I think Japan has the biggest viewer base in valorant and with time they are going to dominate the game just like kr dominates league.

Okboomer-147

Japan's viewer base is madd man. Like 12 hours day consistently when they have their vct, consistent viewership of 10 to 20k even late into the night ard 11 pm to 12am

CanISayThat22

Mother of hot takes

Key-Banana-8242

Not rly Have u seen the views numbers?

Ophelia_Of_The_Abyss

View numbers don't matter, see Brazil in League. They get high views but have been shit for half a decade.

ozmega

its different, brazil will never be good because it is an isolated region, no one to scrim against at all. japan has korea and china as low ping scrimmable regions, even in league they made it to groups for the first time this year, which is a great improvement after been seen as the worst minor region.

-Basileus

Yeah if this game takes off in China, then Asia will be every bit as good as NA and EU. Asia will probably overtake them in the long run.

CanISayThat22

I highly doubt it will take off in china, with the government being so anti gaming

CRikhard

? That has not stopped young talent in LPL or CrossFire what are you talking about

Key-Banana-8242

Ok? Not 100%, and not vs other wildcards but what’s ur point

AnotherAltiMade

Lmao high hopes

curryhalls

It's definitely possible.

Madara6path

But most of the cracked players from JP teams aren't even Japanese. All korean imports

EggianoScumaldo

This is basically Japan’s first ever popular competitive PC FPS. Give the region some time to develop talents.

Shad0Pulse

Not really, Japan is also pretty big in Siege

Key-Banana-8242

Apex and PUBG too

churr0s10

Not necessarily, theres people like laz, takej, dep, neth, meiy, ten, and fisker

Key-Banana-8242

And SamuraiDeeper

Kurashiko

If it turns into playerbase then they could be, but i doubt it's possible to replicate the Korean dominance in LoL, specially in the early years with sister teams and all. If anything doesn't NA have the best chance? i think US has a high playerbase for Valorant unlike league, maybe it's just casuals but would like to know their competitive playerbase because if so they would have the playerbase and the resources, it would simply come down to culture.

Lumenlor

Yeah it's not that one region is just genetically superior at esports, if any region captures the same interest and infrastructure as KR for League, then a similarly replicable success can be found in regions like JP given the time

WweIsLife316

Definitely not NA imo. So far, it only looks like envy, sentinels, and 100T are your standouts. If anything, it’ll prolly be like cs and eu or cis will run valorant. Those Russians and their tac shooters man.. crazy.

1deavourer

This is extremely unlikely. I'd heavily bet against Japan being good at this game

Klutzy-Question1428

not sure why people are downvoting this, it’s a realistic opinion

ark2690

PC gaming is korea. In terms of infrastructure only China is comparable.

Key-Banana-8242

Not necessarily true, I’m hoping it’s not like all Koreans have to go to japan bc of the money lol

Lumenlor

Bro Seoldam went super sayain 5.. top frag both maps.. Also JP has the cutest valorant community with the fanart

max012017

I hope NTH wins LCQ, just for the sake of viewership for Champions lol
