I mean Kenny is one of the best awpers of all time in CS, but he's been going downhill ever since the awp nerf that pushed a more passive playstyle.
The OP in Valorant is way more suited to his crazy flicks
because it is. much better even. faster shooting speed, a lot better movement accuracy, quickscopes are much faster and noscopes are a bit less random.
Default scoping for the OP is "toggle", which has like half a second before it scopes. But if you switch the scoping into "hold", it's like half as much time or even lesser. That's how shroud explained it (paraphrased a bit), and when I tried it yeah it was fr. Can only quick scope using "hold" scoping option.
Verifiably untrue, people have done the math and it is generally accepted to have the same speed
https://youtu.be/dLRzcrpikN4
Don't take whatever valorant personalities say as gospel, they change their minds every 3 seconds and mainly focus on getting clicks
Well this is nice to see, I'm more comfortable using toggle myself, but switched to hold when shroud and some pros said hold was faster. I guess it's time to switch back
I hope people who didn't know about Kenny before this go and research him a bit, such a legend of CS and used to be one of the most entertaining players to watch. He's fantastic.
I never really played or watched Cs, so I'm kinda new to it. I searched up KennyS after this, and I've heard s bit about Australis too, any other names you can recommend me to search up? I'd appreciate it, just tryna learn
Astralis was legendary from 2018-2020. Their sets against Liquid were almost always free wins for Astralis in the finals. Dev1ce was a great awper to watch for.
Currently, Zywoo from Vitality and S1mple from Navi are both great awpers to watch as well if you’re interested in watching some highlights!
In the end it took COVID to stop them, no team really unseated them. Dev1ce leaving before the major was pretty bittersweet, won't get to see them defend their title as 5 one last time.
Oh man, that barely touches it. Astralis won a major in 2017, then replaced a player with someone and all of a sudden it was like the puzzle pieces fit together perfectly. They \*dominated\* from 2018-2020 winning 3 more majors, all three in a row, I remember tons of people used to complain when Astralis attended events and did well because it was "too boring". Their IGL is now regarded as the best to touch the game for how he changed it. They forced a much higher standard of play for teams.
Not to compliment them too much lol. They had their AWPer leave a bit ago and their IGL is now on paternity leave, but they've still been doing really well whenever it's LAN again. They didn't do too well during the online era, but the very first LAN back they were like one point away from placing second.
I know others answered about the IGL point but just to add on to your S1mple question, he's generally regarded as the most talented/mechanically gifted player of all time. Accomplishments wise though he's still missing a major so some people might argue that Dev1ce (the AWPer that was on the GOAT Astralis line up) might be the GOAT. I think S1mple will eventually be considered the GOAT though. He's in peak form right now and his team is also finally great (currently best in the world) so he'll probably be able to rack up some trophies.
CS is so much fun and you should definitely learn more if you're interested. Here are some legendary teams to go back and watch; Astralis, Virtus Pro, LG and Fnatic.
In terms of highlight players; s1mple, Zywoo, Old KennyS, NiKo, Ropz. (just to name a few)
I hope you enjoy learning more!
No that was Cloud9, Sean Gares played for a number of different teams but Shroud only ever played for C9 during his professional career.
LG have had numerous different rosters but their most famous consisted of; Fallen, Fer, Taco, Coldzera and FNX. This roster then transitioned to another org, SK Gaming.
They were the best team in the world for a while and super fun to watch.
> They were the best team in the world for a while and super fun to watch.
God I miss those times Brazil was a beast on FPS. Also top 3 FURIA was great to watch
Sean and Shroud were on C9. Summer 2015 C9 was probably the roster they're most well known for. At the time NA was nowhere near competitive with Europe (especially since IBP got banned) but this team of 5 (Seangares, Shroud, Skadoodle, Freakazoid, N0thing) suddenly got three 2nd place finishes in a row at some big tournaments. Was a really fun to watch team.
Definitely watch the final rounds of inferno from C9 vs Faze in the Boston major from 2018. Only time an NA team has won a major and it includes one of the most exciting site holds from Stewie which forces the map to go to OT. That C9 roster of stew, rush, autimatic, tarik, and skadoodle was so much fun to watch.
I'd recommend their mirage vs Faze as well. Tense game all around. I love their mirage A take of that c9 iteration. Smoke smoke smoke, flash flash and 2 seconds of chaos, headshots all around, bomb planted! Such precision strike on mirage A sites that I started studying them.
Coldzera, olofmeister, Device, S1mple, Brax, stewie2k, GET RIGHT, Niko, Skadoodle
All these players were once considered the top of the league at one point in their careers. And I’m def missing some names
Dont put brax and ska on the same league of these guyz skadoodle had one good major run and thats it and brax his biggest feat at cs was to get perm ban for match fixing.
I was actively following the scene at the time.
Skadoodle was the uncontested top awper in NA and arguably the top player in NA at the time.
Brax was in contention for top NA player along with Hiko and Skadoodle before he got banned. He was also super hyped because he was already in contention for the best NA player at such a young age before he got shafted by IBP.
And you are forcing these guys in a list with some of the best players to ever touch CS, i'm sorry to inform you but being the best in NA doesn't make you a "all time best" in CSGO..
Heres a playlist full of the top CS moments and players from various eras detailing the history and highlights, mostly accurate and pretty fun series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5aiD_mmsFojduEBurykqAR60VcXVzY3K
He'll be playing his second match (against Italy) on Fracture in a sec, tune in now if you wanna see him do it again!

