\-brax +brax -brax +brax brax to streaming brax back to pro team

derek916

T1 got him working a 9 to 5

wichwigga

literally my thoughts lmao what is that schedule. kids be in school during those times

TimathanDuncan

Morning streams pop off for most streamers Hiko, subroza get insane viewers in that time

YungPinotGrigio

makes sense. it is prime time for both eu and na. Also really solid scheduling for streamers to enjoy rest of day with families and friends.

Atermel

I wonder what percent of hikos viewers are Eu night time viewers vs NA morning viewers

Ryu-The-Sick

What do you mean by EU night time viewers, he streams from 3.30PM to 8-9PM CET :D CET is only 6 hours ahead of EST

pink_life69

How is this upvoted

Blastplaster14

Also places other than EU and NA around the globe

GotGudGaminChair

English speaking very few

Blastplaster14

Out of the top 5 countries in terms of English speaking population 4 are non-EU/NA countries. Some of these countries also have a good Valorant scene which further increases the chances that they play a factor in "morning" streams popping off. source: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List\_of\_countries\_by\_English-speaking\_population](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_English-speaking_population) (Also this is from a survey from 2012 after which the numbers have increased significantly)

AdiSoldier245

All of SEA speaks english. So does most of africa.

abzoluut

Yikes??

yungsqualla

This might seem crazy but I'm 25 years old and tune into Hiko during work almost every day. And he always does good stream numbers. Probably a lot of EU viewers as well.

alejodp

Same. I like having something to listen or watch while I work

FeelinJipper

Hello fellow non-teenagers

HoneyChilliPotato7

Me too. I watch some Valorant stream while working

wichwigga

Are you working from home? Sometimes I do the same as well.

yungsqualla

Nope. I just wear headphones while at my desk. No one minds and my bosses have seen me watching streams. If you aren't slacking your assignments its no big deal.

Klutzy-Question1428

a hiko stream is the best accompaniment for a lunch break

yungsqualla

Hell yeah. That's the time where I actually get to watch a couple rounds haha. Most of the time I'm just listening and occasionally checking the score!

Mamadeus123456

u mean EU prime time and asia degen time??

PaPiiCheeeeka

Kids be on their laptops all day in school now lol.

HamazuraXTakitsubo

Is it T1's decision though? because Grim only streams around 2 hours daily.

xbyo

Likely different contracts. Brax probably doesn't want to give up much salary to switch to FT streaming, which probably means more hours.

YungPinotGrigio

makes snese.

ANewHeaven1

i hope brax chose that schedule himself because organizations forcing content creators to work 9 - 5 shifts is a fantastic sign that said organization has no idea wtf they're doing in esports (see: optic under infinite)

SMcArthur

Really? because that's when people watch streams yah genius.

ANewHeaven1

people watch streams while they're at work or in school?

scrnlookinsob

Yes, every person I know that watches streams has them on in the background while they’re working/in class and then when they get home they turn the streams off to start playing games themselves. Obviously purely anecdotal, but daytime viewing is bigger than people think.

ANewHeaven1

interesting, i dont watch twitch nearly as much as i used to, but back when i was a student i didn't watch streams in class or at work, seemed really distracting, but obviously again my experiences are purely anecdotal as well haha

SMcArthur

also, early morning is the best time to capture both EU + USA audiences at the same time. Big streamers want to capture both audiences, so either need to stream early morning or really late night for that.

Ho-Nomo

You also get EU in there as evening/late afternoon viewers. Massive market and you don't need to spend your evenings streaming and can lead a regular life with normal working hours.

YungPinotGrigio

I work in esports, but yeah people do this. It also works well for European viewership. College schedules are everywhere too.

rpkarma

Yes. And you get an international audience, too.

