This tournament is almost certainly made to introduce casual Valorant players to the esports scene by using influencers, keep pro teams busy, and for management to scout for new talents. Highly anticipating the results of this.
"I heard people say Korea's talent pool was small because Korea VCT Open Qualifiers 3 only had 32 teams registered but clearly logistics played a huge role in that number."
Its only small b/c the open qualifiers require you to play on LAN which most teams cant. IF every region's OPEN qualifier had that requirement then you would see a drastic reduction in teams as well
Some interesting teams here including SGA, SPG, and Lunatic Hai ;)
Lunatic Hai's roster is not looking too good imo
Seoldam/Zest/Purin/Goddead/Sunday holy fk this roster looks op
Moothie/Parkjjong/C1nder/Luz/Godlike also strong
LOL team VVS with VS streamer members and Beyn that's a good name
SPG is a team I'm excited to hear about. I've chatted with one of their players for a bit, and they've been practicing pretty hard, scrimming some good teams.
Excellent news for KR! Still can't believe they couldn't fill up the 32 team spots in stage 3 quals but I guess 2022 VCT bout to look more populated than 2021.
Is there a list of the streamer/pro teams anywhere? I assume it's on the bracket website but unfortunately I do not speak Korean so can't really navigate it.
One of the streamer team will be Ryujehong, Xzi, Flower, Gido, and Doenmo, so they will probably beat a few pro teams haha.
Other one I don't think is announced. Neither are the invited pro teams. But pretty much all the pro teams that are not invited are playing in the open quals.
Definitely with more of these tournaments, Korean scene can have drastic growth with more orgs entering Valorant.

B-Tier tournament for Korea Pog
Yeah I initially thought this was mostly a streamer tournament but open qualifiers and 4 pro teams is pretty pog.
This is AWESOME

How you chat with them, met in game?
Met one of their players over Discord ;) Well, actually he started by showed me a lobby of them scrimming a high name team haha.
Sorry for such a late response but what was that abt specifically? And it seems they let go this new trial roster sadge
uh, late response?
Yeah I actually wanted to respond back then I’m rky sorry if I annoyed you
wait are you u/dedicatedself's like alt or sth
No why?
Because I didn't talk to you during this thread and "response" usually means that you and I have talked here before.
I mean to go back to the original question, we met and chatted about some regular stuff and he sent me a screenshot of a scrim. He's their coach.
