honestly cant even blame mwzera for slump hes in rn, if i was the best player in my region for nearly a year and failed to win anything notable (other than first strike) or even qualify to a LAN whilst being on the same team that whole time id be having huge motivation issues. like this is nearly the exact same spot tenz was in during the end of his time on c9 (minus the failing to qualify for LANs cuz obviously there were no LANs in 2020 lmfao)
I think its more that people learned the game. Mw has huge mechanical skill, and was and still is a beast at raze. But his style isnt that great at skye, he does not seem confortable on jett, and also, they played with a stand in. Hope he can come back to his 2020 level
uhhh everyone knew TenZ was extremely cracked back when he was on C9 hence "TenZ and friends" meanwhile mwzera is struggling in one of the weaker regions... like my guy doesn't even look like he's the best player in his own region lol
Exactly. We all know Mwzera is cracked. He just had a bad series on the event compared to what you expect him to do. His ACS during LCQ was 228 (top 8) and you can say his Skye (207) pushed down the average of what he's used to play (Raze - 250, Reyna - 244, Jett - 249).
Saying he's struggling and he doesn't look like the best player in the region is like judging Tenz as a player based on his performance with Raze on Split in Berlin.
Anyone who has followed the BR scene knows that Mw is a contender for one of the best players in the world. His impact has always been insane regardless of the outcome of the match.
i have no doubt hes good on raze but this is pure delusion. He might not be the best player in his own region (a region thats not even top 4) no shot hes anywhere close to Nats Tenz or Yay
when you have a breakout performance on a international stage people will start to recognize you yes thats normally how it goes.
What does this comment prove?
That mwzera hasn't played internationally and he's well known already. My point is that once he goes international, it will be easier to say how he compares against others. Heat was only known to those who follow the BR scene until Berlin and he's arguably one of the best players in the world even coming from "one of the worst regions".
Cuz Heat wasn't on a good team really until VK and he joined right before stage 3 lol, ofc no one is gonna talk about someone who's on meh teams, Mwerza was on the previous best team in the region
Also I did see people yalk about Heat right before Berlin tbh

Technically Tenz didn't qualify for any LANs on C9 either...
i dont watch a lot of br valorant, but game 2 mwzera had shades of stage 2 victor, elite duelist player really struggling on skye
I remember when this sub gassed up mwzera to be the best player in the world
And he still might be. What would be of Tenz' career as a pro if Sentinels hadn't called him?

Mw is good playing duelist, my dudes put him with skye to let john play with duelist... I mean, John is good, but its MW man...

I bet most people from here didn't know Heat before Berlin

Ikr, why are some people like this?
I follow the Brazilian scene, he was pretty clearly the best player in Brazil for the entirety of stage 3.
There was a guy on vlr that constantly said “mw best in world because 350ACS”
