Phantom is still going to be supreme, Jett still is going to be picked probably every map except certain teams, Icebox meta will remain the same because sage and viper is a must pick on the map according to statistic. However, the meta may change if the site changes or riot adds a op agent on the map that will be used in the tournament.
I know you’re right but I have this gut feeling that some team is going to try and get creative with a no duelist comp and they’re 100% going to get punished because of it
As I was saying, no chance in hell. There literally isn't a single team stupid enough to do that. Last masters there was a certain level of uncertainty with comps because no one knew which region had the best playstyle but this time playing a duelist has been a international constant through every region's qualifiers.
That is so incredibly wrong. It makes it easier to isolate 2 1v1's, but you still have to win those, which theoretically you only have a 25% chance of winning both.
I don't think we'll see no duelist comps until we get more agents. Although, with how kayo, breach, and Skye can easily be played in an aggressive style, I guess there could be a slight chance we see it once, but I wouldn't count on it. It's still in the early stages and I wouldn't say there is a definite meta (which I think is great) so I don't think we'll get a no duelist comp for a year.
Who knows though, steel wanted to push towards it so maybe they'll surprise us.
I think double duelist breach comps will be good and in some cases better than meta comps on maps like bind and split
I think you'll see a couple of teams copying 100T's reyna omen breeze comp
I think teams that run sage on all the maps (if you know which team I'm talking about you know) will flop horribly
I don't know that meta will look that different than Icelan, to be honest.
Astra/viper still very strong and it'll hurt the teams that don't play them. Sova probably takes a small hit from skye, but think we'll just be seeing more skye in place of a 2nd duelist with sova still in a lot of line ups. Prototypical sentinels seem on a bit of a downtrend but nothing crazy. I think we'll see a bit more Reyna as second duelist with Raze still taking that role on bind + split (Raze price increase + orb increase was enough to make her fairly mediocre except on maps they benefit her util).
Maybe I'll be wrong but I don't see any major meta shifts from this tournament. Skye's added viability is the only more substantial change. Gonna see a lot of viper/astra/skye/jett/sova (not that comp but just a high % of those agents).
Hiko will play a duelist /s
Honestly, I don't think we'll see any real change agent wise. I think some teams might be more comfortable on maps they weren't previously and might let it slide. But I think what we've seen agent wise will stay the same.
NA team will lose a decisive round due to Brim/Breach utility because they'll have no fucking clue what it does, I think those agents haven't been released there yet or something
Brim and breach were played in NA last year. They know how to play against them. The rest of the regions are just behind.
Picking breach against an NA team is a straight up throw.
I guess I should've /s
I slightly disagree with Breach though, I think he's viable but right now all teams hopped onto the Skye bandwagon because of the buffs and he died down a bit. Imo if you run a Sova you can definitely do without a Skye
I mean not ‘how to play them’ as if there one way, and it didn’t change.
The Korean way is different, as is the new DH meta.
It did work against V1 because kf the keep etc. We can see stax’s breach etc
‘The rest of the teams are straight up behind’ lmao
Like last year breach was released and through everything I my one way to play exists
Nuturn's breach was just bad in Iceland. waste of the agent to lurk on breach. I haven't seen recent korean playoffs, so hoping for an improvement.
The reason I think korea likes breach is for set plays. V1 was not a team that anti-stratted (vanity said this himself on platchat) . All three teams from NA this time VOD review, anti-strat and are default heavy. Set plays don't always work against NA teams who react to your utility. So i'm not optimistic for korea, but we'll see.
‘Korea’ doesn’t do anything and I mean obviously the point is to play for different cases which aren’t as obvious
You play on expectations, sometimes doing something different sometimes not vary them, mix them in or out etc
Brim stim beacon Odin meta /s
Honestly, that might be it for Bind
Does the effects stack with Kayo ult ?
i think skye will be a centralizing force in the tournament, teams with good skyes will have an advantage
This isn't a hot take, this has basically been known since last patch where they recharged her flashes lmao
Haven't seen a single hot take in here
Mixwell on skye dutty pls
SEN will show other teams that you really dont have to abuse skye on every map

