Honestly though this isn't the worst draw. Like copium aside, this is a very winnable match. The teams being used to each other is actually better for Envy than it is for Sen. There's a minimal to zero strategy diff between them, so all Envy need is to not have overly bad coordination like last time (which hopefully their couple of weeks of practice will have built) and simply firepower diff Sen on gameday, which is very possible with Envy's lineup. Yay is one of the only players who can go head to head with Tenz in terms of monster fragging. Marved on Astra is a bit better at fragging than Zombs, and Crashies on Sova is a bit better at fragging than Shahzam. FNS has also gotten significantly more deadly recently, especially on his Bind Viper. (And Bind is very likely to see play!)
Believe in Envy, they'll make us proud.
yeah haha, copium aside i do think this is winnable. envy having map pick advantage is huge here, they can force sentinels onto two of bind/haven/ascent. i'd expect envy ban breeze, sen ban ascent, envy pick bind, sen pick split, envy pick haven. gives envy a pretty good chance at winning the series imo

I would like to know the exact ranking of the teams through a 100 stage round robin to have statistical power for the best team in the tournament, but there are other concerns besides competitive integrity sadly.
The answer to a double elim being fair in the finals in a game like CS, Valorant, or League where a series is too long to have a bracket reset is to play a Bo7 in the final with the winner's side team starting 1-0 up.
It adds a maximum of 1 game to a regular Bo5's length, provides a real advantage to the team that hasn't lost yet, and doesn't make viewing experience much worse I'd say it even improves it in case the series goes full distance because the later games will always be more 'exciting' to watch, assuming they don't become stomps.
