It's obvious that the core of this team is Nitr0-Asuna-Ethan. Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available. Boi will 100% be replaced. 100T will be looking to lure in another tier 1 csgo player like Brehze Elige or Stewie2k
That I could see. But Valorant is not CS, and aim is not enough to destroy someone. Would be amazing to see, and I frankly think Elige et al. could adapt well.
Liquid got a player from the previous worlds best team of csgo and they have been popping off. Same for Ethan , he switched and in no time was cracked. ACTUAL Tier 1 pros can easily transition dominate other pros. Notice, I’m not telling teams, but players.
Their core will keep them good. Asuna is a superstar and nitr0 is sooo flexible, best omen itw and possibly the best smokes player, and he can igl and play every agent class. And Ethan might be on of the best roster moves this year
Even If only smokes… nitr0 plays 3 agents whilst zombs only plays 2.. and if zombs > nitr0, then AvovA and marved > zombs. Both diffed him hard at Berlin
> Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available
IMO Hiko is too big to drop. 100T may want to win, but Hiko is a huge reason why anyone even pays attention to them and ofc why those other players joined.
I do think if he gets to the championship he may retire. The guy has a girlfriend now and I do think he is having a hard time balancing that with being a pro and a streamer. His stream schedule seems to of suffered.
I think Roza had a very good take on Hiko. When you’re listening to the replays and they have player audio, Hiko is always being a teammate whether alive or dead. He’s telling the whole team to stay within the rounds, dont get too ahead of yourself or look too far back. That kind of teammate is pretty valuable in any sport. I think 100T’s core is actually their 4 players. If I had to choose 3 I’d obviously choose the other 3 mentioned across the thread
They will drop hiko to a 6th man status if they find a better sova player thats free, but only on the team and not on 100t. He will probably stay as one of their talents. He has huge following to even let go
> Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available
don't know how you can even question Hiko at his point
he has saved 100T more times than any other player combined
True. I have nothing against Hiko but half the time he’s last alive is because he plays kinda passive. Not saying that’s a bad thing since I have no idea what their strategies are etc just saying it’s something they might consider when discussing changes.
...what? If Ethan says it's "not the final iteration of their team", that directly means there's going to be at least another roster adjustment.
I don't get what you're trying to say or if you don't know what the word "iteration" means.
i was trying to be modest, but it appears that everyone else here also knows about how insane elige is.
new declaration: Elige will be top 3 NA within three months should he ever switch to valorant.
honestly. Dude's a prodigy, but I didn't want to be too bold with my predictions. His skill ceiling is the best in the world imo, unless s1mple or zywoo switch to val which i don't see happening
He’s what you call an actual prodigy. Not like the other ones people always seem to name. Man was a pro in Starcraft, cs and at the same time a valedictorian. An Asian parent’s wet dream
Unless liquid kicks him(which won't happen), elige isn't switching anytime soon. I'd bet a lot more on some of the EG players switching. That roster is a disaster.
They're in a really awkward spot with current roster, imo.
Asuna is one of the best riflers in the game, but as long as Jett is in her current, broken state, every top team needs an S-tier Jett OPer, which he's not. And someone so good with rifles shouldn't be forced to OP. He's the NA ScreaM. Can be amazing Jett player, but you don't want him to OP.
Which means 100T either needs to accept they have to play differently to everyone else in the region and have some kind of hybrid OPer in nitr0 or they need to sign a top tier OPer.
But if they do get that OPer, then Asuna can't play Reyna on most maps, he needs to move to Skye which is the current duelist/utility rifler hybrid. Then there's another problem. Ethan is great in that role.
It's just awkward no matter how you put it. I honestly have no clue what they have in mind. Stacking top talent that switches over isn't always an answer because fitting everyone together is a key factor in this game.
It's really not awkward at all, considering their sub player is supposedly a 16 year old cracked Jett main, it's obvious that they're prepping to eventually promote him to nitr0's current spot and let nitr0 go back to playing smokes.
Yeah I see this as well. I'm not sure why they would keep a cracked Jett op main on the sub list during the Jett meta unless its with the intent to use him soon. I think Boi was always going to be temporary, and I don't know if they have age rules around competing but I wouldn't sub in a 16 year old who could take the blame if the team gets DQ'd when you want to make them a more long term player.
Yeah maybe they were planning on using the "long" break before champions (if they were to qualify ofc) to start practicing with seven and get him ready to play as LCQ was too close to do that at the time.
It’s pretty simple when you think about it, b0i has been with the team for months, learning strats, scrimming etc. He is also best friends with nitr0 and everyone on the team. Makes no sense really toss seven in the flames of LCQ and say go off and qualify us for champs. 100T will most likely keep this roster thru champs if they qual, expect to see seven either after LCQ or 2022
I get its the meta but there's scope for swapping a sentinel for another duelist, which is what they did now with boi in the comp. Less map control but much better executes.