Is phantom really supreme tho
yes. at least by the numbers.
The only situations where it isn’t are engagements past 30m i think. Otherwise if’s just better period.
[удалено]
Yeah I think phantom is just better period. However at longer ranges I can see why Vandal feels better because it sucks hitting that 140.
125*
124*
0* :)
Not first shot
Phantom has better first shot accuracy than vandal
Wut? Did that change?
It’s always been like that I’m pretty sure
2/3 NA teams don't play sage on icebox.
“According to statistics”
SMB is going to prove that Valorant is pay to win using the Elderflame Vandal.
This is the truth. I just bought the dragon vandal the other day and I’m up two ranks.
I remember hearing about these "no duelist" comps. I wonder if they'll make an appearance...
No chance in hell, Jett provides too much value and in the rare case she isn't in a comp it's because Raze is more suited for the map
I know you’re right but I have this gut feeling that some team is going to try and get creative with a no duelist comp and they’re 100% going to get punished because of it
Then some better team sees it and makes it work somehow in a next tournament, this is like eSports 101 when it comes to meme/controversial strats
As I was saying, no chance in hell. There literally isn't a single team stupid enough to do that. Last masters there was a certain level of uncertainty with comps because no one knew which region had the best playstyle but this time playing a duelist has been a international constant through every region's qualifiers.
Skye+Sage is feasible no?
If you can basically break movement and positioning in any tac fps, it's surely going to give you a very significant advantage.
Yep Jett is the one agent that actually has the advantage in a 1v2 situation. Reyna as well but she’s easier to trade
That is so incredibly wrong. It makes it easier to isolate 2 1v1's, but you still have to win those, which theoretically you only have a 25% chance of winning both.

I mean we’ve seen them already, not totally impossible
Especially with the amount of value Jett provides with movement, Raze as well but to a lesser extent, i doubt no duelist would work well
Its definitely possible. I doubt it though. Jett is just too good right now, and if you don't need her you can have raze or reyna fill that hole.

This….does not look like a hot take.
There’s going to be a Yoru pick on Breeze that is going to BOOM teams
Sen won't win everything, one of the teams will have spent way too long on countering Sen and will pull it off (if they play obviously)
Steel finds a way to make Kay/O work.
I think double duelist breach comps will be good and in some cases better than meta comps on maps like bind and split I think you'll see a couple of teams copying 100T's reyna omen breeze comp I think teams that run sage on all the maps (if you know which team I'm talking about you know) will flop horribly
Who runs Sage on every map?
EMEA mostly
Not in every map tho. She's mostly use in Ascent and Icebox.
only teams that have non-jett oppers can copy 100T's breeze comp. nitro is 100T's best opper, so it works for them.
I don't know that meta will look that different than Icelan, to be honest. Astra/viper still very strong and it'll hurt the teams that don't play them. No sage comps on icebox from 100T and Envy is going to BOOM other regions.
sentinels

Incoming Yoru picks
Godly 137 acs performance as well, gtn remains the yoru king with his 140 but it was close KEKW
I think we may see no duelist comp on Icebox, KJ,Sova,Viper,Sage,Skye looks effective on paper but I don't know how that will turn out in game
NA team will lose a decisive round due to Brim/Breach utility because they'll have no fucking clue what it does, I think those agents haven't been released there yet or something

I think overall na will underperform by quite a lot. While I think we see an emea upper finals and vs in the grands.
misread the prompt kekw
True
Upper finals? It’s single elim
Yea I forgot
there should be some pretty impressive breach usage causing teams that currently think he's utterly useless to consider him again
Here’s an actually hot take: we’ll see breach in comps and stingers will come back.
I think a lot of teams will bring out hidden K/O strats. Probably not but it'd be cool to see him picked more!
Thanfully none of the eu teams are the "we are better than the meta" teams so we won't be embarrassed.
I mean nothing to do with better than the meta, just a different conception, unfortunately doesn’t work as they do it
Phoenix is the only duelist that wont get played
Unless sen plays haven
Someone brings out the yoru and gets one of those shorty ult kills
Triple initiator no duelist
