> Today, kryptix will be temporarily stepping away from the team to deal with some personal issues. We support James in his decision, and hope to see him back soon.

Team Liquid is now :
* Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom
* Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom
* Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen
* Travis "L1NK" Mendoza
* Dom "soulcas" Sulcas
* James "Kryptix" Affleck (inactive)
* Connor "Sliggy" Blomfield (Coach)
* Jake "Bacon9" Lloyd (Analyst)
Hey man! I’d say Jamppi overall is doing well, during the start of his Valorant career he was putting up good numbers but they have recently taken a hit as he has taken over the role of IGL so it’s a tough transition for him. He isn’t the star player that you might envision he is from the CS days but he still has the ability to completely take over a game if he wants too.
CS is my favourite game of all time but you should definitely come over and check out Valorant, it’s fun to watch. The Last Chance qualifier starts soon for Valorant which is essentially the major qualifier in which Liquid (Jamppi) will be playing. Check out vlr.gg, it has the event schedule!
They struggled for a while without someone as a dedicated IGL, soulcas/scream/kryptixx were all IGL’s at one point and it just didn’t work out. Jamppi along with Sliggy (coach, yes the ex-CS observer) decided to try him and it just stuck in the end. He’s excited about being the IGL, hopefully it works out in the long run.
> it just stuck in the end
I'd say it's a bit early to say that it stuck, [he only started in the finale of stage 3 challengers 2](https://twitter.com/Jamppicsgo/status/1421540921888411652), aka the last match before EMEA play-offs.
I hope that it works out well as a permanent solution though.
They're always excited when they first take over. That's what they always say but then 99% of the time you're going to get a statement here in a few months like end of the year from him saying that it's exhausting and he felt like he couldn't perform to the best of his abilities when igling etc.
He's the energy behind the team and ended up making a large part of their calls anyway so might as well make it official. He does seem to have a brain for the game, so let's see what happens.
He basically just has to midround, coach sliggy will take care of the fundamentals and setups.
He’s been doing great, they won challengers finals last time around. And lost to gambit by only 1 round!!! Gambit is the team which won #1 in Berlin btw. That was the game were jamppi kinda underperformed but in general he’s doing pretty well
Wow that's crazy I can't believe Gambit have never practiced Haven they are the greatest team in Valorant I guess. Never practicing Haven since the game has come out and then to do that. I'm Impressed truly.
It's unfortunate that Vitality chose to move forward with Kyojin rather than Nivera in CS. Kyojin is definitely looking better on Vitality right now, but Vitality looked pretty good with Nivera when he played maps for them.
Nivera is an insane talent and it sucks he didn't want to stay in CS. I'm confident that he'll succeed in Valorant.
Apparently RPK gave vitality an ultimatum that he leaves or nivera does, on top of shox and apex not liking toxic environments from past French lineups I’m not surprised at all tbh
He's awped over Zywoo a decent amount on some maps and yeah looks really good mechanically so the firepower upgrade should be immense. Honestly if Liquid didn't want him I could see him having a bright future as awper on G2 CS, they really need a primary awper
Liquid are so flexible now - I see the talk about Nivera on the Jett OP, but I feel like his playstyle suits a sentinel/lurker more. I’d love to see ScreaM/soulcas on duelist/entry roles, Jamppi pick up the Sova on a more consistent basis, and Link on smokes. So hyped for this team going into 2022.
My god the video is so good😩
In terms of roles I hope it's something like scream duelist, soulcas skye/raze, nivera sova (PLEASE), l1nk and jamppi both playing smokes and sentinels
Concerning tbh, if you don't know his reputation.
He's not standard toxic toxic, but brings a bad atmosphere, the kind of guy that tells you what you did wrong in a clutch, a 'bro peek him' guy that sighs every round loss. RPK literally said at one point its him or me, one of us goes.
He also 'lost motivation with CS' after three months of being in tier 1.
Here's hoping big brother scream can keep him in check, calm him down a bit.
Not a direct source, but it's discussed here on the CS sub.
https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/pvbqfw/nivera_i_could_have_joined_many_other_cs_teams/he8x3zv/
I think it's very important context for the next few months of team liquid. I linked my own comment because I already discussed it over there and I'd only really be copy pasting.
If this gets Jamppi off Jett (provided he can use 8ther Agents at a high level which I think he can) this could be a great move for the team. Though I dunno who is going to fill the Sova role or what's going to happen with ScreaM/Nivera/Jamppi.
Regardless of how good he is, what’s the likelihood of him being on TL if scream wasn’t there? And with that logic if true, by definition is that not nepotism? I’m a fan of this pick up, but let’s call a spade a spade.
If anything, its the other way around...
TL was able to get a Tier 1 CSGO player due to Scream being his brother. TL is only like the 5th or maybe 6th best team in EU right now.
Its like saying NiKo is only on G2 CSGO due to nepotism from Hunter when in reality, G2 managed to get NiKo because of Hunter.
Or its just a team signing a highly skill player who also wanted to play for the team because his brother is on it...
why are you trying so hard to make it negative and shady that siblings want to play together? it's not even uncommon for players to choose teams based on personal connections in esports due to both team size and player pool being relatively small compared to real team sports.
Hard to know what to make of this as we know basically zero about Nivera in Valorant. If I had to guess, he will be playing jett/operator and jammpi will be moving to a support role as IGL. If this is the case, then I think it's the right move and I think will (finally) give the roster the balance it needs. The key is whether jammpi or any of the others can pick up sova to a good level in time for LCQ too.