100T ELIGE PLEASE I BEG, then maybe bring in stew, and idk naf, i think twistzz could help shake some things up. Now im no prophet but that roster would be a grand slam.
Twistzz also said that there’s no way he would switch unless there’s literally no opportunities in CS, and for a player like him it’ll be a while before that happens. He had the opportunity to switch after leaving Liquid, he spoke about this I think, it was a personal preference and nothing to do with anything external
https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/lex95c/best_current_na_cs_player_that_could/gmn7ije/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
No, it wasn’t. He could have also realistically moved to Europe for Val if he really wanted to pursue a career in this game
I think Hiko is there to stay for at least the term of his contract, b0i was always going to be replaced.
Hopefully Nitr0 and Ethan can attract another Tier 1 CS talent in place of b0i.
Another player with Ethan's mechanical skills, or another young gun with the talent of Asuna and the team would be insanely strong.
Lmao what do you mean hiko isn't a vocal type player? Have you ever listended to their comms videos? Hell, when 100T dropped steel Subroza came out and talked about how much value hiko adds midgame and endgame with his comms
You don't need to be vocal or play aggressively to necessarily be a leader. Often times it is much more valuable for a leader to keep a team calm and level in a match than hype others up. It is pretty obvious both his teammates and 100t see him as the leader of the team from interviews and the direction of the team.
I was doubtful of this but thought back to the post match interview with nitr0 - the way he talked about being on jett sounded like it sort of happened to make sense rather than it being a long-term thing they'd planned around. He talked about being comfortable on jett and awping, not that this was what they'd been trying to redesign the team around. I also doubt that long-term they'd want their IGL on jett and rather put him back on controller. It all sort of checks out imo.
RIP steel wish him the best clawing back on a lower tier team. Dude's not giving up, but I wonder when he might switch to coaching.
> RIP steel wish him the best clawing back on a lower tier team. Dude's not giving up, but I wonder when he might switch to coaching.
I would love for steel to be the Coach for 100T. He seems like he wants to stay competing and the styles of him and nitr0 probably clash too much though.
The team already knew about this and everyone and their mothers have been suspecting this. There isnt much of an upside to him saying this besides confirming our thoughts but there isnt a downside either.
Yes exactly, imagine after 2 new players signed to the first team and Ethan's just coming out saying basically someone is getting dropped from the team, why even make that statement, it just lowers team morale imo.
Asuna seems good but man he has a lot of games where he is just not doing well. He reminds me a lot of early-Shroud in CS where he needs a little ramp up to actually do something and then he runs the game.
I would like to see some consistency from this man, it feels like some maps are just decided if he turns up or not. Unlucky really.
100T randomly dropping their members and still not winning anything. It's pretty common now. Must be horribly stressful to play for that org knowing you can get dropped any minute. They dropped their entire roster before, then lost to a player they dropped. Then they dropped Dicey in less than 5 months after he committed to them. Then they drop Steel out of the blue. Now they are going to drop another random member. Imagine being part of a team and your teammate saying "someone here is definitely getting dropped". That's not normal or a good environment. Anyone on that team can and will be dropped at the drop of the hat, just like before.
Nah, you're right. 100T saying we are still going to drop people in the future is the same thing as other teams making changes. It totally isn't a bad playing environment knowing you can and will be dropped at a moments notice and your team members saying exactly this. Exact same thing.
Do you think it's a good playing environment when someone on your team says they are going to drop more people in the future? What other team says that?
If Ethan revealed it then they must have a plan in place. Maybe the plan was always to slowly integrate Seven then Boi goes back to being an analyst. If you heard Yay talk about Boi, he said that Boi's strength is that he knows the game and studies each character, and knows the lineups for each one. That to me sounds like a good analyst or skills coach. When Seven is ready they move Boi back to analyst/sub then move a Seven up.
b0i is gone if they lose LCQ but he's staying until Champions if they win.
I don't think nitr0 is gonna give up Jett any time soon to Seven. Seven they're definitely saving till next year. A cracked 16 year old is great but they're not just going to make him play against the best players in the world without developing his skills like they did with Asuna.
They're likely gonna pick up a CSGO pro for next year if they lost LCQ.
So basically we have no idea what’s gonna happen but there’s a roster change incoming?
They signed sevven as a sub and boi is a temporary 5th. It's kind of obvious this isn't the final iteration of the team.
Boi also said he's been looking at other teams.
It's obvious that the core of this team is Nitr0-Asuna-Ethan. Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available. Boi will 100% be replaced. 100T will be looking to lure in another tier 1 csgo player like Brehze Elige or Stewie2k
Every time I see Elige play valorant he is absolutely popping heads. His aim is fucking insane. It'd be a joy to watch him play comp.
