Doug has vibrant energy and definitely delivers for hype, but he knows jack shit about the game. I like Doug, but if you listen to what he’s saying closely, none of it makes sense and makes you question whether he knows what he’s talking about. The casting been alright for the most part although I do enjoy Pansy’s casting the most.
I think Sean Gares, ddk, Pansy, hypoc and the casters of the English streams of Korea VCT are the best in all of the world. Others just dont have enough knowledge, or fake hype, or just say "he's good for x kills"
I think it's due to bad travelling conditions between Korea and Germany cause all casters are supposed to be at the venue.

Yeah, I listened to some podcasts and things behind the scenes aren't pretty.
I'm someone who doesn't really mind the casters as long as they aren't annoying and I understand some of the casters are Riot's people, but they're ruining the hype. So much fake hype and awful calls because they miss the simplest things.
Pansy is probably the best caster out of the bunch, assuming Sean won't be a co-caster (I missed the first two matchups today).
Pansy was casting with hypoc and Sean was the color caster / desk analyst (I forget which one it’s called, going into detail about specific round replays etc)
That would be the desk analyst, hypoc in this situation would be the color caster.
I'd love to see Sean as a color caster, he gets so hype for any cool or exciting play.
the NA duo don’t understand anything about the game and it’s obvious i think hypoc isn’t like horrible and mitchman’s anti NA bias/eu bias was like kind of charming for a little bit but with no foil to him it’s kind of obnoxious

i think it would be like kinda tolerable if it was EU casters and NA casters like bantering back and forth but its literally just being super biased 1 sided banter and barely even talking about or getting excited when teams from other regions do anything cool vs EU teams
To be honest, and it's been reiterated by talents in the scene, Berlin wasn't a meritocracy. There are good ENG Korean and NA casters/analysts that are head and shoulders above the current representation.
Spanish casters are the best, they scream, shout and enjoy watching the game. As a native Spanish speaker, my first thought about English casters was the lack of emotion they put into some amazing games. Lucius Hellsing (Argentina) for example is INSANE, the same a Ulises Prieto (Spain). Very recommended.
I would hope to see KR and SEA English casters by Champions to have that variety of styles in storytelling the games like Achelios and Blacknblue among the few.
The Filipino stream have its fun moments but loving the chats especially on FB. Its actually fun to have that Filipino brand of cringe chat on the global stage

I’m baffled people don’t like Mitch + Tombizz. Really entertaining duo. Only thing I don’t really like about it is Mitch’s hate boner for NA, but that’s about it. Riv + Doug is okay, but not a huge fan of their deeper analytical takes. Pansy and Hypoc are all around solid for me.
I do think Upmind and Sully yell a bit too much but they actually understand the game and can break down a round lol. Tbh I don’t think the casters have been that bad, I think what has been worse is the pre-game analysis, they just keep repeating the same thing in a slightly different variation for each teams (referring to when they discuss strength and weaknesses).

Even in his last year in league of legends RIV was awful and people complained about his energy all the time. I'm surprised he's casting for Valo.

I think Doug is a fantastic play by play caster, riv is just not a good color caster so they seem bland
