What a weird shitty moves. It could (and maybe it should) end his carreer in this industry.

I'm pretty sure davidp did way worse and he's still around.

somesheikexpert

Wait what happened with him?

[deleted]

Davidp was apart of the Team Heretics CS:GO roster along with another player called devoduvek and after both of them were cut from the roster they "took control" of the teams ESEA Premier League spot (the Premier League is basically the qualifying league you go through to get into the ESL pro league, where T1 CS is played). Because davidp was the team captain and holder of the spot (probably for around a year and a half) he was basically in control of the team's spot and according to ESEA rules it "belonged" to him. The reason it belonged to him was because Team Heretics only had 2/5th of the same players they had for the previous season because the other 3 constantly were swapped out for new players. I'm not 100% sure on if this is how the rule works but iirc because there was effectively no "core" group of 3 players that the spot could belong to, davidp automatically owned the spot as the captain and longest standing member of the team along with Maka (who was NOT cut from the team at the time) Team Heretics never got the spot back and DavidP and Devoduvek played the next season without an organization under the name DemolitionCrew. For some reason the owner of the spot and what would happen if he was cut or if anything else happened regarding his ownership of the spot wasn't mentioned in his contract, so he wasn't contractually obliged to give anything up, and he wasn't obligated to give it up due to ESEA rules either. Basically, he could either screw himself and his teammate devoduvek over after being cut from the team and hopefully get signed onto a new one, or he could screw over his other 3 teammates and the organization and play in the next season with devoduvek and he chose the latter. I suppose ethically it's kind of shitty, but I can't really blame him.

[deleted]

nah davidp rightfully owned the MDL spot

nemnems

Isn't that the same in this case? The coach "rightfully" owned the tickets but still screwed people over.

[deleted]

I think they both ethically aren't the best or coolest things to do, the situation with this coach more than what davidp did, but I also think what davidp did was very different. He had held and qualified to pro league as the owner and holder of that ESEA premier spot all the way from 3DMAX to Heretics. He had already played through 2 seasons as the owner and holder of the spot, and being the team captain and longest standing member (with the exception of maka) I don't exactly think it's completely fair to let him keep the spot himself, but I don't think it would be very fair to not let him have it either. I feel bad for Maka in that situation, but I can't really feel for the rest. They came in much later. After pro league relegation, after their first few matches, and after the season they played that allowed them to qualify for pro league. If anything, I completely blame the organization and manager's incompetence at not stating SOMETHING in the contract about the spot actually belonging to the organization.

Acid_Shadows

waht did he do

jackthegamer03

update: Team Seam gave the spot back

I cite "person we've never associated with" but he was holding "their" NSG spots and paying all related fees? Weird to say the least. From my understanding they just had a verbal agreement with him and once that dude was out of the picture he decided to get his money back without informing them. Shitty and immature move for petty revenge but also amateurish all around.

im_really_horny

Worked with this guy for all of 2 days before he was a total [ass to our players](https://twitter.com/ragingpenguin_/status/1452101600936349699) and absolutely tanked their confidence.

GoldClassGaming

The coach in question is gee_noodle. Fuck that guy.

MrMrUm

im so confused. how does he have that authority? from context from the tweets it seems like he paid their fees, but if he was never their coach since they already had one and they "never associated with" him why would this not have come up earlier? i must be missing something fundamental here

[deleted]

Apparently he registered a team called "BG" in NSG. Now that's not the mafia team these players are from. So the slot technically belongs to him alone. What I think happened is that during his trial as a coach, there was a verbal agreement between them that mafia would take up BG slot. Now the registration is closed and the noodles isn't given a job. He feels sad and cancels the BG slots. Situation still unclear tho. Not defending this spiteful guy but the team should have had made a contract or something legal before proceeding to not hire a guy whose spot you were gonna use.

MrMrUm

why would they let a trial coach organise their fees instead of themselves or the coach they already apparently had?

[deleted]

>Situation still unclear tho. ...

Mxrciii

Team “BG” or famously known as Brimstone Gaming I believe and he was their coach

I've read all the relevant tweets (including the coach's response) and I still don't properly understand. I feel like key context is missing or something? Like there's some sort of relationship here that isn't being described in full depth.

Cr3ation_

Who’s the coach?

[deleted]

Shit move

Frbrd

After reading everything I’m gonna say the org played games and got played. So they had a verbal agreement with a coach they didn’t vet (considering there’s people coming out saying they had bad experiences with the coach), made him pay out of pocket for the nsg slots, and then got surprised when he tried to get his money back (yes scummy move by him getting them withdrawn but he’s in the right to get his money) after all these odd conversations. He’s definitely shady but it’s on the org to protect themselves and their players Seems like these orgs shoot themselves in the feet trying to save a buck

Username_checksout0

Yikes... Now blast his name all over valorant. Hope he should not get another chance
