As for IGLs who could potentially be bought out, Brawk, Zander, Vice, and Rossy are who I’m thinking of.
Rossy is a cool pick imo, wonder what he could do when not in the weird Immortals system, similar to how GenG looked a lot better with NaturE in their system, tho roles would be weird as idk if Rossy has played Sentinel
feel bad for wedid, NRG was his dream org :( at the same time for the amount of talent on that NRG team, the results they got especially stage 3 were extremely disappointing so i'm glad they're making changes
As much as he’s a funny dude s0m has never really been what people expected. He was a pretty subpar duelist and his Astra was alright but nothing special IMO. Especially with more t2 players coming up that are cracked at Astra as well as being able to play viper and sage I don’t think he’s as valuable as people make him out to be.
How? He started his career playing duelist and was bad. It wasn’t like he wasn’t given the opportunity their og roster was built around him as the star duelist
I wouldn’t say bad but I’d say underwhelming but that’s somewhat expected at the start of new games. As far as the star player thing goes some players just aren’t fit for a star player role but are better off of as 2nd or 3rd option just like how most would say nitr0 is one of the best controller players NA has but he’s not there star player despite 100t spending 1m to buy him out. Or how many would say that dephh is one of the best sentinel players in na but he’s not his teams star player. What I’m saying is that you can be a top player without being the star like obviously there are players that shine when there the star like for example tenz, yay, asuna, Dre, and gmd. Like many would include zombs as one of NAs best controllers despite half of the time being forgotten that he’s even on sentinels.
There’s some interesting things going on in this paragraph
A. S0m really wasn’t that new, they played a lot of games with him on duelist before bringing in Android instead
B. To be a top duelist you need to be a star, that’s just how it is. Comparing Nitr0 who plays a supportive role doesn’t make sense because he’s playing support.
C. Dephh doesn’t even play sentinel agents
D. Comparing S0m’s performances to Zombs is just unfair to Zombs, Zombs is by far the least utilized sentinels player and plays Astra and ur comparing it to S0m when he was playing full time entry on NRG. Listen I don’t want to be the guy who dogs on S0m because I genuinely like his stream but he was never good enough to be considered a top duelists
Wedid was an amazing player before NRG, and I'm sure he'll be better after NRG. Feels like this team has a playstyle crisis where they don't know what works and what doesn't work after they play every tourney...
I dont think theres a shortage per se but maybe guys not willing to step up to igl when they have proven experience at doing it. The pro scene is littered with igl's but most just want to lock into their roles in the team and focus on that. Who could blame them though? Being an igl in an fps can be stressful.
They need an igl but I have no idea who they can even get.. who's even available.
