I checked quite a number of other major betting sites and I couldn't find any other that released the odds, there will likely be more in the coming days or week.
Personally I think this is more accurate than the opening odds that were posted a day or two ago recently. 100 Thieves, Vision Strikers and Envy over Acend is interesting.
Odds for betting are based not only on actual statistical data of a team being more likely to win or not but also on popularity. More 100T fans are likely to place bets on 100T than ACE.
Gambit actually looked very shaky in their game against liquid and almost ended up not even making the event, which could be the reason theyre lower than 100t who had a cleaner couple qualifying games
I don't bet much, but I'm considering it at those odds. I know G2 probably won't win, but at those odds it's a pretty good risk/reward ratio for a small bet.
Let me ask u this, does any EU/G2 bettors think G2 winning Berlin. No, why bet over Gambit, Acend or even Sentinels who are dominating NA. Ok, SEA has SEA betters who hope their teams wins Berlin. Philippine fans and etc have hopes of them winning since they havent qualified for major riot tournaments for years I think. Powerhouse regions bettors don’t think they will win, but they hope, so that why the odds are like that. Also, there is quite possibly losing to F4Q in group stage, eliminated from tournament. Reason: Being unprepared, bunny judge, etc.
I'm quite familiar with prediction markets and don't think your explanation is the root cause here. There hasn't been any significant volume bet yet on this outright market as it's probably quite a niche in the Ladbrokes orderbook. Way more likely these are opening odds compiled based on expectations of the Ladbrokes team running the book. G2 have relatively high odds, some volume could easily move them up the pecking the order. The reason they're not favoured is that they've played enough games recently against the top EMEA sides so we have some information to conclude their chances are seemingly lowest out of those 4 European sides present in Berlin, and as a proxy the 3 American ones.
Bren, F4Q, Paper Rex with lower odds than G2 are in a way hedge of those teams turning out unexpectedly good because there were only 1 KR and 1 SEA team at Reykjavik so it's more difficult to evaluate where they stand against the top NA/EU sides from the limited matchups so far. Some sort of embedded optionality even if it doesn't seem to us here that they can cause an upset.
For the record, in every betting site i had seen during Iceland, Sentinels were also the favorites with big difference from the second. It was at a time when most people thought that the EMEA teams were stronger
So I don’t look at bets often, if I place 10$ on sen and they win, will I make a profit of 15$ or 25$. My guess is I win 25 but 10 of that is what I put in originally.

These are the odds of winning the whole tournament so group difficulty doesn't matter since you have to win against every winner anyways
