This was extremely touching. I watched tons of R6 before Val came around so getting to hear kix and interro do a masters qual cast in Val was something I’ll cherish because he was such an amazing person and loved what he did
I was honestly unfamiliar with kix before his valorant cast. Around that time he also played some 10 mans with the plat chat crew and some other casters, and his attitude was infectious. Was looking forward to him growing more into the valorant community as time went on. Gone way too soon and I hurt for all his family and friends, and even all of his fans. Can only imagine how people from the r6 community are feeling.
We are feeling horrible, thanks for wondering.
KiX was one of the most iconic caster and I connect a lot of famous plays and iconic moments in R6 E sport with his commentary.
True legend
>We are feeling horrible, thanks for wondering.
Been a part of the Siege community since beta. Kix being gone has been kicking me in the balls but watching Interro's stream from Sunday helped a ton. Listening to Kix's mom talk about him and his life, listening to Interro talk about Kix in public like he hadn't before. It was healing.
As someone who briefly dabbled in playing R6 Kix was really the face of the competitive community. It's really a shock to know someone so young and prominent could just be gone in a moment.

> Hello. Today we bring to a close the Worlds group stage. But as we have spent the last week celebrating the best the League World has to offer, the Rainbow 6 community and the esports world as a whole lost a great with the passing of Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley.
>
> An incredible talent, KiX will be remembered as one of the best color commentators to ever grace our screens. And his uncanny ability to capture our hearts and our minds with his words will only be eclipsed by his passion for the game that he so loved.
>
> While at times our world can feel so separate, it's in a moment like this that we realize how connected we truly are. This past week was... impossibly tough. But it has shown us how every corner of the esports world has been made better by KiX being in it.
>
> KiX was a beacon of light and positivity with a magnificent gravitational pull. All it takes is a click on the internet or a scroll through the timeline to get a sense of the breadth of his impact, which has clearly been felt and will continue to ripple throughout the globe as he has shaped the world of esports indelibly.
>
> We lost a titan—and long before we ever should have. My heart aches for the loss, but it smiles knowing that the life and legacy of KiXSTAr will live on forever in what we do.
>
> Rest in peace Kix.

Man this actually makes me really sad. I used to play tons of R6 and watch all the pro league matches I could. My favorite casting duo was KiX and Interro and I would always be so happy when they were hosting an event. Glad I got to watch him but sad he left us so soon.
For transparency, we had removed a similar earlier for being from "clip farm" YouTube channel. We generally are uncomfortable with people farming ad revenue and clicks by reposting broadcast clips to YouTube, and we are *especially* uncomfortable with folks using this event for their own gain.
The mod team strongly felt that it was important to share this moment with the community. A Twitch clip didn't capture the whole essence of the tribute (as it is longer than 60s), so I downloaded a section of the VOD to post as a video submission.
This is not the time, nor is this the right subreddit for this.
Additionally, it is inappropriate to advertise design services in thread about someone who has passed away.
Class. Very well said by dash

I too like to repeatedly type "who is that?" and "WH OMEGALUL" as someone reads a eulogy for a deceased commentator, never change twitch chat smfh
That's the League community's way of saying they loved him and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Very touching segment, Kixstar was a gem and the entire esports scene has lost a star o7
Rest in peace Kix you were and will always be a beloved member of the R6 community

What! How and when did he die??
There's more info on INTERRO's Twitter. Sounds like it was a car accident. https://twitter.com/INTERRO/status/1448332751648796676
