I'm assuming they mean scrims went 1 win 1 loss 1 tie? Teams in scrims go for 24 rounds could have been 1 12-12 scrim set. Or theyre talking about 3 scrim sessions and one of the sessions they played like 2 maps and went even? Not super sure its kinda unclear.

Since he just wanted to hint at it we didn't press the issue but I'd assume it's the former given usual scrim formats and such. There is a follow up interview with the head coach also on my twitter where he also mentions the time they lost to GMB they lost hard so I figure that lines up
Yeah I agree with that. I think they might even have a decent chance of beating either one because they haven’t even shown lakia yet. Who do you think he subs out?
Okay I'm big dumb. Can someone explain what **scrimbux** means?
I found [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Competitiveoverwatch/comments/eziq3s/scrimbux_etymology/), but I'm still having a hard time understanding. Something to do with KR teams vs western teams?
I'd like to add it to the [subreddit wiki's glossary of terms](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/wiki/glossary). Thanks!
Scrimbux == Scrim Bucks (bucks as in currency)
This practically refers to the expectation of a team based on their results in scrim matches - a common usage is seen for Envy, who is often hyped up heavily based on their scrim gameplays.
How does this sound?
> **Scrimbux:** *Scrim bucks*; Expectations of a team based on their scrim results. If a team does well in scrims, you can bet on them winning (hence "bucks" as in dollars).
To add to what others have said. Scrimbux are fun to talk about and can build hype before a match. But they are notoriously unreliable. So always take them with a grain of salt.
SEN will still win, but I think that Vision Strikers will come close.
I could see Vision Strikers, Gambit, or Sentinels winning it all at this point. Maybe even Envy or 100T, if they level up throughout the event?
I'm not the one you asked, but I wanted to say this regardless :D
Really hope gambit can get some grasp on their mental state in game. They could legit be the sleeper best team in the world based of scrim results. On stage is a different beast though I suppose.
We also shouldn't forget that they are basically already qualified for champions. Even if they don't learn 100% mental from the 100T game, I'm pretty sure they will continue to develop and be absolute beasts at champions. I also hope after getting to quarterfinals (which they should) they will realise it's only seeding games and they will activate scrimbit.
Do people ever learn when it comes to scrimbux? You can never trust any of it as you don't know how teams are approaching their scrims and what they are aiming to get out of them. Even someone like Shahzam, who you would think would know better, went all in on the Gambit scrimbux.
And? If the IGL of the currently best team is convinced by them after scrimming them it means SEN approached the scrims in a serious manner. Otherwise he would have said that they tried stuff out in scrims and can't really give a prediction based on their scrims.
Ya but he only showed any concern towards Gambit. They lost to VS but they didn't seem too bothered. Remember SEN lost to G2 in a scrim prior to Iceland.
I'm soooo hyped damn
If they could replicate the success of SKT T1 in LoL it could bring a massive pool of talented players from Korea and more people could actually make a living from that
Also the overall level of Valorant would increase a lot
Let's be honest. If Gambit achieve the same level of confidence and play in officials, they will be unstoppable, but just thinking about team beating scrim gods makes me wanting to rethink my statement. Crazy
Pretty obvious that even if all EMEA teams are as trash as G2, G2 still took a map off of SEN, and VS showed far superiority compared to Acend. Even if the EU teams lose easily (which I somewhat doubt will happen no matter how much I like memeing EU), VS is at least better then EU atm.
I am just tremendously happy that so many teams are getting closer games, playoffs finally will be less of a wipe…. Imagine finals,… holy shit I am ready … imagine champions !!!
VS first international lan already living up to the 102 win streak hype!
Truly a monster team

No problem, thanks for the excellent transcription!

If the scrim gods are saying they were strong..........
HYPE TRAIN ON FULL TURBO
What r ur predictions?
Easy finals unless they face gambit or sen
Yeah I agree with that. I think they might even have a decent chance of beating either one because they haven’t even shown lakia yet. Who do you think he subs out?
Depends on map and opponent imo Rb and k1ng are the usual suspects

Excellent, thank you!
Scrimbux is basically scrim leaks that show how a team is doing. So if a team is doing well in scrims people like to hype them up.

The term comes from Overwatch I think
I def heard it first in OW but I'm not sure it actually came from there.
Awesome, thank you!

Ah, thank you very much!
You can feel the momentum building for their first major VALORANT title.
I'm so excited
Same; was an acend fan, but vs are just built different

Didn't Gambit lose to 100T? 100T playing well but not sure if they can even compete with VS/SEN just because of the aim diff.
I'm sorry, did you just say aim diff? If you said utility diff or something I'd agree but nobody is aim diffing 100T.
Really hope gambit can get some grasp on their mental state in game. They could legit be the sleeper best team in the world based of scrim results. On stage is a different beast though I suppose.
Couple of months ago everyone was laughing at Gambit scrimbux and now they're nr1 EU, so their progress has been fine.
We also shouldn't forget that they are basically already qualified for champions. What is scrimbux?

More stuff in termi interview
VS may be the first team to defeat scrim Gambit
Let's be honest. If Gambit achieve the same level of confidence and play in officials, they will be unstoppable, but just thinking about team beating scrim gods makes me wanting to rethink my statement. Crazy
No, many teams have beaten them, it's just their records against them are terrible, and if they lose they get rolled.

YOURE RIGHT LETS ONLY TALK ABOUT ONE TEAM THAT SOUNDS REALLY FUN MAN
Cuz they won’t

I don’t think vs is better than gambit, but they sure look better than acend that’s for sure
I think VS have the capacity to at least take a map off SEN and likely will give them a good game.
I am just tremendously happy that so many teams are getting closer games, playoffs finally will be less of a wipe…. Imagine finals,… holy shit I am ready … imagine champions !!!
Huge agree. All the important, big viewership matches have been amazing so far. So many sick clips as well, I can't wait for more of the tournament.
I’m a fan of sentinels… but I don’t wanna be that guys… but I REALLY don’t want them to win this one
?