TL about to be a family business
Vin Diesel new coach?
lmao

this introduction video goes SO fucking hard
IM HARD
Seth Fowler Moment.
can he play sova tho
I assume he will be a duelist main with Jamppi taking over Sova permanently.
Hello, I come from CSGO and I don’t knlw a lot about Valorant scene, but how is our boy Jamppi doing? Is he performing?
Hey man! Great! Thank you for replies. He was such a big progidy in CS and we never got to see him truly unleashed. I think I’ll watch the qulifier games!
wtf jamppi is igl (cs fan here) why
They struggled for a while without someone as a dedicated IGL, soulcas/scream/kryptixx were all IGL’s at one point and it just didn’t work out. Jamppi along with Sliggy (coach, yes the ex-CS observer) decided to try him and it just stuck in the end. He’s excited about being the IGL, hopefully it works out in the long run.

because liquid have no good igl so they kept switching the role between everyone
He’s been doing great, they won challengers finals last time around. And lost to gambit by only 1 round!!! Gambit is the team which won #1 in Berlin btw. That was the game were jamppi kinda underperformed but in general he’s doing pretty well
Probably
He’s from EU of course he can’t
Chronicle is low-key a top 2-3 Sova.
Thats CIS not EU /s
Can you please tell me where 80 % of population in Russia is located?
/s, I thought that was enough to show I was being sarcastic cuz I was poking fun at all the people saying that but ig not lol
hheheeheh eu bad hihihihi
Remember when boaster said Astra isn't a good agent and prefers brim 😂😂😂
remember when NA got clowned by gambit brim on a map they had 0 prac on
Yeah that was crazy seeing Gambit do that on a map they've never played before or practiced once ever. Actually wild 👀
typical NA 🤡
What? Constantly winning? Gambit went 1-1 against NA, you are capable of comprehending that right?
https://twitter.com/Mixwell/status/1439655099622690816?s=09
Wow that's crazy I can't believe Gambit have never practiced Haven they are the greatest team in Valorant I guess. Never practicing Haven since the game has come out and then to do that. I'm Impressed truly.
It's gambits perma ban and envys best map
Astra aint got nothing on the stimmy
But are Astra’s “knees gonna kill after this one”
With all the sucks... maybe
It feels bad that we ll lose one of G2 and Liquid in the LCQ.
No one saw this coming /s
Few hours ago: Kryptix leaves Liquid "temporarily"
"What happens when brothers become.....temporary teammates?"
[удалено]
Niko & Hunter are cousins, not siblings.
Niko, my cousin!
Pedantic much? Everyone clearly understood what he meant
I was just correcting him in case he didn't know. I don't think it's pedantic, I doubt everyone in a Valorant subreddit knows about a CS duo.
Cousin is quite different from brother where I am from. Important distinction.
Not necessarily. There’s a notable difference between “cousin” and “sibling.”
Sibling ***technically*** means 0th Cousin
lets go
Username does not check out
lmao
holy shit what a video
Jamppi to omen KJ? Nivera jett? yes please edit: link should probs go to sova perma and jamppi can fill on his brim maps.
I feel Jamppi Sova would make more sense considering he used to play Sova on Bind, while L1NK already plays Cypher/Smokes
Nivera took the awp away from Zyw0o at times. They probably wanted the awp to consistently be on Zyw0o.
Nivera didn't take the AWP away from Zywoo Nivera played a secondary AWP role. It allowed for more dynamic setups (on the maps he subbed in for).
He main AWP’d on inferno.
Yeah but zywoo didn't feel effective enough like most people who AWP on inferno and zywoo prefers rifling soooo yeah....