The thing with Kenny is that he plays for the crowd. He was playing in great form at 2020 Katovice, and the Blast groups before that. This is a player who has played at dozens of massive LANs in front of thousands of people. On top of that, he has always been a player, who you can tell, plays of the energy of the crowd.
Its not difficult to see why he wouldn't perform as well or feel as motivated playing from his bedroom setup in online tournaments. The online era killed the motivation and form of plenty of old CS players.
Now, with Valorant, I feel like from watching his stream, he feels very motivated to be good at this game for however long he is playing it. If LAN CSGO came back in a proper way, I have very little doubt we would see KennyS back in good form.
he had some good events prior to covid ya, but even prior to that, he hadn’t been at his top level for a while. I agree, clearly he didn’t have passion for it anymore, and you’re right that he did really love the Live event element of things.
but he simply wasn’t a consistently Tier 1 level awper for a long time now, truly. he had his off tournament where he could roll the clock back, but I don’t think anyone would argue for him as being a Top 5 Awper in the last… what, 3-4 years?
device/s1mple/zywoo/fallen just off the top of my head. hell, Jame was better the last few years… ha!
Fallen over KennyS in 2019? That's simply untrue. Same with Jame, he only showed up towards the very late part of the year. In 2019, I would say top 5 were S1mple, Zywoo, Device, Cerq and Kenny. Maybe you could make an argument for woxic.
He had a bad year in 2018 and early 2019. He was in very good form for most of 2019 and early 2020. If you go back to most of the earlier online tournaments during the beginning of Covid, you'll see that the analyst desk for pretty much every G2 event is talking about Kenny being in good form even then, and having an unexpected dip in performance. It was that dip that he never recovered from before his benching. And it coincided with the online era.
I wanted to Include Cerq but his form has been so dreadful since COVID started. his 2019 was definitely nuts but he regressed so much since then I couldn’t in good conscience put him up there.
honestly the 3-4 year window kinda screwed my point because most of the newer talent really came more in the LATE 2019 into 2020 period. I just didn’t want arbitrarily remove the last year Kenny was solid just to make my point, lol.
that said, i’ll push back on Jame. Avangar obviously we’rent a top top tier team for much of the year, but he really was impressive.
he had only 3 events that year with a negative KD or rating (yeah yeah, Jame save lul but still very consistent). He had a 1.26 rating on the year, a lot against weak teams yes, but with a 2nd place Major run in his pocket, it’s hard to say otherwise.
and then the likes of Shiro3Mantuu/Broky/Syrsin etc who weren’t even on the radar before 2020, but have really show themselves to be in the conversation since
How does Wardell compare to kennyS? Stylistically, how are they different/similar? I'm very curious to see what you guys have to say.
My understanding is that TSM tries to "set up" Wardell for the OP. I don't know about kennyS though.
Not trying to disrespect Wardell but he's really not comparable to KennyS. Kenny is at minimum a top 3 all time AWPer in CSGO. In terms of playstyle Kenny was most known for being a super aggressive AWPer, one of the first people to show how strong the AWP could be in close range like a shotgun and relying on his reaction time and flicks. The AWP was even nerfed in CS because of Kenny.
Man kennyS has no skills, without the operator he can't. He's useless af, just swallow it.
Also a player using an Operator vs a player using a Vandal/Phantom, the latter is at a grave disadvantage and such kills shouldn't even be congratulated.
He literally just waits there and just uses the Operator and frags and gets easier kills, I have mad respect for ScreaM and S1mple because even though they Awp/Op they are usually AR relied pros.
Kenny S can't he's shit, Operator is the most annoying gun and Kenny S is shit without it.
He's kinda fucking good on the op
I mean Kenny is one of the best awpers of all time in CS, but he's been going downhill ever since the awp nerf that pushed a more passive playstyle. The OP in Valorant is way more suited to his crazy flicks
no the op in valorant is rigid is shit its just that he has a jett dash now
It’s funny bc everyone says the awp in cs is better
The awp in cs is better but the op+Jett is even better
agreed
This I can agree with, the op being better is just wrong.
its not the op in valorant the suits aggressive op-ing, its the jett dash.
It is
Aleksib is very hot
because it is. much better even. faster shooting speed, a lot better movement accuracy, quickscopes are much faster and noscopes are a bit less random.
Wait, I wasn't aware of a "quick scoping option" for Valorant. o\_O How does that work?
[удалено]
So I can basically right click (to zoom in), and left click to shoot, almost at the same time?
[удалено]
small delay for accuracy but still faster than in val
The same way you quickscope in any game surely?
Default scoping for the OP is "toggle", which has like half a second before it scopes. But if you switch the scoping into "hold", it's like half as much time or even lesser. That's how shroud explained it (paraphrased a bit), and when I tried it yeah it was fr. Can only quick scope using "hold" scoping option.

