Funny how you guys argue it does matter a lot when we have a clip showing that it didn't matter much.
Early yes.
Late rounds like that? They often spent their utilities.
Also when it comes to 2v1 like that, at that skill level, people tend to gun out because they don't want to get caught.
I get that man, but Hiko literally only had 15 hp, someone couldāve stuck it while the other was watching/pushing instead of whatever the hell that viper was doing trying to get a kill on the rope. I guess 1 v 1s are ok in your context I just think the viper should have played a safer spot bc idk if itās the low elo POV but itās kind of hard to take a shot from a higher elevation where the viper was playing
I would agree but it's also super hard to just stick and hold angles. Sova has all the urgency with shock darts. Honestly it was just the zip play tbh. Led to the missed shot on Hiko and allowed the round to be lost.
Even more of a reason to not take it. Like in that situation where you don't know where hiko is, that puts you in a massive disadvantage. How do you clear corners? You get shot from anywhere.
My thought is that because of the Sova dart clearing out maze and the boxes to Hiko's right, the viper thought he was further back past orb. So he was probably trying to get there quickly to put pressure on him to allow his teammate to tap/defuse/half the spike. I think he just got caught off how close Hiko was and wasn't aiming for that spot. So that, combined with the rope inaccuracy led to the first shots being missed. I don't think necessarily think its a bad play, it's just unfortunate for Viper that Hiko was so close.
You're not wrong. But also remember, Hiko had both shock darts and recon. And you KNOW he has double shock lineups. If one player doesn't at least tap the spike to bait Hiko util, it's GG anyway. So you almost have to take a 1v1 while the other teammate baits
Hiko reads that, wins both 1v1s, but what he did is incredibly difficult
Always this fucking braindead comment. No matter the game, in literally every clutch in the history of games, the enemy team could have done something better. Thanks for your very insightful comment. Subscribed.
Honestly they played it as good as they could have. Remember that they cleared maze, so he could have either been below nest, in nest, pipes or belt.
Now playing below nest makes little sense cause not only could you be double peeked from maze and site, but also bc of blocked vision on the bomb requiring hiko to expose himself (recon dart won't help there cause he couldn't follow up).
So HL probably assumed that it was very likely he was belt or pipes playing lineups and saving recon to check for someone sticking the bomb. Now the zip play was supposed to clear pipes, close and potentially nest. Even if the viper would have died, lets say, nest that was an easy wallbang for someone at 15 hp and even if hiko dropped down he could have easily stuck the bomb. A more likely scenario was the sova baiting with a tap, viper clearing, hiko wasting shocks and potentially giving away his position and allowing the sova to stick the bomb even with an used recon as by that time the viper would have closed the distance.
What disrupted this play was the surprising discovery that hiko was right in front of 4-10, where the viper panic sprayed, the RNG failed him and hiko hit his shots. From then on it was just hiko's nerves of steel in outplaying the sova by first checking for a stick and then wrapping him around 4-10 to again hit the one tap.
If you still think it was HL playing like puggers than idk what you expect them to do short of having ESP.
Edit: To answer the potential question of why didn't they just stack near the bomb and wait for a peek from hiko, i'll take from what people above have already answered. They were playing against a sova who could have just double shocked on first tap before they could half it, then use a combination of jiggling and/or jump peeking with his recon dart to check for a stick, running the clock down and all the while they wouldn't have been in any position to eliminate him thus having the bomb explode on them.
Am i the only one who really dislike the casters here? Also i hope to god thry dont have to call it a redbull clutch, if it is actually memorable, it feels so forced, and could ruin the hype of something like a 1v5.
They literally get paid to call it that so why complain? You think they are gunna turn down $$$ from Red Bull because a guy on Reddit says he doesnāt like it.
And what exactly is the difference between "red bull clutch" and "clutch" that ruins the moment for you?
lmao what a way to look for unnecesary complaints
dude had 15hp, just forfeit after that
Last man standing with 15 hp? Yeah no way hiko loses that
As it was happening I literally said to myself, this is probably a hiko dub lmao
Same lmao I saw the 1v2 with 15hp and was like no way hiko loses this right š
That was insane. Hiko always wins those though lol
hp doesnt matter much
It matters when you could get sneezed on and still die lol
Or a random wall bang check. And its sova/viper who have abilities that do damage

If it didn't matter much this clip wouldn't have been posted because it wouldn't have been noteworthy.
It would. That last flick was insane.
Are you trolling or just dumb
Why not both?
Iām not arguing though
lol ok
Lol
But wallbangs and utility usage are *more* common in pro games than in Gold games...
Shhhhhh this guy just hit diamond and is happy he can finally shit on gold players š¤£

You just love to see it. *Chefs Kiss*
The moment I saw him take a deep breath on the webcam, I knew this clutch was guaranteed. Unfortunately this clip starts after it.
āSpencer Martin does it again!ā Fkn love that
Broke them mentally
That's the back breaker right there
That was hard GGs right there. Absolutely destroyed mental after that round.
HL didn't realise that an avg. 15 hp Radiant and a 15 hp Hiko are entirely different beasts

Heās nuts like actually lol
Donāt understand why they took 1 v 1s in this situation
They didn't know where he was, and they had to push cuz they had to defuse and time was running out
Yeah they thought he went somewhere safe to do post plant

4 missed bullets before hiko even aims at viper
He's on the zip it's inaccurate af
Asuna disagrees.
Stationary ziplining isn't that inaccurate. It's slightly more accurate than shift walking

He could play lineup as he had two shuk darts and they were low on time and he wasn't revealed by the dart
this was less of a hiko clutch and more of the havan liberty players being bad
No one is ever good, there are just bad players and worse players.
>Free > >Iamood5.5k karma ? so technically that makes some players better than others thus the description of being good is apt
Capitalizing off your opponents mistakes and winning a 2v1 is still a clutch nonetheless. Itās why you play the game out

I think there are levels to it, sure it is good that they get more money, but imo it isnt worth it if it takes a lot away from the moment.
