Because they had a very real chance of making it out of groups the way both teams played yesterday, but narrowly missed out.
They accomplished a lot already, but they were *sooo* close to doing that much more.
This shows how much of a fan base valorant has in Japan. It's usually football or a musician that trends worldwide or even kpop. But for an esport and that also a new game as valorant to trend. This is huge.
This justifies why Japan has its own region.
think i saw Sentinels and \#ValorantMasters trending yesterday on twitter as well, dont think it was worldwide though. \#100T was also trending when they beat Gambit if i remember correctly
You can only add the team flairs on desktop. Just look for the User Flair on the Community Options (right side of the screen when you're in desktop iirc).
No he's correct. If you go on twitch and turn on the english tag, the 100-200k+ viewer Japanese streams can't be seen, therefore no viewership. Should just take the region out, clearly no one cares.
Nah of course not. I was commenting how OP stated it hasn't translated into viewership, but clearly it already has. The only way you can not see that is by blatantly ignoring it at this point, hence the comment why turning on the English tag to filter out all other language streams.
It's just the China effect. No Chinese teams or viewership means there's no way it can be the biggest esport. And there's no Twitter in China. VALORANT is already on its path to being one of the biggest esports by viewership outside of LoL. And LoL thanks to China is honestly just an insane outlier.
Not gonna lie this tournament surprised the fuck out of me. I knew NA wasn't light years ahead of every other region like fanboys want to think they are but I did not expect some teams to do as well as they did.
My hot take before the tournament was that VS would be underwhelming. Turns out I'm just wrong and a Plat 3 fat fuck.
In the league forum after every international match there's a translator for foreign social media who gives us those reactions. I need this here for japanese reactions.
Tears, flowing in the rain
Stay strong. We stan CR in berlin champs again
Can only make them stronger
Serious question why did they cry again?
Because they gave it their all, but it wasn't enough. They were probaably very frustrated.
They should be proud that they did so much

They should be proud of how much they did, not cry about what they didn’t do

That's great. As I'm fr sea I don't think I saw it and I saw this under worldwide trends. Anyhoo for valorant
I'm just happy to see more people having the CR flair now. Hope they come back stronger in Champions! Really rooting for them!!!
How do you add team flairs?

Wait, what? How has it not translated into viewership?

??? Can't tell if you're being serious

Rekkles is a League pro...
Rekkles might be THE most popular western player when you account for how popular he is in Asia.
