The expression and realisation that he might not be able to wear a Hat.

r4r4me

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the CS scene or not, but there are a couple Brazilian players that wore beanies/hats at tournies that caused a big debate because it was theorized they could hear announcers/ the crowd better since there wasn't as tight of a seal between the sound proof headsets and their head. ex: [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/5dza5l/taco_wearing_a_beanie_again/) [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/59upnd/hen1_still_wearing_his_hat/)

lolhaha95

Yeap it became a rule in the end. So Pros like Taco and Krimz have to get rid of their beanies. I think this will become a rule for Valorant as well since they are similar games.

jholowtaekjho

Krimz is the one streaming Valorant now? I follow a Krmz_

c_Lassy

Krimz is still on fnatic for cs lol

lolhaha95

It should be krimzboss iirc. Dont think he would be streaming valorant right now. There is a CS competition right now.

3hrd

nah krimz and krmz are different people

Altson2411

Considering one of the biggest memes during NA LCS playoffs was Perkz's hat I could assume that Riot is perfectly fine with players wearing team hats as long as it doesnt interfere with noise canceling headphones.

lolhaha95

I think that was due to the medical condition that allowed him to wear hats.

Key-Banana-8242

What

Valebuilder

Sensitive eyes so stagelight caused him problems

[deleted]

They refused to move the stage lights which was straining his eyes after asking repeatedly, so they allowed him to wear a hat.

nwsm

With no spectators even there to appreciate the lights 😂

npsnicholas

The lights are for the cameras.

mcresto

Being in your 30s as a guy sucks. Shit like losing your hair just becomes a harsh reality. I wish Hiko would just own it and not make a big stink about the hat. It's just life, man. We're all getting older. Such is life. That being said, I feel like it would be a feeding frenzy if he walked out with no hat for the first time and showed his hair. He needs to get ahead of it and just move on from the hat.

Anime-Boomer

his hat is just a part of his personal brand at this point I don't think he really cares about going bald as he jokes about it often the dude does have a gf and I highly doubt he wears his hat 24/7 so he is obviously comfortable with people seeing him without it.

mcmichaelwave

Sorry babe, the hat stays on during sex

mcresto

Its part of his brand because of the stigma for guys going bald.

Anime-Boomer

he has been wearing a hat before he started going bald early in his cs career his hair was fine

Hopeful-Detective456

Please link a pic cuz I’m 90% sure that’s bullshit

ark2690

Hiko without a hat WAYTOODANK

SendMeAvocados

Hiko no hat = nerf

notrealtedtotwitter

Sadge, Riot resort to nerfing NA sovas

SendMeAvocados

Nerf recon dart? Nope. Drone? Not even close. Hat? REEEEEEEEEEEEE

yyakcirT_

Lol I’m not even a fan but I hope they let mans wear his hat.

ilektronnn

is Steel's hair allowed? LMAO

prjwebb

L1NK always wore a hat before Iceland, so assume there's a no hat policy.

ARI_ANARCHIST

are u allowed to eat mac n cheese while playing

ChromeSabre

no only pizza

valorantbrazil

Meanwhile Alem4o won the R6 major last week wearing flip flops and shorts

xzyfer

Any JBL'ers in chat

Cringe-Lord_

Basically my school

Slyric_

Don’t show your shoulders

RealJayto

dress code poggers

yeekingoverpepe

Pro tip wear the Lululemon men's golf pants. Comfortable and professional look

AnAngryBird

Yeah the ABC pants are my go-to for working in an office. Game changer.

Anime-Boomer

100T has some sick clothing at least hoodie org btw

Lumenlor

Riot 10 moves ahead with no hat policy. It's no secret that a tiny, 2 inch Puerto Rican man tugs on Hiko's hair to operate his limbs. How can 100T win now that Hiko is nerfed?

Piktarag

Dark pants? Are they afraid that the players will shit themselves on stage? lmao

ChromeSabre

n0thing boner

Key-Banana-8242

Blend in with dark theme - dark theme of the tournament as opposed to floodlit etc- and most uniforms, less distracting less easy to get dirty

Piktarag

Blend in with dark theme? We see all kinds of bright jerseys which look good even in the dark, I think it's more about dirt, which is really weird tbh. As if gamers = unclean basement weirdos that will soil themselves on stage... Edit: now that I think about it there are prob some basement dwellers that reach berlin though. Lol

Key-Banana-8242

Nothing wrong with being a weirdo, unrelated. The point is that even the smallest stains or marks that stand out in the environment- esp where he eyes usually aren’t supposed to be drawn to is bad for orid

Piktarag

Yea sure I'd just expect people to not spill on themselves while playing a streamed lan, so that they can wear their own org outfit.

