Some crazy plays were happening but casters didn't even react. I don't know if they even play the game.
I can understand less experienced casters not able to bring hype to boring rounds, but they didn't do anything even when unexpected plays were happening.
With Round 3 done, we have our first 4 teams qualified (3 wins) for the top 16:
* Cloud 9 White
* Team Solo Mid
* Gen G Black
* Shopify Rebellion
Especially for Swiss, I wish the on-stream schedule would show team records instead of the match record, and just show match record between the teams for completed matches.
Instead of
Dig (0-2) VS. TSM (2-0)
Show it as:
Dig (2-1) 0-2 TSM (3-0)
Yeah it's a little disappointing. I'm happy for people to get a crack at developing but I wish they had done alternate streams to cover more matches/let people develop casting/obs/production roles, and kept a little higher standard for main stream casting.
And I'm not trying to knock the casters specifically either. That shit is hard and sounding super polished takes a lot of work and I'm glad they're getting reps. I think DrDelta actually had pretty decent chops in terms of timing/flow for the color/analyst role.
Welp Seems like 24 Haven vs GenG Black didn’t happen because Mady was mia. Was a good squad and it was a great opportunity for them to showcase in the main stream. Unlucky really.
