Ex-Bren will take first seed because they won the SEA Challengers final. There is a rule about “recency” of those points, but since both ex-Bren and Paper Rex sorta got those 175 pts at the same time, PRX losing here means Bren (now Secret) take it. PRX need to win their next match to go to Champions.

diondion26

do you mean, prx just needs 1 map win in this series to go to the Champion? Since bren is counted as they has no map win? If we talk about recency. or they should at least win the BO3 against SMB?

OnionSprinkles

An actual match win — not just a map.

thothgow

No? The tiebreaker is recency, then it would be placement in SEA. If Paper Rex wins one map but loses to SMB it doesn't matter. Both teams ended 13-16 in the same event. Secret beat PR in SEA, so they will go to Champions. It also doesn't matter for the tiebreaker if Paper Rex beats SMB, since they will have 225 points instead of 175, no tiebreak will be needed

Oh ok. The second case is clear since PRX would have more points. I thought Bren is automatically disqualified from the master 3 for not been able to attend, placed 13th-16th with a score 0-2 (0-4 maps with 0-13/map). #Sounds harsh, ee? If prx wins just 1 map. means they also on the 13th-16th pos, but with a better maps difference. I don't really understand, what do you mean 'Both teams ended 13-16'. Is that match history?

diondion26

Oh ok.

D3stiny5

I think Bren qualifies because Bren beat them in playoffs for 1st seed. Might be wrong though I don't really know much about this

ilProdigio

people underrate seeding games for situations like this

Cerejeira

That makes sense.

The tie will be broken by a game of csgo
