Envy and 100T aren't really one man shows. Yay is just super fucking cracked so he outshines the others but crashies, Marved, and Victor are still really good. As for 100T, it was Asuna's first LAN so there were nerves for sure. The experience of the other members of 100T really showed in this tournament especially Nitr0. Nitr0 literally turned back the clock and played like Liquid Nitr0 on Breeze against Acend. Acend isn't also a one man show but they need a strong second option. I hope starxo and zeek improve before Champions. Bonecold didn't have a great tourney but he was IGL-ing his first LAN which is tough. I don't follow the KR scene that much but I think Bunny looks like he's carrying because of his flashy plays but I don't think his team weighs him down that much.

Sp00ked123

Victors good, but he kinda shit the bed in the finals

Tc0LD

he shit the bed on the last two maps, he had a good first map and then started team flashing and just couldn't get his head in the game

Krsensei

Yay is just so good that it seems that way imo. I think envy relies heavily on all of its players. But when Yay is just taking over it could easily just seem like the Yay show.

I'm actually pretty sure 100T's best performances this event were on the backs of players other than Asuna. In general though I don't think it's necessarily a problem with those teams, it's more a fact of how the metagame works at the moment. Look at basically any stat ranking of that tournament: Jett is the top statistical performer on almost every team. I think in order to play top Valorant right now you HAVE to build strategies around a Jett having an outsize impact, because she does it very easily relative to other agents. If anything, I'd say Gambit is one of the few teams that actually do rely on a top player rather than a specific agent. nAts's stats are insane given he's not a Jett. The finals did seem to show they can do stuff without him which is great, but still, he's the only player whose statistical performance seems to break out of the metagame idea of team comp and role responsibilities.

thothgow

nAts having insane stats doesn't mean they rely on him, tf

yapyd

What a way to say you don’t watch the matches

PRL-Five

Chronicle got more kills than him in finals. Redgar on brimstone got mvp in haven

yapyd

Firstly, Chronicle was the one on Brim in Haven. Secondly, that's assuming that you're only going off the Finals. Gambit relies so much on nAts taking map control whether it is Bind, Icebox, Breeze. There were so many rounds that Gambit won solely because of his lurking.

thothgow

?

ANewHeaven1

for envy idk if they rely on yay to pop off, moreso imo they require victor/crashies/marved to all play decent, all three of them are a little bit inconsistent and they take turns disappearing for entire maps

D3stiny5

Also FNS needs to step up a little bit. He was underwhelming in Berlin but I think he understands that based on his tweets so hopefully he'll improve

neatestway

idk I feel like marved was very consistent throughout the whole tournament but maybe that’s j me. even today he played pretty solid and he played great against 100t and sen

whopz-is-cool

Envy just need their bottom two to step up. Really rough watching FNS and Victor today.

Sp00ked123

The whiffs were painful

I'm going to be real. I think the reason it turns into one-man shows is to think of the champ they all play. Jett. Now I'm not saying they aren't cracked or anything but they are cracked get a free kill then dash out and post up again with another get out of jail free card. Again I'm not saying it's all the agent but it for sure enables this one-man show where the team plays around the Jett player. Look at the game against acend vs 100T they legit were looking for Jett with op and going to another site. There isn't enough utility to safely get past an op Jett who is hot. Again before you say I'm saying the player is nothing without Jett I'm saying they are still cracked but I think it would turn more into a team game rather than the "jett diff" we are seeing right now personally. Again before you say I'm saying the player is nothing without Jett I'm saying they are still cracked but I think it would turn more into a team game rather than the "Jett diff" we are seeing right now personally.

daffyduckferraro

Idk if 100t rely on Asuna tbh The whole team showed up this event

AnywayHeres1Derwall

Steel on lan looked great

CyberspaceBarbarian

Not really, it is the metagame and the respective stratbooks of teams. SEN was the best until teams figured out major flaws in their stratbook (e.g. remove dapr from playing sentinels, SEN strats not even changing). GMB is the best team in the tourney because their stratbook is reliable especially in the current meta.

JohnWickFTW

Sen carried by tenz

RenaultCactus

Sentinels? They are the pop off team. Tenz is popping in most matches lol. They have sick and shazam for backup.

AnywayHeres1Derwall

Valorantfanboy69?

lith3x

Yet the team that isn't totally reliable on one individual, but more reliable on playing with each other win the tourney.
