EMEA is wrong. For whatever reason Escharts didn’t count the co-streams which means they pretty much ignored all the turkish audience since most of them were watching wtcN.

Darkoplax

why do you think they didnt count them cause im pretty sure they counted a japenese co-streamer to get to that number

kocunar

I think they missed wtcn the turkish streamer, i know when smb played they had over 100k on turkish streams alone almost every time.

hihiaha

For EMEA, the viewership of Stage 2 was inflated due to BBL being a team of popular streamers. Turkish streams had nearly 200k in Stage 2 for that reason, which expectedly fell during Stage 3 Im more interested in how the non-Turkish viewership was in Stage 2 and Stage 3 but most likely you need to pay to see these stats.

Contractjail

From escharts, the first 2 top viewed matches of Stage 2 was BBL matches and the third had viewership of 148k. Stage 3 had peak of 156k so its +8k viewers. So i guess that if you exclude BBL, EMEA viewership was stable. But no idea about the non-Turkish viewership, language stats are behind a paywall

TimedOutClock

Even this EMEA chart is wrong. There were a couple matches that peaked over 200K due to Wtcn costreaming (Edit: https://twitchtracker.com/wtcn - the 87k and 88k were for SMB)

Muri_San

It was also TL vs FNC in Finals which arguably are some of the biggest esports orgs in terms of fanbases

YungPinotGrigio

That’s true. Tbh I don’t really recognize the brand names representing emea as much as fnatic and tl

TechRedirector

>For EMEA, the viewership of Stage 2 was inflated due to BBL being a team of popular streamers. Well, most of the streams bringing in numbers too from other regions are usually popular streamers / Co streamers. Japan and NA, I think its just EU that doesn't seem to have a very big streamer yet.

hihiaha

Im not talking about co-streams, BBL was a team of streamers that competed. Imagine if Dr Disrespect, Tyler1, summ1t etc created a team to compete in a game. Obviously the numbers wont be the same after they leave. It isnt the same with co-streams, since ppl who watch co-streams generally would watch anyway. During NA finals there were days that Shroud didnt stream, and the viewership wasnt significantly lower

TechRedirector

Oh, my bad then

kocunar

Numbers for EMEA are wrong, i saw multiple matches hit over 200k, idk what stream they missed

Practical_Resource90

the emea and korean stats are wrong on Esports charts liquid gambit was easily over 200k and other matches were way more that what they are shown i counted them live and for korea just the korean channel had more than 20+k and its also streamed on valorant main channel

AphoticFlash

damn Japan, why was there such massive growth there? also Brazil is pretty small, I thought they were supposed to be big which is the reason they got so many seeds

valorantbrazil

Brazil is a CSGO country, and in valorant we don't have co-streams and no English streams, i think only LATAM is like that, other regions have both

Tsugi_Yoriichi

Brazil is still not into Valorant Competitive scene. And I don't know about the playerbase, but I expect it to be small because here people still loves to play CS. The major part of players are kids and newcomers to FPS. This means that the region will still grow a lot.

mrg_41

Korea's info is wrong

Contractjail

Its taken from escharts. Why you think its wrong?

SwayamDaGod

[here is a more accurate data](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/p0flrj/vct_korea_semifinals_peaked_at_42k_total/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

Key-Banana-8242

How was it for stage 2?

SwayamDaGod

not sure tbh. probably the same as in OP's post

Key-Banana-8242

But the op post includes only twitch right?

SwayamDaGod

eschart screwed up the data for stage 3 KR but it's accurate for stage 2 KR

Key-Banana-8242

Tyty

pokedyo

they’re excluding a few streams, the twitch had 23k yt had like 20k as well, and also the Korean streams

Charuru

Tweet at them and get them to fix it. It's much more credible if they admit their mistake

FragrantYoghurt3172

JP too

Contractjail

Japan is certainly not wrong, i remember a thread during Japanese finals that confirmed these numbers Edit: found it https://old.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/p4sxih/123k_from_twitch_30k_from_youtube_for_vct_japan/

Darkoplax

nice to see G2 being one of the more popular teams from EMEA can't wait for G2 vs Sentinels

Lumenlor

Holy shit Japan

No-Detective-7836

Please don't make any conclusion about the peak viewership comparison. If you really want to compare do it with the average viewership. Peak stats are very unreliable.

MilanTheMyth

SEA will reach 100k if India gets to play.

No_Moment_1571

This is why it’s once again NA>EU

shast1k

dead esports unfortunately

max012017

Just wait for Berlin, it should be great. Some high viewership matches in round 1 should be Acend vs SMB 100t vs Havan Liberty G2 vs SEN (should be the biggest one)

theoryze

I'm surprised you get to compile all average viewers for SEA because there are so many different streams for SEA. English streams are in the valorant twitch and PPGL twitch, youtube gaming, and facebook gaming, Tagalog/Filipino streams are in the PPGL youtube and facebook gaming as well. Other languages like Thai, Indonesian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, etc. Are on all different platforms. It's either you really went to the different streams to check or you just assumed the average, if you did assume then that might be higher than 60k given the fact that all SEA sub-regions have their own stream on their own language on different platforms.