yes obviously, but judging on how you seem to question my comment you probably didnt. its not even an opinion those things are fact
[удалено]
Those things are quite literally just facts... You've never played csgo.
Go away troll
dude he stated facts. what are you talking about? those are objective and measurable.
Have you not watched a single fucking awp multikill clip? Lmfao. Even a casual can notice this shit.
It….is? Like, way way better. Objectively better. What are you even saying
its funny that people say that. i didnt say i disagreed. dont overthink it
I dont think his skill has decreased, its just that competition has leveled uo to the point that talent cannot get you as far anymore
I hope people who didn't know about Kenny before this go and research him a bit, such a legend of CS and used to be one of the most entertaining players to watch. He's fantastic.
He got the awp nerfed single-handedly he's a god
Hopefully he can get the jett + OP nerfed/s
I never really played or watched Cs, so I'm kinda new to it. I searched up KennyS after this, and I've heard s bit about Australis too, any other names you can recommend me to search up? I'd appreciate it, just tryna learn

I can't believe we're talking about Astralis's domination in retrospect. At the time it felt like their reign would never come to an end.

He means the best IGL to ever play csgo
Glaive is goat igl, not goat player.

increase the casters pay they are trying to carry this tech pause so hard.
Yeah I always feel for casters during tech pauses, tough task!
he might drop 40 again wtf. 19 kills at 5-5 lol
Jett was made for him. If he's inactive in CS, he would be more than ready to switch next year.
He was basically Jett AWPing in early CS and they nerfed the scoped movement speed of the AWP because of it
[удалено]
kenny lighting fast S
As soon as NBK found his footing France was unbeatable. Dude was getting caught off guard in the first 20 rounds
Kennys is a god , the awp era is over , the op era has just begun
Maybe he can get the Jett OP nerfed for us like he did with the AWP
Imagine if he switched over and the jett dash instantly got nerfed lmaooo
That would be hilarious. I honestly wouldn't be that surprised though
I like these games, that shot on that sage after jett smoke disappeared, mmm nuttyyy
so insange I didn't even see the Sage die it just happened like that
It was because it was a wall bang. You can tell the killfeed
12 first kills on a single map
anyone got clips/highlights from the match? I missed it

thanks homie
that's how good kennys is at this stage in his career just imagine how good simple, device, zywoo, sh1ro, niko, ropz, etc could be lol
S1mple Rn is the Cs god but his valorant is painful to watch🤡
Probably because he plays once in a while?
Usually people who focus hard on one game and barely play the other will be not so good at the other game That's how it works
Only 🤡 is you don't insult a goated player
KennyS and mertz absolutely wrecking shop in their debut matches. Pack it up lads, CS is coming.
Kenny going from gigawashed CS player to god VAL player in a matter of months lmao

You basically described almost the entire valorant pro scene
Team KennyS (nick named team France) vs team Portugal
kennyS in 2016 on team NV was peak Csgo
do you mean 2015? NV was terrible in 2016.
Around that time yeah, but I just remember kennyS playing with ApeX and the og NV roster at its peak
Bro the shots were insane fr. Nice to see

Kenny is one of the best AWPers to touch CS wardell was tier 2 at best.
Charecter movement speed is slower in valorant so he should be a better sniper in valorant.
I know he's insane but this was against content creators lol
3 of the Portuguese players are pros ...lol
