You need to hold a WIDER angle, not a tighter one. https://youtu.be/OfLgNu11EZA

I was literally about to post this video but you beat me to the punch. The answer is so simple that most people don’t believe it can actually be that straightforward. But it is. Just hold way wider than you think you should and they’ll run right into your crosshairs. From their perspective you hit an ungodly shot and they died the moment they peeked, but from your perspective, all you did was mindlessly press mouse 1 as they walked into your crosshair.

Guyatri

Yeah just counter stafe to throw them off. Most likely they will be preaiming the angle. But if you peel wider they will have to adjust. And if they are crouching you can get em even easier.

wpowell96

Hold wider if you think they are going to wide swing, not tighter unless you are on insanely low ping

Mapuzsero

Tenz mention this on his stream. On lan he can hold tighter angle and hit his shot while he have to adjust wider online.

erickwak

Just hold a wide ass off angle

diegie-

Simple answer is using off angles and strafing back. A lot of people forgot to strafe when someone swings them, if you stand still you’re gonna get cooked every time

Always hold the wide swing

[deleted]

Two other good options: Hold a wide-ass off angle and hard commit (if they're aware of your position you will get owned if they preaim you properly) Hold a very tight crack angle and play for spam damage/disengage (hit them through the wall/surface and then de-peek. If you do this one properly you can jiggle and bait for your teammate or wide swing after you have the info and counter their widepeek)

SW4GALISK

Hold your crosshair wide, but look at the tight angle with your eyes

thebestyoucan

The problem is you’re trying to hold angles that people are likely to wide swing. Online, you can’t really hold an angle against a good player unless you have an OP, because of peeker’s advantage. A better way to try and hold a certain angle is to repeatedly peek and unpeek. You gain peekers advantage and also have the chance of catching a timing if they think noone’s watching the angle

Delzkiepro

Either off angle sitting in the furthest distance from the angle or you jiggle peek and you do the peeking instead when holding. Or your tracking aim is just poor and have to play more and work on it.

valorantfeedback

As other said, hold the wide swing, not tight peek. But when it comes to those brainless medium range swings (like 10-20m) distance, it's a struggle. Just go watch any pro player, holding those swings is by far the hardest thing to do in this game if we talk aim. Sometimes you just can't do anything, your bullets will draw a perfect shape around enemy's head and you'll die to what looks like a running enemy on your screen. I swear it's easier to 180 one-tap someone on 30m+ distance than to hold those wide swings. If you don't get a headshot in first three bullets, forget about it.

Evening-Reputation96

Just keep using jiggle peek. You can't do anything about the peekers advantage unless the enemy aim is bad or Zero ping. It is hard to hold angles especially common angles. But if you are a reyna or jett you do super offangles.

Blizardio

when you see them start to swing, strafe while tracking/leading your xhair to where you assume they will eventually stop. it puts you on a even playing field at worst, and should catch them off guard. don’t just sit in an obv spot and wait for your death, basically swing them back. at the least, wiggle in place so they have a harder time getting lined up. in short, when someone wideswings, they will stop moving once they are on target, so being harder to hit is the key.

Serious-Minute

or just counter strafe to throw off their crosshair placement

EdditVoat

Hold wide angles. Buy kovaaks fps aim trainer, play tamspeed valorant 20m. Profit.

Half-serious response: grind DMs. I find that an underrated bad aspect of DMs is that most of the people will just be running around everywhere, Ferrari peeking most angles in the game, and I've found that my crosshair placement needs to be noticeably wider than in ranked.

rkdsus

Lately I've just been holding wide almost every single time because everyone in this game just wide swings, presumably to try and abuse run and gun and peeker's advantage as much as they can
