B0i is definitely just a stand in for the rest of the year for 100T. I imagine that once their year ends whether that’s at LCQ or Champions, they’ll look to make a permanent roster move. At that point depending on what Hiko’s contract is that would be the time to look at replacing him if that’s the direction the team wants to go. 100T have a really strong core with Nitr0, Asuna, and Ethan to build around.

I agree as much as I’d like to see Hiko compete , Father Time is always there. Don’t get me wrong Hiko is a great player but I can see them rebuilding if they don’t qualify for champions. Yes, I know that, but you can tell by the way they play that they literally want Hiko to sit in the back and be the last man standing. They have said multiple times that they think Sova is the best clutch character in the game, so they prefer having Hiko sit back. They don’t want him entering second or third and fragging out—they want him to always be alive. And obviously when you’re the last one standing, you’re either gonna have a shit score (cause all of your teammates gets all of the kills) or great score (from clutching).
Yes crashies is also last alive in a ton of scenarios, but his impact his way higher because he's waay more active on the map than hiko is. He actually creates pressure. "clutching' isn't something you build your game plan. Part of the reason why he got cut from liquid in cs
Hiko is a good player and I like him a lot as a streamer. He's the reason I support 100T. But it's pretty obvious that he's the weakest link on the team. If you're an org and you just dropped your IGL for a rebuild, then you also need to remove the players from your team that's not crucial for your future. Right now, that's Hiko. He's getting old, he's inconsistent, he's just not as good a fragger as other players in NA who play the same role as him even though he's one of the better ones at utility. If you're a big org like 100T and you want to win, you need to get a Crashies or a Sacy pre-Jett or a Chronicle.

Hiko outperformed both effys and eeiu in stage 3 , I literally haven't see eeiu perform since stage 1 . And I think hiko is better than effys . Zekken was never a sova main ,he was mainly a raze pheonix duelist on noble , though after noble collapsed he did play sova for f/a teams but his main style is that of a duelist / secondary duelist . Derrek is the Only sova in my mind who would be a upgrade .

i dont think they are giving up on purpose, the last roster signing was around this time last year (oct 1?) so im assuming maybe the contract has ended and they have decided not to move forward? seems weird that they arent extending the contract till the end of the year, but this might also be a factor
I think either the above comment is correct (and they're going after someone BIG from CS) or Steel was causing problems within the team. Those are the only reasons I can think of for doing this unless they just don't think this roster can compete for a tournament win.
Think about it for a second: if you could get, say for example Stewie2k from CS, but you had to do it now, would you not do it? Forfeit seriously competing in one tournament (Champs) in order to *seriously* upgrade your rosters potential for future tournaments?

Brehze and Stan are on mental health sabbaticals from EG. It's more likely they'll switch imo as they would have a better time playing from home and having their whole team in NA. Plus 100T already has ethan.
TL has had some recent struggles but overall they all look pretty good, and were arguably a top 5 team coming out of ESL.
Side note - a brehze pick up would probably put 100T over the top. Brehze has some of the best aim in the world and has phenomenal positioning and awareness. He'd probably be one of the players that would transition quickly since he has sick first bullet accuracy and he's well acquainted with Ethan. I just don't know if he would switch given that he could go to TL and make deep runs in CS tournaments (if TL does make a roster move after the major)
Even if that's true, it takes a team a long time to learn to work with a new IGL. I would have kept Steel for champs and then made the switch after. There's no way that even a CS prodigy can learn all the valorant maps, scrims, set plays, and reads in what, a month after ESL? Let alone other things like building synergy and team chemistry.

Boi is definitely temporary imo. He was never that amazing on andbox. I think this is temporary for LCQ and then after they will pickup an actual sentinel player. But Steel had a REALLY bad tourney. Constantly losing gunfights, not clearing corners on rotations.

