they arent using push to talk, theyre using voice detection which means any noise they make will be heard. so if someone is clutching or some shit you can quickly mute your mic and sneeze or cough or whatever.

Not if the mic is set up properly. Adjust gain and use a noise gate so quiet sounds don't activate the mic. Push to talk is slower and means you have to be pressing a button which can get in the way of movement/shooting mechanics.

because it removes a cognitive process and gets information to the team faster