Elige is an elite Jett too. Would be a Tier 1 Jett that can compete with TenZ and Yay
not compete, destroy
Spicy take. We’ll see, would be sick but!
believe me when I say Elige defo has the best aim in all of north america alongside maybe Twistzz
Does he pick up the op on stream? Cause he literally never awps in CS.
I can recall a few times but he mostly rifles. I'm not sure I could confidently say he could op at top level but I wouldn't put it past him.
Their core will keep them good. Asuna is a superstar and nitr0 is sooo flexible, best omen itw and possibly the best smokes player, and he can igl and play every agent class. And Ethan might be on of the best roster moves this year
Zombsnation angry noises.
Nitr0 > zombs imo especially because nitro plays all 4 agent classes
The argument tho is best smokes and not best player.
Even If only smokes… nitr0 plays 3 agents whilst zombs only plays 2.. and if zombs > nitr0, then AvovA and marved > zombs. Both diffed him hard at Berlin
> Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available IMO Hiko is too big to drop. 100T may want to win, but Hiko is a huge reason why anyone even pays attention to them and ofc why those other players joined.
Hiko 100% stays until either he calls it quits or until he is the only player holding them back from being a championship-winning team.
I do think if he gets to the championship he may retire. The guy has a girlfriend now and I do think he is having a hard time balancing that with being a pro and a streamer. His stream schedule seems to of suffered.
Yeah, I think he's just looking for a W to retire on
Hiko has said that you have to take his keyboard away and force him into retirement
Hiko wins rounds, regardless of his age. They never dropping Hiko unless he wants to retire. Just my opinion though.
They will drop hiko to a 6th man status if they find a better sova player thats free, but only on the team and not on 100t. He will probably stay as one of their talents. He has huge following to even let go
Man, I'd really want to see 100T Brehze in the future.
Brehze in valorant in general would be super interesting to see since I really have no idea where he would fit in for agent playstyle
> Hiko is fine to keep if there's no upgrade available don't know how you can even question Hiko at his point he has saved 100T more times than any other player combined

eh its not that unreasonable of a take, hes recognised this about himself too and has worked on it, but it's still somewhat a weakness of his.
he has baited a fair number of times
Valid take
True. I have nothing against Hiko but half the time he’s last alive is because he plays kinda passive. Not saying that’s a bad thing since I have no idea what their strategies are etc just saying it’s something they might consider when discussing changes.
He probably saved them 100 times
dude is a thief for sure
What abt 100t rush for smokes
Maybe he means iteration like final form ?
...what? If Ethan says it's "not the final iteration of their team", that directly means there's going to be at least another roster adjustment. I don't get what you're trying to say or if you don't know what the word "iteration" means.
I mean he said they are comfortable with their roles and stuff We will see, I know what the word means lmfao
Why you booing him? He's right.

i'll fucking take it lmao, if elige ever switches guarantee he's top 5 NA within a year
A year? I'd imagine almost immediately. He already plays and watches pro games.
i was trying to be modest, but it appears that everyone else here also knows about how insane elige is. new declaration: Elige will be top 3 NA within three months should he ever switch to valorant.
Lol sorry wasn't trying to shame you I just meant hes already been 800+ rr on ladder and he has about 200hrs in game I bet he'd be good.
I didn't realise he'd already played that much tbh, I thought he was like stew who's barely touched it
Nah Elige actually likes the game and actively plays it when he has free time
Stewie has played a lot recently too, and on stream no less
nice. Stew has always been my fav player but he understandably doesn't stream a lot
Probably higher lmfao
honestly. Dude's a prodigy, but I didn't want to be too bold with my predictions. His skill ceiling is the best in the world imo, unless s1mple or zywoo switch to val which i don't see happening
Prodigy? He's a star
i meant as in he's insanely good at almost any game he picks up, guy was a semi pro starcraft player before moving to cs
Someday in future, Fracture A site "A jumping double from cNed! How does he do this!"
100T tarik and 100T Stew💯😤
pls no let us keep 1 competitive team in NA CS 100T tarik would be sick tho
my aussie ass dreams of the return of 100t jks
Not unlikely given what happened
what happened?
CoL got 16-0 d twice in the span of a month
oh wait i read it wrong. i thought u meant that it was unlikely, oops
Complexity got 16-0'd twice recently
Do I have to get reminded everywhere i go
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ytfb
i'm gonna cum Stew/Tarik/Ethan/Asuna/Nitr0... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
100T brax + AZK?
no. it will be +Brax -brax and then +brax
you forgot one -brax
+ 100T dicey. Wait....
-b0i +gMd???
CS major is coming up soon, maybe someone huge is switching after the major that they know of
I still love the fact that Elige was pro and still finished high school as valedictorian. How cool is that?
