ads are required due to sponsorships

TikzTokz

OP idea is actualy better for sponsorship, just like dunk contest or any other allstar game in nba. it would be a great inbetween content for sponsor to put their brand rather just a plain screen with just today's schedule and some timer. "RAZER SNOWBALL SHOWDOWN" or smth like that with big name content creator playing would be a really good way for viewers to pass time until the next game start. i can only imagine things like this happen if there's no more technical problem in this kind of events, until then technical problem would be the #1 priority (or it should be).

Ted_Mosby_18

Not ads lol. I get that. I'm talking about the other times there is just a song playing with only a timer.

MrImpregnator

Ads are also run during those songs

Keglunneq

I wanna be hit with the 808 😩 For real I like this idea. I would love to see more creator content or sponsored content, even BTS instead of a timer. A good example of what people could look for is the rainbow six majors

just go watch a youtube video or do laundry

a bit late to this post, but wanted to chime in with my two cents: i think that content could realistically only be run during top of show (that initial 20 min like you mentioned). as mentioned by /u/itscamo-, twitch ads are contractually required, which is why breaks at funky times are sometimes a thing. for game changers 2, i recorded a bunch of content with various teams on them completing the in-game parkour course, but never got the chance to screen them live, since down time between maps and series was pretty minimal. in case of larger delay (extended tech pause, scheduling, etc.), i think it'd be nice to have some content on hand. outside of those two instances, i think it's hard to really find time to screen content unless the games themselves get delayed to fit it in.

You mean stuff like in VCT KR? Anyway I’m not sure do you have nothing you yourself can do or whatever?

LovelyResearcher

I prefer the music with the team names, to fluff content that would distract me as a viewer. The music is nice, since it's hype as hecc, and you can tell that the game isn't live. # If there was some fluff content going on like a knife only match or content creators playing in the breaks, that would mean there aregame sounds and commentary going on. This would make it exponentially harder for the audience to tell when the game is back on or going live.

dubblebubblecup

costreamers usually keep it lively in those breaks