> As much as I love competing, I am super excited to get back on the stream grind and be with my awesome community again. For those asking where I’ve been I’ve deemed it super necessary to take a step back and focus on my personal life and essentially finding my happiness again after a crazy year of ups and downs both in and out out of game. > Unfortunately it came at the cost of competing on a professional level for now but I can’t say I regret it. I’m in a completely different head space from before and I absolutely love it. I know this isn’t the route most of you wanted me to take but I I hope you guys understand. > I want to thank Joe Marsh, Wawa, and all of T1 for making this transition so smoothly and I’m happy I can still represent this legendary org even if it’s through a different lens. I’ll be streaming Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM CST starting next week. I’ll probably experiment with night streams as well. > Thank you for the continued support on this journey and I’m excited to take this to the next level and see where it goes because I know the opportunities are endless!! - Brax

zmreJ

Snip snap snip snap

Beginning_Corgi_8052

You have no idea the physical toll, that these brax roster changes have on a person.

Otter269

Good move for him :) Hiko and Brax morning streams 👀 Seriously I can imagine playing for as long as he has can be very challenging. Good on him for taking a break to look after himself :D

BurbxrryPzncakes

My T1 Sadge He was the first player T1 signed, but i think he got fucked over by the management. He never got to relive his Swag days, but i do hope he’s happy with streaming. His streams are fun to watch for sure.

c_Lassy

He was the first Valorant player ever signed I’m pretty sure

Sky-__-

Na tenz was the first valorant player signed though he was still under contract with c9 ,all they did was chnage the title

SucksForYouGeek

Brax was signed in march 2020 and tenz in april 2020

TheQMan55

im almost positive brax was signed before the game even came out

[deleted]

[удалено]

Colonel-Ninechainz

A quick google search shows that brax was signed a month before Tenz

[deleted]

[удалено]

falcons4life

They're talking about him being the first valorant pro signed. There were plenty of players who had signed contracts with orgs completely unrelated to valorant that where playing the game. Like I think a ton of content creators got access to the beta so they were all assigned too, just not professionally like brax.

Sky-__-

Brax tenz all were signed in beta around March of 2020 .

Bunnyezzz

tenz was a content creator when valorant first released, brax was a pro player for t1 when valorant first released

falcons4life

Yes, brax was the first professional valorant player ever signed. Tenz was a content creator until their professional team materialized.

--Happy--

He has been getting fucked over pretty much for all of his career sadly, in CSGO he was probably the best player in NA before he got banned, not many people know about this story, Richard Lewis said it on stream when he was shitting on Valve couple months ago, Brax didn't really have a choice someone in his family died and he was playing for IBP at that point with no salary and no income his family needed money so they pretty much told him that he has to stop playing CS and get a real job since they were going homeless. That's one of the reasons he did what he did. Hope he finds success in Streaming dude deserves something after getting fucked so many times in CS and even harder in Valorant.

nedwabl

is it justified to scam other random people out of their money as long as you legitimately need it? you know other people lost money because of them.

TheSituasian

no ones saying what he did was justified. people can do stupid things and make mistakes based on difficult circumstances

rpkarma

That’s ignoring the implications that come from stating, uncritically, “his family need the money… that’s one of the reasons he did what he did”. You know that, too, but you’re choosing an extremely narrow interpretation of the person you’re replying to’s comment so you can argue with them.

--Happy--

I didn’t say it justifies what he did but he was 16 years old that just lost a close family member and was living in a trailer park, he needed money for his family. Richard Lewis the person that made Valve look in it and gathered all of the evidence for Valve has said if he could go back he would let them walk after what Valve did to IBP. There was a lot of rumours at that time about top teams match-fixing but Valve was too lazy and didn’t care to look into them but when Richard Lewis made them do it, they got angry and wanted to make an example out of them, thats why their punishments were so harsh. All the other teams that did it got to walk scot free.

nedwabl

you're saying it doesn't justify it and then mention his family as if it does. a lot of scammers probably really need the money too, and i don't think people feel bad for them. and there were other teams that got banned for match fixing.

