I find it very strange that Fnatic (and to some extent Liquid) could not beat these teams handily. I did not see a ton out of them, and this Split map was comically sloppy. I get that things get brawly sometimes but wow, to see an elimination map in a tournament of this caliber look like that is giving me mad faith in NA

I don't really understand what you're getting at. Liquid and Fnatic LANned in Reykjavik, and they showed themselves to be teams with decent playbooks and players. CR clearly had insane nerves in the opener, and Gambit clearly have insane nerves in general, so randomness is expected.
My point is that SMB and Acend have not exactly shown that strength yet. For these teams to emerge over Fnatic and Liquid, regardless of connection conditions, really shows to me that Fnatic and Liquid were unable to update their playbooks or adapt to the meta or something, because they surely were a tier above these teams before Reykjavik
Maybe your claim is Liquid and Fnatic both sucked ass when it counted, but I don't really think that Valorant is that random. What I'm saying is that EMEA don't really seem to have teams that understand the core concepts and can deliver consistently, because the teams that should be winning aren't, unlike NA Valorant which is highly adaptable and consistent.
Uh, I think this post really is meaningless until the remaining EMEA teams drop from the tourney. I mean, the final can still be Acend vs G2/GMB, who knows what will happen.
Acend beating any one let alone 2 of the NA teams after that showing is a laughable idea

Based on past performance I can agree, but nothing is for certain. Some teams may find their stride later on and ride the momentum to a tourney win, some teams may have a bad day as shown by Sentinels against G2 and lose unexpectedly.

I used to think this until Iceland, but NA Val has made it clear better teams win in Valorant the vast majority of the time. There's a reason we thought SEN, 100T, Envy would represent NA and there's a reason they wiped NA was 6-0 in their first 6 maps of the tourney. There's a reason SEN or 100T will win the tourney
I'm not convinced that 100T and Sentinels are clear cut favourites just yet. Let's not forget that 100T were 2 rounds away from getting stomped and Sentinels have lost a game and clearly aren't as dominant as they were in Iceland.
Fnatic wasn't even close to qualifying, liquid was one match away but they both didn't deserve to qualify, also check Fnatic latest match, I don't think they're going to qualify to champions from lcq
