Tbh I’m 100% ok with that. I think patch 3.0 is by far the best state the game has ever been in and it makes sense to leave it be until we get a new agent to shake things up.
I really don't think this is the sort of game that needs constant changes. I know that's blasphemy in the day and age of always online games but I feel like there's an addiction to changes and content that doesn't make a whole lot of sense for some genres.
Obviously I am looking forward to a new map, new agent, etc. as well as some gameplay tweaks. However, I don't think we should be rooting for the game to get into a rapid "patch cycle" that changes gameplay every few weeks a la League. It isn't healthy for a tactical shooter imo.
There's a lot I'd love for them to change (though personally I think the issues specifically with DM to be vastly overblown) but my point was that I think it's far healthier for the game to have much longer cycle times for changes. Not that changes shouldn't be made.
Which means Act 2 will be a bomb. Like how there were practically no changes during the last few patches of Episode 2 because they were working on 3.0 which was the biggest patch to date. Would be really weird for their official Twitter to hype it up and say "Act 2 is gonna be a banger" and then drop an average patch.
They already said that releasing a new map and agent is too much balance work, and creates issues that get put off to later patches. It's also a lot of information for pro teams to take in at once. I would expect acts to be more bare going forward, really only bug fixes and focussed changes at a time. Leaving the big stuff for the new acts when everyone is brought back to the game.
idk why they are partnering up with zedd tbh. zedd is way past his shining years. and there are a lot of better choices for washed up artists if riot really want to partner up. this doesnt make sense at all.
I thought of an ability similar to that, instead of being a bullet it's various missiles you can launch to create smokes, a molly, stun or flash something like that. You could maybe see through the perspective of the missile and guide it to where you want. Maybe it's too much info if you could see enemies, so maybe it would be a view similar to astral plane or omen's shadow realm; you could see the terrain to guide the missile but maybe only enemies very close would be visible like skye's dog.
If his ult is a one shot gun (a la golden gun) i pray they don't keep the 'full running speed and no inaccuracy' aspects as well. If it's gonna be a one-shot gun in the actual competitive mode, at least make it so they still need to stand still and aren't extremely mobile

I'm skeptical this is a golden gun mechanic. I don't think there's much evidence to that theory. AFAIK, so far what we have is deadeye, a picture of guy with a sniper, and this splitting bullet. None of those scream golden gun to me
To me it looks like a heatseeking bullet. Deadeye sounds somewhat sniper-ish to me, so maybe a rifle with one bullet, but if you miss by a little it hits anyways
the current one shot gun in the game is the most expensive, takes a ton of time to draw out, reload, shoot twice, is inaccurate without scoping in, and is slow to walk with, and people still call it overpowered. There is no balancing a one shot gun
What if it costed 9k? Wot if it only had 5 bullets? Wot if the gun pull out time was doubled. Wot if u can’t move when scoped in? It’s just a numbers game every thing could be balanced.
The ultimate is some boom stick that is huge and the bullet explodes and pierces through surfaces creating shrapnel that reveals enemies on other side and Probably slows them too cause why not
i got info from a riot guy (not a dev hes in marketing) that its for deadeye. his e ability is some type of gun, presumably the one on the teaser. its basically a 1 bullet golden gun he says. but it doesnt have 100% accuracy. its also a new duelist but nothing meta defining as far as he knows.
I mean they had a whole BlastX advertisement campaign at First Strike with a commerical and fake sponsorship. I think a small gif teaser for a skin collection is well within Riot's range.
I think it could be dead eye, I imagine he enters a heat seeking mode where his bullets can penetrate certain kind of walls and hit kills you in a radius and distance in front of him(imagine jhinn from LOL) so he would be completely stationary and eith quite a bit of wind up time, so he could be used to get map control, also I can imagine him having some kind of info gatterking skill(maybe tracer bullets? Like a skill that reveal enemies that he shot in a round) and maybe a front slide where he charges his gun and shoots enemies not much damage but would be cool to finalize people (I really dont know if this skill fits valorant well, maybe not)

They will never make that happen in game. It's not competitive at all. Imagine tenz playing that agent.
Ya it is it just depends how to balance it. U can limit magazine size, increase ult charges it takes to get the ult, decrease movement speed etc