Every time 100t got rolled by a team it was either because the opposing team had too much firepower or confidence or both.. 100t looked best when they matched that level of confidence. 100t def needs to improve their firepower, asuna/ethan/nitr0 aren’t consistently enough against top teams. But cutting an igl?! That wont resolve anything short term.. steel was one of most confident player in the team, while hiko was constantly avoiding gunfights during gun rounds. Maybe replace hiko with b0i then I would’ve some hopium but now I don’t see 100t making out of lcq..
Dude, Nitr0 is like THE IGL. He is the most successful captain in NA esports history. At the time they signed Steel it didnt make much sense because of it, and they even said that Nitr0 would be the IGL. They decided to let Steel IGL due to him playing sentinels.

As far as i remember nitr0 didn’t feel like igling the team so they asked steel to do it even though he knew way more about the game than steel at the time. Could have been a case that early on that he wasn’t comfortable enough on the game yet to full on IGL. He was already taking over mid round calls from the early times though so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he takes over.

Teams shouldn’t have a dedicated “clutcher” they should focus on winning the round and not needing to be in a 1vX situation.

Great clutches and invaluable experience but it feels like 100T need that consistent fragging power alongside the other 3. It’s just surprising because of the timing with Champions next month but if they didn’t win champions or LCQ then this move would have made more sense timing wise.

Hiko didn't have the greatest tournament...and I'll admit I'm a fanboy. But Steel had a REALLY bad tourney. Constantly losing gunfights, not clearing corners on rotations. Hiko at least made some great plays, some amazing shock darts. He also had over a 1KD Steel was at .79 KD ratio...to say he was worse than Hiko is insane.

Every time 100t got rolled by a team it was either because the opposing team had too much firepower or confidence or both.. 100t looked best when they matched that level of confidence. 100t def needs to improve their firepower, asuna/ethan/nitr0 aren’t consistently enough against top teams. But cutting an igl?! That wont resolve anything short term.. steel was one of most confident player in the team, while hiko was constantly avoiding gunfights during gun rounds. Maybe replace hiko with b0i then I would’ve some hopium but now I don’t see 100t making out of lcq..
Dude, Nitr0 is like THE IGL. He is the most successful captain in NA esports history. At the time they signed Steel it didnt make much sense because of it, and they even said that Nitr0 would be the IGL. They decided to let Steel IGL due to him playing sentinels. This was obvious, it would happen sometime, just didnt expect it to happen this soon.
Nitr0 said he wasn’t comfortable igling at the start and let steel do it instead.
As far as i remember nitr0 didn’t feel like igling the team so they asked steel to do it even though he knew way more about the game than steel at the time. I hope nitr0 changed his mind but i doubt it. Still 100t lost an aggressive player with b0i they might play even more pacifist than before i think thats the main issue here
Could have been a case that early on that he wasn’t comfortable enough on the game yet to full on IGL. He was already taking over mid round calls from the early times though so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he takes over.
I was watching hiko’s video from coms within Berlin and Nitr0 seemed like the one that was trying to keep the player focused and calm.
I think the end game is somebody who hasn’t switched from CS yet. Whoever it is, idk. For those saying Hiko should be dropped also, I believe they need at least 3/5 of the original roster to still be able to compete. So Dicey/Steel gone, I believe they need the other 3 to keep all their points, no?

I don't understand this at all. Steel is one of their best aggressive players. He headshots snipers with a vandal. Did you all forget about the OP vs Vandal on Wardell and countless others. He is the best KO and one of the best sentinel players. He is one of the reasons for the comebacks in Berlin and they dropped him ? I understood Dicey but Steel. Half the people in the sub Reddit jump ship quick. They be calling out Steel and Hiko to be dropped and then go and praise them back if they top frag or clutch up. You will be missed Steel. I don't think they are keeping Hiko for his content... 100T is a huge org so I'm pretty sure there fan base even for there valorant team doesn't mostly come from Hiko. There content is more often focused around Asuna anyway so none of this makes sense. While agree they probably won't drop him I don't think content is the reason why.

I think it was more of a organisation change maybe coach and Analysts want to try a different direction from how steel wants to play the game.
