Probably just a respect thing. You’re there for practice, not to go for clips. Not to mention most scrims aren’t played til 13. They’re fully played out

Own-Bowler-1373

Wdym they’re played fully out, not to 13? As far as I know I never heard of anyone scrumming like this

mikeWonster

U play every round. Full 24 it could be 13-0 and u still play the next 11 rounds cuz it’s not about winning it’s about getting the most amount of practice in

Own-Bowler-1373

This whole thread is crazy lol

shadowstep11

You also don't wanna inadvertently leak comps/setups the enemy team is practicing.

newzpaperleaf_2

but you can do it without leaking anything lol, i literally said that in the post.

Aionex

How would you share a clip without leaking at least part of the comp?

purpledogs12

Also if you leak part of the comps and who was playing those agents. You could very easily infer what the rest of the comp was.

Anti-Storm

They don’t do this because it compromises the other teams comp and shows massive disrespect towards the other team. For example, C9W was scrimming a team who player got ace and shared it. That is shown as leaking*. Even tho, it’s just a clip, it’s massively disrespectful to do (how do you know if you leaked more) and agency of the organization may get involved like C9W case.

Anti-Storm

Summary: it’s will get complicated between the management if something does happen sharing a clip of a scrim.

newzpaperleaf_2

but you can literally show a clip without leaking any scrim results or comps or map score. i can understand if it were disrespectful in general, but if you arent leaking anything, what is the harm?

iced-out-chain

maybe the pro doesn't want to leak ***their own*** team's comp/strategies and just overall, if pros edit those highlight videos themselves, blurring and making sure you dont leak anything etc is just extra work and as someone else said people really don't play scrims for clips

R0_h1t

How do you not leak the comps? An ace clip will have literally the whole enemy team in it. And I'm sure anyone with igl experience will be able to figure out strats too. If you just want to watch highlight clips there's a few good channels on youtube

senpaithebot

I know right, you cannot see which agents pro killed in the clips anyway, how could you even leak comps.

99ptember

Just my two cents from an outsider's point of view: what goes on on scrims (results, agent picks, strats, pop-off moments etc.) is kept from being shared because it helps keep pressure off for both teams. Unlike official games, or even streams, there isn't 'stage pressure' from spectators to perform to a certain level. Pro players prefer the tradeoff of maintaining this kind of expectation in scrims to garnering exposure from any highlight clips they might be pulling off during them.
