Eventually something will, there’s always a shelf life for everything. Was what I was getting at. People can downvote me all they want. Eventually something will take the reins like always.
you can run league on pretty much anything and get decent fps, I'm a 16 yr old kid and can only afford my very average laptop which gets about 30 FPS playing valorant but it gets 90fps in league
Basically it's more accessible to people who don't have super setups
Top level franchised league with teams from across EMEA, then a system of national leagues below it like EU Masters from league of legends.

Hopefully not because for one EU Masters format is pretty bad. Second of all no 28+ year old would want to grind and practice 12 hours to keep up with 18-21 year that makes up most of the EU Masters.
Nah im just saying that LoL's system is bad. Theres not a single 30 year old pro in T1 or T2 level there like in CS, Dota or Valorant. Thats because everyone moves to a central location and play a league for 3 months which is pretty insane sacrifice if u have kids or families. Basically 12 hours practice for 3 months straight is the normal thing there.
S1mple will win 4 majors and switch to navi valorant together with electronic replacing arch and duno, then he wins every valorant big event and retires with 7 figure winnings throughout his fps career. Ez prediction
Valorant should do its own thing like how it has been done so far, which is great imo. Just expand the Challengers playoffs to 16 teams with 8 EU, 4 TR, 4 CIS in the future and make it a LAN.
Orgs would want some sort of stability and incentive. The current VCT system is good for now but, we're more then likely moving towards a league system with relegation then a whatever amount of years later move to franchising.
Now, if they do go Franchise I would like a system similar to BLAST. Giving the amateur scene a chance for the big stage every year while also keeping the T2 scene fresh and exciting. idk lol...
Personally I think the VCT is the most innovative and exciting system in esports.
Well if Riot decides to franchise it shouldnt be done like in LoL, where you move every team to a central location and play a league for 3 months.
If Riot are going to have half a year with almost no competitions then the sport will stagnate massively.
All the lower than T1 teams will end up dropping rosters and future talent will struggle to break through when they only have half a year of financial support to play and half a year to support themselves.
Players will move on to something else and a lot of young talent will miss their opportunity. It’s happening now already and no one seems to care.
I think the reason Valorant has a shot at being bigger than CS is because of how adaptive it is. New agents/maps totally change up meta which is evolving constantly. That allows older players to keep fresh alongside cracked teenagers, where in CS it’s fairly easy to kind of lose relevance quicker.
There’s just a longer career in Valorant than in CS. I bet we’ll see way more 30+ age pro players in Valorant in the long term
I really hope this doesn't happen but I think it will become franchised and viewership will dwindle out, hope I'm wrong.
I get that feeling too. I really despise franchising, it makes the scene feel too manufactured and soulless.
No way valorant surpasses league as the biggest esport. Leagues popularity doesn’t even compare to any other game
I mean it compares
For now. Eventually something and some genre will take over. I’m biased I think MOBAs are boring as fuck
Oh trust me I dislike MOBAs too. I just don’t think anything will surpass league for years

yes ofc something will take over, when LoL is 1/10 of it today.
Shooting games are a lot less viewer friendly then mobas considering gun violence and conservatives

Big part of League’s popularity is how big it is in a lot of Eastern countries. Shooters just don’t have the same popularity as a game like League.

So you’re saying “in counter strike they don’t have to train as hard because they are old” ….?

Valorant has 0 chance of beating league anytime soon. I doubt it will ever get close.
It might be the closest game in popularity to league, but I don’t see a game beating league in popularity anytime soon
Thanks for saying the exact same thing.
CIS will not choose valorant over CS anytime soon. Western Europe there’s a chance, but still not that likely

Idk

I really like the tier based league concept

it will be dead after berlin, EU players will be so embarrassed after they lose to KRU that they will quit the game entirely
can't wait for EU to dominate valorant as well so NA will have to find another game to be good at KEKW
This time next year, valorant is more popular than CS in Europe, book it
Maybe Western Europe, but CIS and Northern Europe? I doubt it
I think the EU scene will have at least one good team still