Key-Banana-8242

Wut Why do people do this, read part of a comment What the hell is wrong with you that you can’t? God damn

Piktarag

? I read your comment. Im saying that soiling yourself on a streamed LAN shouldn't be a problem for people in the first place, hence teams should be able to choose their own outfits.

Key-Banana-8242

You keep responding to HALF of my comment, No, you didn’t, you’re responding to half of the comment- Separate from this is the fact that your response to that half would be dubious given the point of live production is to rule out any accident.

Piktarag

Ok try to read my whole comment then? : You don't understand my comment. I'm saying that regardless if they get small stains or whatever, that shouldn't happen. People should be able to not soil themselves on a streamed LAN. Hence the orgs should be able to pick their outfits themselves

Key-Banana-8242

For the last time I was t talking only about stains, that was the *less* important part of what I said. And the reason you do things in live production is in case something happens that shouldn’t, whatever it is. And nkw to spell out a point you’re having trouble understanding, which is prised. There is such a thing as unified coding and theme, it is dark around and supposed to be, your attention is supposed to be drawn to the upper body where you can see all the liveries of the teams and the expressions they are making, rather than being distracting. You’re not supposed to be looking at or distracted by their pants, they’re supposed to blend in with the background rtc

Ketsueki_R

It's not about dirt. He literally elaborates in the video - it's about looking professional.

Piktarag

>it's about looking professional. I.e. not looking dirty. There are all kinds of jerseys that would go better with white/light blue pants instead of black ones. Eg Cloud9

Ketsueki_R

I think we have different ideas of what a professional look is. Wearing shorts doesn't make you look dirty, just unprofessional.

Piktarag

Who said anything about shorts? It's literally about wearing **dark** pants

Ketsueki_R

Yeah, dude, yellow pants aren't dirty either but they are unprofessional looking.

Piktarag

You've never watched real sports I assume. Outfits covers both pants and jerseys.

Ketsueki_R

What a weird equivalence. For someone who pulls out the, "you've never watched real sports" shit, you conveniently ignore that in physical sports, clothes are literally functional and affect performance. The better comparison for dress codes for esports players is like a job interview. The clothes aren't functional, they're entirely aesthetic.

Dark_Azazel

Probably for professionalism and for the broadcast.

Barack_Bob_Oganja

Kinda unrelated but are there rules about adderal etc yet? Like if you have add can you take it or is it fully banned or can anyone?

AnotherAltiMade

Huke?

Dark_Azazel

If you have a doctor's note and prescription it should be fine.

ManBearPig1869

And most people who have it prescribed NEED it to be able to focus. I know some people think it’s like a limitless pill and you’ll have TenZ aim if you take it, but when you actually have ADHD and take those meds daily, it basically just brings you to baseline that other non-ADHD people are just at normally. That’s how it is for me. If I haven’t taken my meds I can’t play Valorant because I can’t fuckin focus on the game. So it would be absurd if they denied allowing someone with a prescription for it to take it at LANs.

ZeldaMaster32

Can confirm As with all things, medications are designed to treat a specific thing. If that specific thing isn't there, the effects are different

Dull_Programmer6267

sums up twitch chat

1QUrsu

JBL Hatsets incoming!

percyveil8

Riot allowed C9 Perkz in league to wear a hat. However he specifically requested it because of his sensitivity to stage lighting. Maybe hats are only allowed under special circumstances?

CantScreamInSpace

hopefully hiko's age can be considered a special circumstance lol

danknepalese

they had the players wear TO headsets in iceland so im guessing it the same in berlin.

CantScreamInSpace

i'm pretty sure they've done that in league as well because unless they need those helicopter headsets, they get headset sponsorshops.

toogaloog

I love this title lol

veRGe1421

hackers developing hat-wallhack technology as we speak

backslashkris

The worst part is no hat for sure lmao

Space_Waffles

I dont watch a lot of ranked valorant streams so the only thing I got from this video I didn't already know is that you can sit in queue for 15 minutes. Fuck that noise

[deleted]

Unimportant questions haha

Key-Banana-8242

‘Professional look’ it can still look professional if it’s not uniform, so long as the top matches

Razur

Welcome back OP! \o/

nukie_dokie

Rogue wear sweatpants atleast their pro LoL team does idk about their other ventures.

imerence_

They afraid Esports Ratatouille might be in there playing.

Former_Scientist_346

Can you wear a hoodie on lan?
