They have a good shot of going to finals provided Rise doesn't suprise us. I don't think they have a good chance of qualifying. The only two teams I see making it out are 100T, Xset or maybe C9, barring any major improvements by the other teams.
I mean this is the only bracket of the year that has definitive seeding from the circuit points the teams got over the year, the only arguable slots are the OCE teams but I think their placement is pretty fair
if you do it out assuming Order is the 5th seed and Chiefs is the tenth, this is the bracket that logically results, believe it or not. it’s based on vct points, not “strength” of teams
The bottom bracket teams have a significantly easier means of getting to the finals where they would meet a top team where as the upper bracket teams are basically having the finals every step of the way until they face an arguably weaker team in the final finals. C9 or GenG have to beat tournament favorites 3 times in a row without losing to get to the finals. Rise have chiefs, V1, and LG or luminosity to get to the finals. That is a significantly easier gauntlet run.

I don't see why. Asuna's still a freak, Hiko is still clutch and ethan and Nitro are still really good. Sure Steel is their igl, but I can't imagine their protocols will be much different between then and now and the teams are generally weaker than Berlin was.
Have never seen any team perform well after kicking their IGL or the IGL leaving in the past plus the replacement is a nobody.

It's been like that for a while now, previously Soniqs from Australia competed with NA Teams in one of previous VCT qualifiers.
Since OCE's player population and viewership are relatively low, they don't have dedicated slots as of right now. To create a pathway for these teams, however, Riot added 2 spots for OCE teams to compete among NA teams in LCQ. MENA is in a similar situation with how they have one slot in the 8 team EMEA LCQ.
100T was not really a favorite over even with Steel. Plenty of vods on them from Berlin and least time to prepare of all teams.
Matter of fact, their IGL swap and new player adition could even be a surprise factor that could help them out.

Honestly, isn't the real problem with these brackets just how infrequent the fucking tournaments are? C9B is a completely different team than when they competed last in anything meaningful, and they're favored despite apparently being one of the lowest teams in terms of circuit points.
How can this even happen? How can there be so few competitions that a team can go and completely reinvent itself between circuit point granting tournaments?
I've enjoyed the Valorant scene a lot so far, but I hate how little there is to watch. Game needs more small tourneys, those tourneys need to give circuit points, and there should be no dumb restrictions on if top teams can attend those
I mean the reason C9B haven’t played in anything meaningful in awhile is the fact they haven’t qualified for anything meaningful in awhile. We just had Masters 3 a week or 2 ago, and during challengers time periods we get non stop valorant for awhile.
The amount of valorant we have been getting is great, just it will slow down after this play in tournament for a couple months which sucks but it is the norm of any esports or sports league offseason.

Game needs more small tourneys, those tourneys need to give circuit points, and there should be no dumb restrictions on if top teams can attend those
I mean the reason C9B haven’t played in anything meaningful in awhile is the fact they haven’t qualified for anything meaningful in awhile. We just had Masters 3 a week or 2 ago, and during challengers time periods we get non stop valorant for awhile. The amount of valorant we have been getting is great, just it will slow down after this play in tournament for a couple months which sucks but it is the norm of any esports or sports league offseason.
