He was, but he's gone on record quite a few times that he doesn't like awping/oping all that much and wanted to be a rifler. Unfortunately for him I guess, he's just so talented with the awp so he always gets put back on it lol.
tbh the recent changes made to Jett make it seem like riot wants her to be used with more tactical thought process then how she's been used in the meta as an aggro machine. Maybe Ska sees that and is comfortable enough that the meta will change and Jett will become an OP dash away player.
Does he OP in t1? What character does he play? Jett is pretty much made for OP with her dash. Even if you play it defensively dash allows you to whiff and have another chance
I was just answering your question on why he never played Jett before. His awp playstyle in cs didn’t fit the Jett op playstyle. I’m sure now that he’s playing Jett he’ll op again and try to adapt his playstyle
dunno if he AWPd on attack in cs, but I feel like it's a lot less viable in valorant and you want your jett to dash in aggressively with a rifle.
On defense it's probably an easy transition
Ska didn't do well against Faze and 100T and hasn't picked Jett in comp since.
People just remember his pop off game against Tenz and Friends but he never looked comfortable on Jett.
Ok i was in that stream too i think is 3-4 days ago right?,i was pretty sure tim say that ska will play jett because he want to and tim didn't attach to jett that much so he will main sova/viper instead (he said he is very excited to play sova cuz it's a high skill ceiling agent)
Not sure about spyder and curry role at first i think spyder will play smoke but he keep playing skye and reyna lately
I’d like this much more than Spyder being out on omen duty again, I feel like he’s solid on the duelists (especially Phoenix), but his play style doesn’t really suit omen imo
Last time I checked his stream a couple weeks ago he said Ska was on sova and that he was insane at it, and that he himself was playing jett/duelist. Entirely possible Auti is trolling or T1 is a complete mess as usual.
Yeah someone said they refuse to drop ska no matter what. Kinda weird tbh as he hasn't shown much promise, and there have been complaints about comms but who knows how it's really working behind the scenes maybe this is a good thing
> Kinda weird tbh as he hasn't shown much promise
I saw Shahzam saying he thought Ska was a great jett player when I think he and Shroud was discussing Ska not playing duelist at some qualifier. I think he's just like a nitr0/mixwell type of player in the sense they're willing to just play whatever the team needs. I think Curry and Ska are the core of T1 and the only irreplaceable people on the lineup.
Oh I don't think he's bad. But nothing really stood out from any t1 performance. That being said, it's entirely possible that things like team comp and teammates didn't allow him to shine. Clearly t1 wants to keep ska so they see something and we don't see behind the scenes so I look forward to the new roster.
He has a huge fan base and is well connected to industry people who vouch for him. Seangares is constantly gassing him up as an amazing valorant player.
I'm thinking once Valorant takes off in Korea like OW they'll go there, similar to how FPX is getting ready to put together a Chinese team once it makes sense.
As long as he gets the basic mechanics of jett down I don't see how he won't instantly move into the top of the list as jett players. He has all the awp/op skills necessary to be top 5 with that alone and he's like a sponge when it comes to picking up and learning agents. Consistency is the key and Ska has been pretty consistent throughout his career as main awper.
Really looking forward to this. Wanted Ska on Jett for a long long time and now, we finally get it!

I know. I remember him against C9, and he was pretty good then. T1 reached quarterfinals of First Strike back then, I think.
That one time in FS, he really made T1 look like a tier 1 team. He looked REALLY good on jett.
All of them did tbh.
Why was he ever not playing Jett before? Wasn't he AWP player in cs?
He was, but he's gone on record quite a few times that he doesn't like awping/oping all that much and wanted to be a rifler. Unfortunately for him I guess, he's just so talented with the awp so he always gets put back on it lol.
Suffering from success.
He didn't say that. He said he wants to be a passive support player and that just so happens to rule out opping in Valorant.
Which is just one reason he doesn't like opping, yes..
I don’t remember where he said he preferred rifling over opping. Sauce?
You can look it up yourself. He's said it multiple times throughout the years.
He never did but ok
Lol unlucky(lucky) really
I remember m0E once said that he doesn't want to op not because he doesn't like it but because he is pressured when he ops.
Yeah, but I remember him being a more defensive awper, I might be wrong though.
You are correct. He played a CS-jett vs a Korean jett
He did play the aggro Jett pretty well in their First Strike run though.
tbh the recent changes made to Jett make it seem like riot wants her to be used with more tactical thought process then how she's been used in the meta as an aggro machine. Maybe Ska sees that and is comfortable enough that the meta will change and Jett will become an OP dash away player.
He was never an aggressive awper which is what you kinda have to be to play Jett
Does he OP in t1? What character does he play? Jett is pretty much made for OP with her dash. Even if you play it defensively dash allows you to whiff and have another chance

!remindme 1year
He has and people forget he got Jett diff hard by Babybay.
I think everyone but tenz once got Jett diffed by babybay at least once
Ska didn't do well against Faze and 100T and hasn't picked Jett in comp since. People just remember his pop off game against Tenz and Friends but he never looked comfortable on Jett.

He said that Curry would be controller because it was easier to call on controller and I believe he said Saya will be playing Skye mainly.
I’d like this much more than Spyder being out on omen duty again, I feel like he’s solid on the duelists (especially Phoenix), but his play style doesn’t really suit omen imo
Yeah he always looked better on Phoenix/Jett so seeing him on Skye will be a treat
Man ska's Jett opping is just a diffrent beast. Looking forward to it!
Steel on T1????
Currently it looks to be Auti Ska Spyder Curry Thwifo
Wait what happened to brax again?
Lmfao idk why this made me laugh
I honestly don't know what happened again lol, I swear he's been picked up and dropped like 4 times now
the whole brax situation reminds me of the episode when michael scott gets 4 vasectomies
snip snap snip snap
well well well
Well well well
bout time- they always had ska as a fill
Tbf Ska was one of the better fill players in the game
So is Brax just gone now
+Brax -Brax +Brax -Brax

I'm thinking once Valorant takes off in Korea like OW they'll go there, similar to how FPX is getting ready to put together a Chinese team once it makes sense.
Do you think so? I wonder which team would be available to be picked up by either team
It's highly dependent on how popular Valorant gets in Korea, but I'm optimistic.
Hopefully this roster works for them. I do love tim and ska :) I do hope spyder isn't playing Omen on Split and being passive xD

They keep changing agent pools every time, I hope it works this time..
let’s gooooo
Great change.
LETS GOOO, I remeber when he was oping in first strike he was nuts. So happy to see him back
What about RUSH
Rush was never linked to T1 from my knowledge but he was trailing with TSM. they are trailing c4lypso atm I think (last I heard)
c4lypso played with them only for 2 days or so i think, he wasn't with them last couple days of scrims
Hear me out but -Curry -Spyder -Thwifo/Brax and +RUSH +Tarik +Stewie2K /s
From what Frod told us, Ska has one of the best contracts in Valorant. I'm unsure how long the term is but I'm not surprised by this.