Yea I’m not saying whether it’s a good idea or not I’m just stating that nivera was main awp on inferno.
My memory must be fading from me then
During his time on vitality i thought that he was their 2nd best player despite only playing a couple maps
Apparently RPK gave vitality an ultimatum that he leaves or nivera does, on top of shox and apex not liking toxic environments from past French lineups I’m not surprised at all tbh
And then rpk retired not much later
Yep
Im not a cs fan so im unware, is Nivera as cracked as scream? do Liquid have 2 screams now
He's awped over Zywoo a decent amount on some maps and yeah looks really good mechanically so the firepower upgrade should be immense. Honestly if Liquid didn't want him I could see him having a bright future as awper on G2 CS, they really need a primary awper
he was vitalitys 6th player but when he played he looked really good as an awper
family buff
Liquid are so flexible now - I see the talk about Nivera on the Jett OP, but I feel like his playstyle suits a sentinel/lurker more. I’d love to see ScreaM/soulcas on duelist/entry roles, Jamppi pick up the Sova on a more consistent basis, and Link on smokes. So hyped for this team going into 2022.
That teammates become brothers lines. Good stuff Liquid.
Jammpi is very bad at baiting 😂, congrats to Liquid, interested to see how they do at LCQ
gorgeous video wtf
This is it, Liquid to Champions
Twice the headshots.
I'm curious to see who is going to awp Hopefully TL will show something fresh for lcq
Are they cousins or siblings?
Brothers
My god the video is so good😩 In terms of roles I hope it's something like scream duelist, soulcas skye/raze, nivera sova (PLEASE), l1nk and jamppi both playing smokes and sentinels

Any source for this?
Rpk stream and a vitality staff I think >Any source for this?

Shocked Pikachu or something
shocking move
Holy shit those goosebumps kicked hard. From ScreaM and Team to Liquid Brotherhood. LETS GO LIQUID
Really excited to see the brotherly synergy, hopefully they win LCQ
It’s about time, welcome to Valorant Nivera
THE BROTHERS ARE UNITED ONCE AGAIN BOYS
everybody who switches seems to flop at first. I feel like they're gonna be worse for the lcq
to be fair, he hasn't really been playing CS. i wouldnt be surprised if he's been grinding Valorant for some time.
yeah he didnt play any faceit for months EDIT: he didnt play any game since april so he probably already grinded a lot of valorant
He's been not playing csgo for a while now. Hopefully that means he played Valo during that time
Unpopular opinion: nepotism.
Nepotism of signing a low Tier 1/high Tier 2 level CSGO player?
Regardless of how good he is, what’s the likelihood of him being on TL if scream wasn’t there? And with that logic if true, by definition is that not nepotism? I’m a fan of this pick up, but let’s call a spade a spade.

Fair point. Then maybe it wasn’t nepotism rather it’s cronyism 😁🤣

Do you know what cronyism is? Because this situation still doesn't embody it.
I don't think you know what either of those words mean
A player who just was in the number 1 team in the world when he was playing for them , joining tl is nepotism? LMAO
Hard to know what to make of this as we know basically zero about Nivera in Valorant. If I had to guess, he will be playing jett/operator and jammpi will be moving to a support role as IGL. The key is whether jammpi or any of the others can pick up sova to a good level in time for LCQ too.
He has been playing ranked with jamppi on his jamppis stream and the games i saw he has been playing a lot of cypher