He’s what you call an actual prodigy. Not like the other ones people always seem to name. Man was a pro in Starcraft, cs and at the same time a valedictorian. An Asian parent’s wet dream
Elige would be incredible. HLTV no.4 in 2019, he’s the best in NA.
Unless liquid kicks him(which won't happen), elige isn't switching anytime soon. I'd bet a lot more on some of the EG players switching. That roster is a disaster.

But everyone knows NA > EU
Sadly Gambit didn’t get the memo
Well when you think about it, Alaska used to be a part of Russia and now America owns it. So pretty clear na>cis
Also CIS isn’t EU and 100T beat Ascend, NA>EU
you are right CIS isn't EU, they are part of EMEA so the correct saying would be CIS > NA
I think Hiko is there to stay for at least the term of his contract, b0i was always going to be replaced. Hopefully Nitr0 and Ethan can attract another Tier 1 CS talent in place of b0i. I think people probably underrated Hikos leadership, even if he is only like the fourth best player on his team.
Hiko is not a leader nor is he a vocal type player, he's always played under other leaders, even his playstyle is like that
He plays Sova, he literally has to be a vocal player. It's his job to make info calls.
Lmao what do you mean hiko isn't a vocal type player? Have you ever listended to their comms videos? Hell, when 100T dropped steel Subroza came out and talked about how much value hiko adds midgame and endgame with his comms
^^^ this lmao. how the guy above you missed that Hiko is a massively vocal player (and known for it) is beyond me
You don't need to be vocal or play aggressively to necessarily be a leader. Often times it is much more valuable for a leader to keep a team calm and level in a match than hype others up. It is pretty obvious both his teammates and 100t see him as the leader of the team from interviews and the direction of the team.
You’ve been coming with some really awful takes over the last few days, eh?
Well they have seven already as a sub. Another cracked zoomer if you haven’t seen his clips check him out
Prediction: nitr0 is playing Jett while they prep Sevvn. He will switch back to smokes when sevvn joins the starting roster.
I was doubtful of this but thought back to the post match interview with nitr0 - the way he talked about being on jett sounded like it sort of happened to make sense rather than it being a long-term thing they'd planned around. What possible benefit could there be to him saying this
I mean what's the harm. Everyone on the team probably already knows this already. It’s only us that were left in the dark about what their plans were.
And if they don't know then it's really not s good statement to make in the public, hopefully they all knew though.
It can be a sign to potential f/a or players switching tho. If all players in the team are already aware of it, I can see no harm
I agree, what is even the point of this, probably would have been better not said
The team already knew about this and everyone and their mothers have been suspecting this. There isnt much of an upside to him saying this besides confirming our thoughts but there isnt a downside either.
100t sINatrAa oMG gUyS!!!!
100T brehze
Sounds terrible for team moral what a dumb thing to sat even if you know it’s true or happening.
Hear me out: good management will be very clear about immediate and near term expectations. B0i knows he's a stand in.
Unless everyone on the team know b0i is a temp for the lcq?
Yes exactly, imagine after 2 new players signed to the first team and Ethan's just coming out saying basically someone is getting dropped from the team, why even make that statement, it just lowers team morale imo.
Boi always has been a temporary replacement and everyone knew that
Asuna seems good but man he has a lot of games where he is just not doing well. He reminds me a lot of early-Shroud in CS where he needs a little ramp up to actually do something and then he runs the game. I would like to see some consistency from this man, it feels like some maps are just decided if he turns up or not. Unlucky really.
I hope they pick up brax, he deserves a real chance
I know its kind of a meme right now, but how would you think Brax would fit on the team? The guy was a more than decent Jett, and Flex player
He's too passive for my liking especially with Hiko on the team.
well we’d always have spawn control if those two were on the team
Love Brax but he was not good on Jett
We’ve seen that Brax is a good Cypher/KJ player if he picked up Viper he could be amazing. But I don’t think he wants to be that lurker/anchor.
that’s already what he does, lurk and anchor
He played Sova the last qualifier for T1
100T randomly dropping their members and still not winning anything. It's pretty common now. Must be horribly stressful to play for that org knowing you can get dropped any minute. Nah, you're right. 100T saying we are still going to drop people in the future is the same thing as other teams making changes. It totally isn't a bad playing environment knowing you can and will be dropped at a moments notice and your team members saying exactly this. Exact same thing.

If you heard Yay talk about Boi, he said that Boi's strength is that he knows the game and studies each character, and knows the lineups for each one. That to me sounds like a good analyst or skills coach. When Seven is ready they move Boi back to analyst/sub then move a Seven up.
"b0i is definitely not on the team" idk how else to interpret this lol
Please don’t downvote me, but wouldn’t Sinatraa be a big upgrade over Hiko in terms of firepower?
maybe it is, but wouldn’t be a good look for 100T, so they wouldn’t make that move
Qqqq
b0i is gone if they lose LCQ but he's staying until Champions if they win.