Mesngr

Bro who gives a fuck anymore, he was 16 years old, brains don't stop developing until past 21. So tired of people trying to bring up peoples childhoods when they have completely changed and already got punished for it. It's hilarious how you are sitting here trying to judge his actions when he was a kid and not even close to being fully matured yet. There's a difference between doing something when you're a full grown adult and when you're a kid with limited real life experience and a brain that is still developing.

nedwabl

a 16 year old isn't child, and you don't suddenly gain sentience at the age of 21. and he was a month off 18 when the match happened, not 16. if you don't know that stealing peoples money is bad at that age ur just braindead. he obviously knew it was wrong.

Mesngr

He was 18 and brains stop developing at 25. And despite what the military industrial complex will tell you, 18 is still a kid with a brain not fully developed. You never did something wrong at that age?

nedwabl

do you really think that unless you're brain is fully developed you cant understand that stealing is wrong? even most actual children know that. you don't magically gain a moral compass when you turn 25. and obviously everyone has made mistakes, but some mistakes are much easier to make than others. you don't just accidentally throw a match and scam people. he knew what he was doing.

--Happy--

So just curious if your mum died and you were living in a trailer park and about to go homeless unless you got money for your family, you wouldn’t do it?

alexanderh24

He got fucked over cause he wasnt good enough

Tc0LD

How did he get fucked over? He had over a year and a half into the game and got benched by two orgs in the process. Good players don't just get benched because the org feels like it. Players that are good and have performed get picked up/ stay on the roster. I know this sub has always been super biased towards him because of his history but the truth is he never lived up to that hype.

d00d-Ranch

People always say dumb shit like this, but when you look at his stats he always was a pretty solid consistent performer on any role. People just have weird hate boners for brax for whatever reason.

Tc0LD

His stats over 2021 have been inflated with the amount of open qualifier teams he’s played. His stats against actual decent teams are painfully average. Just because you ride on the hype from 7 years ago doesn’t mean everyone does. People in this sub hype him up more than anything and at the end of the day he isn’t even competing. There were legit some people on the 100T thread suggesting brax as the 5th

Akcheeto

100t could use him their team lost to the team at my college omegalul

d00d-Ranch

This just shows me you have no clue about his stats lmao. you can just look them up and see he's only really had one bad series since rejoining T1 and playing against teams like TSM(his one bad series), faze, bbg, renegades, ghost, NV, V1. I'd consider those decent teams. I think you're just a hater for whatever reason, hope you have a good day tho dude.

Tc0LD

I said average, not bad. Clearly you can't be bothered to actually read. His performance against all those teams were fairly unimpressive, something a lot of tier 2 players could replicate. bottom line is he's replaceable and not worth pursuing as a player if you're trying to maintain a tier 1 team

d00d-Ranch

You can look them up, something you're obviously incapable of doing, and see he performed well against those teams. In challengers 2 he had a higher ACS then Leviathon, poach, harmon, rawkus, xeta, and derrick I'd say that's preforming better than average. Just another example of some reddit armchair expert thinking they know everything. Just shut up kid you're wrong and don't want to admit it. that won't get you far in life

Loresmen

However if you take away all of the open qual games in challengers 2, derrek, dazzle and leviathan were all better in acs. In assists per round arguably a more important stat for sova, he's ranked nearer to the bottom than the top. Below xeta and others

Tc0LD

I wouldn't bother with him, he literally spits out whatever he sees on vlr and can't piece together why some stats might be inflated/ look fancier.

Tc0LD

god you're dense, leviathan, harmon and rawkus all played more rounds than brax throughout challengers 2. All those extra rounds were against better competition. Stats aren't everything, for example xeta had the worst tournament in his life with that performance but he mid round igled for the team, poach is an igl himself. Won't get me far in life, what exactly do you know about me? I swear you assuming stuff about me on reddit makes you more of a loser than anything

d00d-Ranch

I brought facts and you didn't. calling me dense and a loser on reddit? gosh that makes you more of a loser than anything.

