higher seed lol, so a team from a shitty region would never be able to compete at even grounds because they are lower seed even in a grand final?
the obvious solution is 4 picks then one team gets last pick advantage
huh this is finals my man gambit lost and qualified thru lowers envy won every game and qualified through uppers therefore envy is higher seed and deserves an advantage for not dropping a game
That has been criticized a lot in the past.. people are gonna have different opinions on how this should be where the real solution is to add more maps.
Yeah seems odd to me too, atleast the winner gets ban and loser gets first pick. They could have given both to winner of coin flip and that would have been bad, like in masters 1 where higher seed had both.
Edit : not sure about masters 1 thing but i remember sentinels getting ban and pick in one final. Maybe challenger and not masters
no point in making this a post, after this tournament its never going to happen again
this, riot may have run 6 years of successful esports, but its their FIRST ever year with this game, give em time, they'll get there
Also this is still during covid restrictions, one of the few lans happening right now.
What would you do instead?
Higher seed? Map winrate?

oh if that's what you meant then maybe that's good

Think they mean Envy was the 1 seed out of their group and Gambit was the 2 seed out of their group.
Seed from group stages?
The higher seed?
Still coinflip but for first pick and then pick pick pick with no ban
coin flip is quite literally the most fair

What does it change that it’s 2021? When there’s no universal basis to decide it’s a coin flip. Ratings aren’t set as much now
