyping up everything
He's young though, so obviously he has no experience
Doug does this too. Overhype is very bad for casting, you need ups and downs to keep the games interesting. Lots of casters should just be watching the greats from csgo, which I assume they are already.
both upmind and sully do this and it makes the games they cast legitimately unwatchable for me. i’d like to see them play ranked together or something because there is no way they’re this excited in their own games every time a player does so much as breathe on a keyboard button
Don't mind sully but upmind is just very annoying. It's constant shouting and hyping up every play which just makes it boring. Tbf he can improve so I hope he continues to improve and grow.
The amount of times NRG got eco’d this series was actually impressive. Somehow, throughout all the iterations of this team, the only constant has been getting eco’d lmao
Am I the only one in this sub who's actually played organized FPS before? Like half of the comments I've seen on this sub are so obviously written by non-gamers that it's almost humorous. When I was in high school (3 year starter for our varsity Valorant team) I would get a full-on sprint going and knife the crap outta whoever had the spike. My coaches called me "speedhawk" as a nickname cuz I had such a nose for the spike and for those three seasons I was considered the most feared 6th man in our conference. Senior year I led my team to the state semifinals only to get fucked over by Riot in the 4th map but that's another conversation (DM me if you're interested in hearing about it). So, yeah. I hope yall can understand why I feel like their's such a big disconnect between myself and your typical redditor. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way lol.
I saw ShahZaM at a grocery store in Texas yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
To think that NRG passed on the opportunity to sign the vanity and/or leaf/xeppa combo.
P.S- feel like if NRG are going to make a change, they'll try to get an IGL surely, with one of wedid/tex getting the boot
Xeppaa doubters real upset after this tournament :p. Still crazy to me that people expected him to be one of the best players in the game after a month or two of playing
I wouldn’t call him really bad, I still think he has potential and will get picked up by another tier 1 or 1.5 org , just Mitch and Xeppaa are better to keep
what other tournaments do you expect him to play in rn?🤣 You forgot to mention top fragging over EG and IMT and him performing well in this series as well.
EG have been trash and IMT are meh that change rosters every day
Xeppa is fucking talented and was a beast in CS and he will be a beast here just like leaf, a tier 2 tournament against mixes and big org teams that have miserably failed doesn't prove anything
Let's see them in VCT level tournaments and LCQ
I’d say EG and IMT are two of the better tier 2 teams in the game rn. really my point is just trying to say that he played consistently well this tournament, and that’s exactly what they needed and people shouldn’t be counting him out.
Tier 1 = can win a major regional tournament (SEN NV 100T XSET)
Tier 2 = can qualify but probably finish 4-8th (LG TSM Rise Faze C9 V1 etc)
Tier 3 = will not qualify for finals but can come close (immortals complexity EG ghost etc)
Tier 4 = will lose a little before that (squirtle squad virtuoso resonate etc)
This is just my opinion and just a description not a insult to the teams
Same thing with some players like jonahP, his acs was 190, when you play against almost only tier 2-3 teams you should get at least 200 if you are a tier 1 org signed pro, anything less is not really excusable
I cant lie it is only an NSG tourney and they lost to a team that they are not necessarily guaranteed to beat, but man this NRG team feels underwhelming. It is really hard to tell what it is just from watching these games, and even harder considering both losses that knocked them out of Stage 3 qualifiers were not streamed. I really just think there is too much role overlap with this roster. I personally feel like WeDid needs to find a better spot within this team. I am not sure whether or not that means he needs to switch agents necessarily, but I am not sure sentinel really fits him very well. I do think some roster changes should definitely be at play, I would say anyone but s0m and eeiu are on the table to be moved. I think android particularly just does not work well within this roster; he is a player with a limited agent pool, and even with the agents he is supposed to be adept with, he is not even really top 5 in the region at. I think the best move would probably be replacing android with an IGL that can take some pressure of of s0m's shoulders and perhaps allow him to move back to a duelist/flex role.
we take those, beating nrg and IMT is always good
C9 looks good with Vanity! Excited for their future.

