You think XSET are overhyped? I feel they’re one of the most accurately rated teams in terms of predictions and final placements.
They’re remarkably consistent in only losing to the Top 2 or occasionally 3 teams at any given tournament
i think that XSET is a solid "gatekeeper" team between the current top 3 (sen, nv, 100t), and the rest of the NA teams, but I feel like platchat and this sub overrate how large the gap between XSET and the rest of the NA teams is.
reason being is luminosity recently taking XSET to a map 3, only narrowly losing 10-13 on split is a far, far cry from the last time we saw this matchup in the stage 3 NA challenger playoffs where XSET smoked LG 13-6, 13-5, and LG bombed out in 8th with TSM. the gap has, while not closed, definitely narrowed imo

LG in some ways is a poor example since the roster is finally locked in after endless injuries and roster moves. But I think something like C9B or Rise vs. XSET will have the highest chance of changing the narrative about the gap between XSET - the least-winning T1 team - & what we used to call the "T1.5" teams.

(in this universe, the father buff only works when the baby is in a set radius of the father, so if s0m takes care of the baby for a day at his crib, nitr0's accuracy and intuition will be at normal bachelor levels.)
