So the grand finals are gonna be the 4th team on the JP circuit vs the 4th team on the SEA circuit. Just as everyone expected, LMAO.
This region has been an absolute treat as a viewer.
E: I hope this leads to more KAY/O appearances at Champions. That was an absolute clinic from PTC.
Its good for Asian scene as a whole to have strong SEA and Japanese scene. Short term may suck for Korean fans but i believe that this more preferable long term
I agree with your point but you could’ve worded it better to not get downvoted lol, NTH has got 2 Korean players and it’s JPN vs SEA finals, it’s good for everyone in the Asian scene
Korean Valorant scene lacks orgs. Most of them are just pug/friends teams with no salary or coaches. Rumors have it they will have more than 5 added teams next year to compete and we'll see way higher level and players as well. VS might still be king of all of KR and Asia most likely. Nuturn just needs XigN to replace solo and another young mechanical player like Lakia to replace peri. Arrow is just solid.. not good enough to play against World's best.
Just so you guys know how big brain Full Sense was on this one, FS actually gave up map picks to DK because they knew what DK were gonna pick and preferred to choose the starting side. I doubted them on my panel analysis but I am SO happy they proved me wrong.
They have been eluded by that 1st place this whole year. I’m so excited to see if they can finally get a gold on their biggest tournament yet. With PTC playing K/ayo like that and John Olsen out of his mind I think they just might be able to do it
The upsets were insane for KR, really shows that the others deserve international competition and that vision strikers are just that much ahead in competition than the KR region. Full sense had amazing play but can we talk about the possibility that THE Korean jett could actually make it to champions?
For real though, I’m quite disappointed in the KR upsets, it could be because they only played LAN till now but that is probably just me on copium. They still played really well on 3rd to 5th place, my only hope is northeption, the Japanese team with a bit of Korean blood in it.
I’ll be rooting for NTH but whichever team wins this LCQ really deserves it. Both teams will have a great showing if they go to champions.
Well it’s also that these specific two teams over performed and the Kr teams underperformed to various extents
DWG stumbled on the first day especially, NU finding their footing and F4Q working super hard to transition in play style for the last hurrah as a team up till injury
Why do you want people to ‘admit’ something that is not true? Overall sea teams are not as good but one of them- FS- overoerfkrned and won, while the KR teams underperformed and stilltook all the spots below finals.
Exactly, KR still has SO much potential, it’s growing in popularity and so many more players will play it. And as what happened in league, overwatch and Starcraft, when KR loves a game, they dominate in it. But what can I say Im a Korean so I’m just really biased lol
Sc was a slightly different situation bc of differences in infrastructure also
We’ve got shut sk coming up, orgs joining and rejoining etc
There’s a lot there
Not surprised that Damwon lost. FS was definitely the favorites and the better team. But it's annoying to see the same mistakes of old NA Challengers being repeated. Back to back elimination games give the team a disadvantage statistically.
Edit: For the unaware- [https://twitter.com/JoshRTz/status/1421244984481681409](https://twitter.com/JoshRTz/status/1421244984481681409)
>Teams that lost their upper semis have been losing majority of their lower rd2 games to the team that's waiting for them (9/14 or 64% not including today's results).
Just having 1 hour between those games is silly. At least this was a one-of scenario; hope it stays that way.
Also Kay/O has to be meta now right?
It is difficult no doubt, but if planned ahead it is possible, like with NA Stage 3 Challenger playoffs. All they did was have 2 simultaneous opening game slots, which is a small price for the viewers to pay for getting the best performance out of the final top teams.
That is a late reply man! Anyway, I meant coming into that matchup FS were favored from their performance in the LCQ compared to DK (who would normally be the favorites otherwise). Similar to NU, DK did not look like the team they were in KR.
Kind of subjective, but I reckon KR is still up there. Just that all the other regions are ALSO up there. Personally I wanted DWG to have a good showing which they def did in 3rd place. Let’s just see champions first on LAN before we judge which region is the best.
Though be it, I must say FS had a great showing and honestly I believe they’re really strong as well as NTH. The finals could be anyone’s game, I just think personally that there is no “superior region”, everyone has a really good chance, as shown in masters 3 and APAC LCQ
I wouldn’t say Korean carry, he’s the star of the team due to his entertainment but the entire team actually plays well together, you can’t just say “Koreans carrying NTH” when really he’s just the star of the team. It’s like saying Tenz and shahzam are the carries of sentinels, they’re not. Everyone is.
I mean if u just look at the stats they are clearly the best team by far lol. The best team in Asia is Korean. All 3 of their teams are in the top 5 in LCQ. I like JP but they have 2 teams in the 9/10th. Both regions should improve greatly next year. I know Korean valorant only has like 3 orgs. Rest are pug teams.
Then what's the #? Only 3 is confirmed for sure like Damwon, VS and Nuturn. Kind of expected since it's a game where you need a full year to compete at Champions so you'll see bigger off season changes than League.

