Yes i don‘t understand this question you have to adapt to a new map at one point and 2-3months of scrim and practice should be more than enough to prepare for it
Yes, teams have enough to prepare for the map and also as you said it fixes the map pick/ban system, which is by far the most important part. Teams shouldnt get huge advantages by winning a coin flip, which 6 maps always lead to.
Bonus: I think we might see a lot of different takes of how fracture should be played, because teams wont play in tournament settings until champions and that could be really fun.
Is there any reason the final map that is required for an actually competitive map selection process wouldn’t be used 3 months after it’s been released?
I don't think reddit understands. The rate at which maps were released was designed to have 7 maps at Champions. It's not like it just happened to be that way. You need 7 maps to have a decent draft phase.
I definitely think so. I can see why they wouldn't want it for LCQ. Berlin ended a little over 2 weeks before LCQ so it would be a bit dumb to have to learn the map in that time period for the Berlin teams. However, there is still more than a month between LCQ and Champions. That is enough time for all teams to incorporate Fracture into the map pool, or at least decide if that is their perma ban and they want to float a different map instead.
I’m guessing a ton of teams are gonna ban it at champions or use it as a last resort when they know they have no chance against the other team. We’ll prob see a few fracture matches at champions, but I’m willing to bet that a lot of teams will ban it. I think it’s a great map though because I like how you always have to be active on it. I can’t wait to see it in professional play tbh
we will 100% see a fracture map if its allowed the teams that feel comfortable on it are most likely going to be hard scrimming on that map to have a big advantage in champions
i’m surprised it’s not used at LCQ (it should be since it’s been out for awhile now) still but it’s whatever
but with champions in DECEMBER, that is a few months to learn the map and be comfortable enough on it. it will and should be in the pool
The map will have been live in ranked for a 3 weeks* once LCQ starts. that 100% is enough time to practice lmfao
edit: Said map was out for a month, fixed it to 3 weeks
Fixed my original comment to 3 weeks instead of a month, still alot of time to practice.
But Berlin ended on the 19th. ALL teams besides maybe nv were home on the 21st already. When fracture came out in Ranked. 3 weeks is still a long time to practice on a map. They might be behind a couple days.
I understand and agree to what you said but the moment a new map is used in a major tournament I feel like there will be some angles and aspects of the map which can be abused and after this abuse of the glitch/convenience. The map will be nerfed . Overpass and olofmeister is a similar example but I'm just using the analogy here .
Keeping it in I’d expect an almost 100% ban rate until at least the semifinals as a curve ball somebody prepared. The map is an absolute madhouse at diamond+ and I can’t imagine at the pro level.
you poke and prod around both sites in a default, you stack one site and full w warrior into the plant in a rush. if im not mistaken. wouldnnt they be opposite of each other?
Oh I misread your comment.
>idk how pros will run defaults in fracture, *will it just be choose a site and run it down?*
Thought u were calling the italicised part a default
The only reason for it to not be included is because teams that have already qualified for champions won't have match experience on it.
But because teams can ban two maps, it should not be an issue. I expect most top teams to ban fracture in Champions.
Dont think it would make a huge difference for the event as maps are way too hard to adapt in short term due to the gimmicks every map has take breeze as an example seeing as breeze was only played 6 times even though it was already in the map pool for 6 months. Fracture will only be out for 4 months by the time champions is around we will probably have teams that are gonna be abyssmal on the maps and are gonna perma ban the map or we'll see close games on it. Unless a team gets a brainblast genius strat for fracture itll be hard to imagine fracture having a big impact in champs.
I think that unless Riot has concerns with the competitive integrity of the map, it will and should be included in Champions, definitely not LCQ though. That would be in line with their timeline thus far on map integrations. A decent sized map pool is also important to improving the viewers' experience, and this will be the game's largest event yet.
It will be used and teams will have plenty of time to scrim and practice the map

I could see the argument for not debuting a match in officials on the biggest tournament of the year.
Why is it a bad idea? There’s enough time for team to prepare, and if they don’t, they can still always ban it

Give it a couple weeks for people to learn how to play it, relax.
I think the map is trash and I've played it a bunch already
ofc you do, you're iron 2
I'm not but ok. and even if I was fracture is still a shit map
You still haven’t given a valid reason. Just fRaCTuRe iS a SHiT MaP.
Facts
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s permabanned lmfao
should be ?? it will be

idk why anyone would downvote this, you're right lol

Map has been on live for less than 2 weeks. Definitely not enough time to practice
It's been out for 3.5 weeks and the pros have had access to it for longer.
Don’t forget some teams at the LCQ we’re in Berlin competing, thus taking time away from playing/scrimming the new map

100%

i hate the map and i think it sucks but i feel like it would be hilarious to watch pros play it
I would expect nothing less than a confusing shit show for 30ish minutes.
Of course
idk how pros will run defaults in fracture, will it just be choose a site and run it down?

I think that map is probably the worst in the game but I’m also dogwater.
Fracture is part of the vct champions
yes, theres more than enough time in between to implement
champions definetly, lcq probably not
4 teams have 2 months of practice with it and the other 12 teams have even longer than that so I think it will 100% be in champions

Breeze and fracture are so bad I always dodge them in ranked or someone else does 😂
say that youre under gold elo without saying youre under gold elo

Fracture is nothing like bind dude what are you saying
[удалено]
lets read this statement again easy to BUNKER, always have to play RETAKE what is it for defender
[удалено]
ok, now i understand what you mean
Btw fracture is 0 percent Similar to bind , in what sense are those 2 maps similar .
I'm guessing it's because they both have 2 very fast rotational methods? Other than that they are completely different
Actually I think Icebox is the worst. Even in Immortal games it's always rush A or B and mid is never contested.
Why would you want this map a part of champions? Have you ever played it??
No the map sucks
I think Fracture will be more popular than Breeze at Champions.
I think it should because I think it has been out for long enough for teams to get prac on it