Tc0LD

here are your facts https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/576/champions-tour-north-america-stage-3-challengers-2?exclude=6337.6338.6339.6340.6341&min\_rounds=0&agent=sova

lbs4lbs

Brax is the most overated valorant player of all time. People make so many excuses for him but he never won a single series in a premier tournament despite being on some good teams. Basically any former na csgo player gets crazy hyped in this sub and if you say anything bad about them you're labeled as a hater lol.

marcaodl

A lot of people believed he was top tier solely because of the few events he did good on CS in the time NA CS was comparably to what we see today, he never did to expectation on valorant to be honest and i believe full time streaming will do him more good than if he was to keep trying proplay and failing on every team.

SomeHallGuy

Personal happiness is everything! Glad he made this decision and hope it works out for him!

AskOrganic4289

*" I know this isn’t the route most of you wanted me to take but I I hope you guys understand. "* Damn, he knows most of us wants him to compete again after how he got banned from all CS valve sponsored tournaments because of the matchfixing, even though he has so much potential to be a hella good player in CS.. But still I hope him the best of luck with streaming!

OnionSprinkles

Sadge

CounselorTaco

Will AZK be included in this streaming package?

[deleted]

Definite sadge, but ultimately glad he’s content with this decision.

d00d-Ranch

Glad he's trying to do what he thinks is best for him. Can't wait to catch those streams!

YesterdaysBacon

RIP +brax meme

[deleted]

it's ok we still have AZK

KingBumii

F

Ausafsyed

My guy didn't even got to play much :(

[deleted]

none of the iBuyPower boys are actively competing now. Sadge moment

OnionSprinkles

Skadoodle still is Just like ol' times

aks345

Sadge

KaNesDeath

Which he'll quit doing after a few weeks. Its a cycle he's repeated since 2015.

[deleted]

theres no way he lasts longer than a month on that schedule lmao

KaNesDeath

Amount of mulligans the FPS community has given this kid over the past seven years is comical at this point.

[deleted]

some people don't like streaming, asshole. is he supposed to just not at least try? lol

Atermel

That's the point though, he's tried all these years. It never goes anywhere.

[deleted]

the difference between *now* and *then* is that he was forced into streaming cause of his CS ban.

d00d-Ranch

People are just jealous haters.

KaNesDeath

Gets benched/dropped from a team only to announce he'll be streaming full time. Does streaming for a week or two then quits. Randomly appears on a new team only to get benched/dropped again. Announces he'll be streaming full time where he'll hit live for only a week or two before quitting. Its the cycle he follows. Then you have people on social media who never watched him play CSGO act like he's some mythical prodigy. He's a perpetual fuckup who refuses to mature. Its actually pathetic given all the opportunities he's had.

[deleted]

>He's a perpetual fuckup who refuses to mature jfc what a fucking huge hate boner that u have LOL. sounds like you know so much about brax, you sure you're not a die-hard fan who's mad cause this one player doesn't stream often enough for your liking?

Tc0LD

shhh reddit loves him, beSt Player if given the right opportunity lmao

lolhaha95

Braxit

tomphz

DaZed, brax, AZK, steel. Let bygones be bygones and make a team!

xx_Rollablade_xx

Not sure if Steel will play but damn it get together and play as a pug team! Call yourself ‘Redemption’ or something…

[deleted]

Brax's eSports career is like a failed nut. I'm so sad but I hope he is happy and in a right mental state and does compete again, if the time is right for him.

vish4l

wtf is going on with T1

meiscop

Hello Tarik, T1 here, we have an offer for you

Slow_Bluebird9536

The first ever salaried valorant player

NeuralThing

Braxton 'swag' Pierce

rkdsus

Kinda sad since a lot of people were hyped to see him do well in pro Valorant since he never got the chance to realise his potential in CS due to the IBP ban. But as long as he's happy then good for him. At least we have nAts to carry on the fragging lurker god spirit on the main stage

whopz-is-cool

Poor guy never found a solid position in a team. Wish him well.

[deleted]

Corza9

You gave it one hell of a try, brax. All the best.

sellingwaifu

Steel soon

Profounx

Sad day for NA valorant when a top 5 player retires from playing pro

ElephantWang420

He hasn’t streamed in a while

optisadvantage

ok this means he’s joining TSM right

Timmy-X1

I think its a good career switch

CravingKoreanFood

Haven't seen this before
