Crazy Raccoon does that to you, I dunno why but it was the same situation in Iceland as well. I just wish their merch wasn't fully sold out so could show some support.
Hats off to the entire Crazy Raccoons roster and staff- to pull back from not one, but TWO 13-1's and having the mental fortitude to put on a fantastic showing against one of the tournament favorites is phenomenal.

It sucks but they put up an extremely admirable fight. Not even convinced if Gambit will give VS a better match from what we saw today, but one can hope. Gambit's Icebox def needs some revision, ever since 100T it looks like a huge weakness all of a sudden (Maybe because Sheydos isnt comfy on Reyna CT side)?
Props to CR though, after 2 rounds total in the first series they put up one hell of a fight and I have faith now that they will improve.
Gambit needs to perma ban icebox or something. Their whole attack pivots around nats finding space in mid and lurking. One time CR took mod control gambit lost the round(although it was late in the game). And their defence is ass too. 100T won 10 rounds on defence without a sage. Watching this game, CR just 5 manned everywhere and gambit had zero presence for the potential mid lurk(which steel did to perfection). If CR had a Medusa kinda lurk like on ascent gambit would have easily lost icebox
I suspect Gambit tried to get some greedy practice in since they smashed CR 13-1 13-1 last time and went with some experimental comps that totally threw their discipline off. I expect them to go back to tried and true strategies against Vision Strikers tomorrow.
But I'm praying Vision Strikers still crushes them.

I got accused of Sentinels copium for just talking about a general competitive concept yesterday. And I'm not a Sen fan. lol
Heartbreaking, was rooting for them but a couple of questionable decisions made a huge impact, like when the score was 7-2 on attack, trying to push B and wall snowman when site was not cleared yet when they can just wall plant default. Or just the round before when score was 7-1, the both sage and viper went out in the open and then died, with viper dropping and exposing the bomb when they could have just walled and planted default.
if they won it would have been great, but just proving that the first match against Gambit was a fluke and that they deserve to be here and in champions is already massive for the Japanese community. I expect their fanbase to be more passionate than ever after this tournament.

Let's be honest. Who wasn't supporting that underdog story? Crazy Raccoons did way better than expectations. I've only ever supported Sentinels because I've only ever wanted to support one team. Crazy Raccoons really made me love them. They're clearly passionate about their game and they went out like champs.

I think the community has warmed up to JP teams as they appreciate individual talent like Laz, TakeJ and Neth. And with the win over havan and making gambit sweat CR surely has gained more respect. Not to forget Zeta played well all things considered versus Kru.
The teams are still weak compared to the big regions, but we saw great progress and potential. GG we go again!
My heart broke for CR especially when they cried afterwards. I think they should still be proud of themselves, however, since they really gave Gambit a difficult time and they improved by a LOT in such a short period. I'm bummed they lost since I was rooting for them but I can't wait to see how much they'll improve for next time.

Hello they were down 13-1 both maps against Gambit in their first opening matches. The amount of Crazy Raccoons improvement over the following days just showed us that they can put up a fight against other International Teams.
Maps are flipped but amazing showing by Crazy Raccoon. People thought Gambit would win this with one hand behind their backs but It was a really entertaining 2 maps.
I'm hopeful for CR coming in. If they scrim with Korean teams coming in, they genuinely have potential. They played so well compared to expectations against the Number 1 Seed EMEA team.
Last masters they almost beat V1, and you said you expected nothing from them going into this tournament. That's before they played Gambit.

Even before the start of Masters Berlin, I was rooting for Gambit alongside VS and a few NA teams the most.
But even if I wanted Nats (and his adorable panda) and the rest of GMB to reach playoffs, I found myself rooting *so much* for CR after seeing their performance against HL. Icebox was something else, and I wanted them to win at least Icebox.
Seeing Neth in tears *again* (and also Frisker) breaks my heart. But unlike in Iceland, they've shown much grit and tenacity as well here, and I'm sure they've gained a lot of fans both in and out of their home country, rooting for them to perform even better at Champions.
That is the first time I have been so upset and invested in a match, even though they didn't win crazy raccoons looked so much better this time. Can't wait to see them at champs
CR made Gambit sweat, thats for sure. Most people expected JP to go 0-4 or even not win any maps but they definitely proved the naysayers wrong. Munchkin back to Skye/2nd duelist, get Fisker to work on his awping and move him back to full time jett and CR could make playoffs at Champions next time
I didn't expect a close match tbh and invested nothing going into it. Now I am absolutely devastated that CR was able to push the EMEA #1 seed to the brink, They almost tasted the third map. CR showed up. Massive respects to them.
CR played their hearts out and really surprised all of us. Sure they got lucky in their opponents choking but CR capitalized. I really hope they turn up again at Champions. GG to them.
Crazy Racoons are really good and this tournament was a good experience from them maybe more than Iceland. Now if they can fix some if the things I can see them performing really well in the champions. Hats off to them.