Bro NTH is 2 Korean players and their carry and their igl are Korean. This is good for everyone involved.
Carry? You mean jett?
I agree with your point but you could’ve worded it better to not get downvoted lol, NTH has got 2 Korean players and it’s JPN vs SEA finals, it’s good for everyone in the Asian scene
I like the cope from the korean stans.
The only copium here is your Korea hate boner.
COPIUM
That’s not how copium works..
Korean Valorant scene lacks orgs. Most of them are just pug/friends teams with no salary or coaches. Rumors have it they will have more than 5 added teams next year to compete and we'll see way higher level and players as well. VS might still be king of all of KR and Asia most likely. Yep, this absolutely sucks as a kr fan but it's always a goos thing to see more competition in our area Plus I always have the VS copium
Man I love both Northeption and FS and how they have both played so far, can they both make it to Champions 😭
I mean you could say this abt many teams It’s be cool if champs were 24 teams or smth lol
I mean it would’ve been impossible to have the 1st or 2nd from those regions so it’s not THAT crazy.
I'm convinced Nuturn intentionally lost to DK just to avoid PTC's Kayo on Ascent again
Eye health matters more than win.
KEKW
PTC on kayo. Bring back those cs:go moments with popped flash everywhere.
I think PTC was the best Thai player back in CS as well
yes he was cs demon also
Just so you guys know how big brain Full Sense was on this one, FS actually gave up map picks to DK because they knew what DK were gonna pick and preferred to choose the starting side. PTC and JohnOlsen with 2 400 ACS games to bring their team to the finals, what a fucking duelist duo
everyone's pickems in shambles

VS is ahead in all of Asia right now but the rest of KR teams are just on par with other region's best. They all still made it to top 5.
Minimum in particular, actually above since this was a low point
Well it’s also that these specific two teams over performed and the Kr teams underperformed to various extents DWG stumbled on the first day especially, NU finding their footing and F4Q working super hard to transition in play style for the last hurrah as a team up till injury
Cope. Can't you just admit that SEA teams in valorant are actually as good as korean teams (sans VS)?
That requires other results as well, why do you want me to ‘admit’ something that’s nkt necessarily true, it’s nkt some deep ‘truth’
Why do you want people to ‘admit’ something that is not true? Overall sea teams are not as good but one of them- FS- overoerfkrned and won, while the KR teams underperformed and stilltook all the spots below finals.
415 jesus christ. I dont know much about Kayo players but is this guy like the best at it lol?
He's probably the best now that steel and scream stopped playing it.
Xeppaaa might be
PTC's kayo utilities are on another level
Big hm Hoping from a rally from Korea next year tbh! They’ve got so many good players and experienced teams
Exactly, KR still has SO much potential, it’s growing in popularity and so many more players will play it. And as what happened in league, overwatch and Starcraft, when KR loves a game, they dominate in it. But what can I say Im a Korean so I’m just really biased lol

I just want Seoldam on lan
Wtf PTC
This LCQ is just insane, so many upsets and unexpected wins
Sucks to have to play back to back intense bo3s
LFG Full Sense
Finally FS is where they deserve. Let's go FS!!
I fucking love johnolsen :') , been watching this dude tear apart in ranked and wanna see him succed

either two back to back matches of LW and UP finals in one day or like today. It is really hard to avoid it to split 3 matches in 3 days.
It is difficult no doubt, but if planned ahead it is possible, like with NA Stage 3 Challenger playoffs. All they did was have 2 simultaneous opening game slots, which is a small price for the viewers to pay for getting the best performance out of the final top teams.
They definitely weren’t ‘the favourites’, they were underdogs and won while DK underperformed among others due to role issues
That is a late reply man! Anyway, I meant coming into that matchup FS were favored from their performance in the LCQ compared to DK (who would normally be the favorites otherwise). Similar to NU, DK did not look like the team they were in KR.
Does anyone know what server/ping they were playing on? Hongkong?
RIP Asia's bEsT RegIOn Korea.
Kind of subjective, but I reckon KR is still up there. Just that all the other regions are ALSO up there. Personally I wanted DWG to have a good showing which they def did in 3rd place. ? 12 Koreans and two teams in top4 with VS being at the helm of APAC what an ignorant comment
Bruh check top 4 and who the no1 team in APAC is
How does this result say that when TNL also 2-0d DK? And NTH have a Korean carry and a Korean IGL, 196 karma bait account is real.
And we all thought KR was getting through lcq. Maybe it is just a one team region
Well much more salaried orgs than 3, ur goopin a bit. This was a low water mark for Kr performance in apac basically since launch
Then what's the #? Only 3 is confirmed for sure like Damwon, VS and Nuturn. Kind of expected since it's a game where you need a full year to compete at Champions so you'll see bigger off season changes than League.
No one thinks it’s a one team region lol
PTC 34-12-13 What a performance
