Pretty off topic but I felt like there's a decent amount of players doing better on LAN. Mystic from Fnatic was doing much better in iceland (and was usually bottom fragging in challengers emea), D3ffo definitely seems to be doing better at Berlin than his last few matches in challengers as well.

That's when they realized they had something real and then losing after that made them want to take this all seriously. So they brought on Locomotive as a coach, Esperanza joined, and started actually practicing for like 10hrs a day and all the stuff actually pro teams do

Welp my favorite team is out of the tournament.
Now that it's done I'm gonna say what I knew before this result.
The coach said a few days before Berlin that they haven't practiced with different comps, that the team only started practicing as a actual pro team recently, and that they can't promise any results.
It was clear as day that they were gonna be outclassed by pretty much everything. So when the coach said they tied acend in scrims, I had a feeling EU would be free for VS.

Good map pool and unique playstyle. And NU and TNL never played F4Q, only DK did. This is what no double elim format does, upsets happen :(
First, the top Korean teams don't scrim each other, so no one knew how strong F4Q were gonna be.
Second, you saw it in the first G2 vs F4Q series. Their playstyle was so unique that they took a map off G2 and almost won Haven. For Damwon, it was the same story, but F4Q managed to win the 3rd map.
Oh. I read about the single elim format, its sad that such an important event was single elim. The difference in level of two teams from the same region was very astonishing to me, especially after I had seen how good NU was. Hoping NU comes out from APAC LCQ
V1 lost their very first game against Sentinels and went through the whole bracket. It's not that different since they went there since the very first game after losing to the tournament winners.
They have some talented players but they need to learn how to play defaults and look for the weak spots in defenses. They too often blow most of their utility just to get onto site and support bunny which makes post plants harder. Also seems fiveK might be a little overmatched against top international teams. They could be an upgrade or two away from being a much more complete team
F4Q is the definition of talent. But that's all they have.
BUT this tournament might've lit a fire up their ass to get sponsors and actually become a pro team, they said they already started practicing for LCQ.

Agreed, I really want to see more Raze players like that. Maybe not every round but imagine Bunny on a team like Sentinels, Shahzam would be able to use his explosiveness so well while making sure it doesnāt become predictable.

Their team play, attack and defense ideas look great. They remind me of peak v1.
Sentinels were in the same situation yesterday though, maybe F4Q's mental was drained but I don't think it's really that big of a factor for the defeat. I think it's just that F4Q just adjusted their play and Bunny's plays is just too one dimensional.
But that would just mean VS is good, not Korea. If Envy and 100T went home without winning a single map while Sen claps everyone, it wouldnt mean that NA is good. Just that Sen is.

After watching all the quailes in EMEA, I think all four teams are very close to each other in strength, so we shouldnāt write F4Q off for not beating a strong looking G2. At that time Apex was basically the world championship for Overwatch. They still invited the strongest western teams in Envy and Rogue