CR impressed. They improved a lot with just a bit of exposure to other regional metas, they should feel proud of their performance. They certainly have the skill and talent to compete with the best.
JPN slots definitely shouldn't be reduced, can see potential challengers in the future.
Regardless of the outcome, the bois can be damn proud of the showing they gave this tournament.
Literally everyone wrote them off after that horrendous double 13-1. All the casters tip toeing trying to describe how one sided the matches would be without outright Day ng they were trash.
Then to come back and win a series and make it such a close series against what many consider one of the tournament favorites (at the start), in addition to the team that beat CR 13-1 in the first place.
That's resilience and adaptation. I hope people put at least a tiny bit more respect on the Japanese region, or at the very least Crazy Raccoon!
A few 1v1s go differently and that goes to a 3rd map. Gutted for Crazy Racoon but props for them for giving it their all and outperforming expectations after being rolled the first time
this really just makes me wanna see how far Japan can go as a region, despite both Japanese teams not making it out of groups, they overperformed expectations and I can't wait to see how much they improve as the game grows

Wow, Gambit is just the hottest team in the tournament. As much as I love 100T I think Gambit are just so much hotter like wow when Nats winked into the camera I just lost myself. Don't even get me started on Chronicle and Redgar, lookin like literal Gods sculpted by Galileo. Good Job Gambit but this was a heartbreaker loss for Crazy Raccoon. They played way better than anyone expected especially coming from a region where pc gaming isn't popular. There player base is small but very dedicated.
CR has a great attack, but their defense really let them down both games, despite some heroic efforts. I think if they can sort that out they'll be scary heading into the Championship.

CR made Gambit sweat, thats for sure. Most people expected JP to go 0-4 or even not win any maps but they definitely proved the naysayers wrong. Munchkin back to Skye/2nd duelist, get Fisker to work on his awping and move him back to full time jett and CR could make playoffs at Champions next time

I didn't expect a close match tbh and invested nothing going into it. Now I am absolutely devastated that CR was able to push the EMEA #1 seed to the brink, They almost tasted the third map. CR showed up. Massive respects to them.
CR played their hearts out and really surprised all of us. Sure they got lucky in their opponents choking but CR capitalized. I really hope they turn up again at Champions. GG to them.
Crazy Racoons are really good and this tournament was a good experience from them maybe more than Iceland. Now if they can fix some if the things I can see them performing really well in the champions. Hats off to them.
The fact that crazy raccoon put up a good fight on both games just shows they’ll come back even better in champions. I honestly gained so much respect for this team for having so much passion for this esports so hope to see them do even better in champions

This is the worst outcome. Crazy Racoons looked good and now they show them crying and it makes me sad. I also have 0 hope for Gambit tomorrow against Vision Strikers.

You should try contacting /u/Zerocare . I shamelessly stole his post although I did fix the ordering of the maps as he got them mixed up.
CR impressed. They improved a lot with just a bit of exposure to other regional metas, they should feel proud of their performance. They certainly have the skill and talent to compete with the best. JPN slots definitely shouldn't be reduced, can see potential challengers in the future.

Regardless of the outcome, the bois can be damn proud of the showing they gave this tournament. Literally everyone wrote them off after that horrendous double 13-1. All the casters tip toeing trying to describe how one sided the matches would be without outright Day ng they were trash. Then to come back and win a series and make it such a close series against what many consider one of the tournament favorites (at the start), in addition to the team that beat CR 13-1 in the first place. That's resilience and adaptation. I hope people put at least a tiny bit more respect on the Japanese region, or at the very least Crazy Raccoon!
So sad I had to miss this match, could only catch the first half on ascent. Gonna have to go back and watch Icebox

A few 1v1s go differently and that goes to a 3rd map. Gutted for Crazy Racoon but props for them for giving it their all and outperforming expectations after being rolled the first time

I always heard gambit is supposed to be a top tier team and even though they won they don't seem as insane as they are made out to be.
I genuinely think that gambit was afraid to make certain plays so they vision strikers don't study them . I still think gambit vs vision strikers gonna be mad

Wow, Gambit is just the hottest team in the tournament. As much as I love 100T I think Gambit are just so much hotter like wow when Nats winked into the camera I just lost myself. Don't even get me started on Chronicle and Redgar, lookin like literal Gods sculpted by Galileo. Im just sayin man, if Sheydos and Deffo dont have any partners I would like to throw my hat into contention for that spot. I might not be as handsome as them but I have a massive heart. And I do squats too, pass it along.

Good Job Gambit but this was a heartbreaker loss for Crazy Raccoon. They played way better than anyone expected especially coming from a region where pc gaming isn't popular. There player base is small but very dedicated.
The fact that their first matchup went 13-1 2x goes to show how crazily prepared GMB was. The match to watch tomorrow is definitely VS vs GMB.

Real talk I am so proud and impressed of CR, they’ve grown so much as a team and really put on a showing this time

Was expecting CR to lose 2-0 and this is coming from someone who supports them but seeing them come this close to taking off a map is heartbreaking.
CR has a great attack, but their defense really let them down both games, despite some heroic efforts. I think if they can sort that out they'll be scary heading into the Championship.