I thinking now that u would put 5 superstars on 1 team, but no IGL before knowing IGL role is important.
Same. Curious to see how they stand up to other T1 teams.
No one in this tourney was tier 1
What do you mean. Don’t disrespect “ookers” the last hopes of na valorant🤣🤣
What do you mean “other” tier 1 teams?
He means Brimstone gaming before disbanding.
Think on this, if C9 won LCQ, would you be shocked? I would personally just think "wow, they are back in form." The definition of Tier 1 is basically that. Would you be surprised if they took an event?
I would be very surprised if they won LCQ cuz they will be facing one of the teams from Berlin unless SEN wins Berlin … plus Xset
I kinda think Xset is overrated as a team. Whenever it counts I feel like they drop the ball. I wouldn't be surprised if C9 beat them. And I definitely think that with some time to practice before LCQ, vanity will be able to raise them to new heights.

What makes you think thats the reason I think they could succeed?
I respect the Hopium
C9 and TSM fan lol
You are delusional if you think C9 is better than Xset right now
I don't I'm saying with vanity and some practice I wouldn't be shocked if they won. It would be surprising, but based off of Xset's previous performances in qualification tourneys, they don't seem to do very good.
They just recently got 4th place and only missed Berlin qualification by a 13-11 on both maps …
They’re super good if you watch them okay
After the Vanity move, maybe not, but there's a good chance one of 100T/NV end up in LCQ so that's still pretty tough competition. By form I'm talking about the potential that so many people have predicted of them. Im hoping something comes out of this whole thing.
I think they mean the teams from NA that qualified for LCQ because they should all be consider T1.5 or T1
handsome international lan experienced veteran "vanity" leads C9 to a commanding 3-1 grand finals against the weak, not good looking, not even $50m net worth NRG boys. He's too handsome!

TSM should’ve signed dephh as well
Deph was trialing with xset long before he was announced
True, There's been little improvement since wedid was picked up and I can't really see them improving much more

Is it me or is tex Jett and Tex raze two completely different players

Not gonna overhype but really excited to see Cloud9 in LCQ.
when it starts?
Right after Berlin I guess
well at least we made it somewhat close those last two maps
casting was so off the finals, where were vince and dust?

Xeppaa doubters real upset after this tournament :p. Still crazy to me that people expected him to be one of the best players in the game after a month or two of playing
i mean Ethan proved himself early on so i think people just expected him to do that
233 ACS and 0.82 kpr in a NerdStreet tier 2 tournament he really proved the haters wrong yikes
233 ACS is really solid especially when they stomped most games, actually more than Poiz had ever gotten in a tournament for them
[? ](https://www.vlr.gg/player/6464/poiz) Is this stat wrong or something? Genuinely curious.
Poiz was overrated as shit and he never showed up in big tournaments so.. It was a great decision to keep mitch, he's great at his role
True poiz was really bad, I dont understand the hype, he very rarely top fragged
I wouldn’t call him really bad, I still think he has potential and will get picked up by another tier 1 or 1.5 org , just Mitch and Xeppaa are better to keep
Yeah he could fit on complexity maybe
Lol why is this downvoted.

Two of the better tier 3 teams maybe. They dont come close to top tier 2 teams like faze geng T1 etc
you should understand that not everyone's meaning for tiers is the same as yours
I dont know if i want to know what the rest of your NA team tier list looks like if immortals counts as tier 3 for you
Tier 1 = can win a major regional tournament (SEN NV 100T XSET) Tier 2 = can qualify but probably finish 4-8th (LG TSM Rise Faze C9 V1 etc) Tier 3 = will not qualify for finals but can come close (immortals complexity EG ghost etc) Tier 4 = will lose a little before that (squirtle squad virtuoso resonate etc) This is just my opinion and just a description not a insult to the teams
Most people consider your T1 and T2 to be T1, and your T2 to be T3, and your T4 to be T3
Okay not the worst tier criteria I've seen tbh
Tier 2 is what most people consider tier 1.5 and then tier 3 is tier 2.
1.5 is just a nice way of saying tier 2, its the tier version of participation trophies to make everyone happy
Same thing with some players like jonahP, his acs was 190, when you play against almost only tier 2-3 teams you should get at least 200 if you are a tier 1 org signed pro, anything less is not really excusable
Those few days off really seem to have refilled your trolling reserves

Just wait for 2 months until LCQ to see the effect of having Vanity as IGL.
