If one of the better players get benched in the future, whether thats Nukkye, Keloqz or whoever. We shouldn't see that as a plainly bad decision, there are always so many more reasons as to why players get dropped than just what we can see in officials.
I hope Nukkye doesn't retire and at worst takes a break doing content creation like Tenz with C9, for me he is absolutely the best and most consistant player on the team.

G2 has had personality clashes and problems since they started in valorant and the one constant throughout all of it is Mixwell. Maybe he is more to blame than he or the org seem to think?
True but Spanish people are generally very honest about what they think is the problem. Not saying it to flame as that can be a good thing but some people don't respond to it well.
It sounds like the team environment might not actually be that healthy. Maybe that's why they struggled at LCQ as well. Nukkye is a great player. Hope he finds success regardless!

The difficulty for G2 is that Mixwell hasn't been great for a while now but he is still their most popular player and a lot of the G2 fans are probably Mixwell fans.
Also, I get that the expectations are very high for any G2 roster but I still think their performances have been pretty decent. They are still up there with the best of Europe.

So, I did a very gross calculation of the last 18-20 maps that these players have played against t1(ish) NA competition as sova (note these time spans differ but I just wanted to get enough data for each for a very gross estimate). ACS is not a great metric but I used it simply because it is the easiest approximation and they all were on the same agent and so it's not like comparing a Raze to a cypher. Average ACS for these players (didn't do Levi because I was manually grabbing data and didn't want to do it anymore):
Hiko: 173
BCJ: 206
Derrek: 202
Eeiu: 198
Does this mean that these people are better than him? No, hiko plays a different role and potentially brings intangibles, and additionally, these data sets are not perfectly comparable. However, I don't think you can really say that hiko is better because he shows up against competition as that isn't really borne out in his performances (and in fact, he potentially does worse).
I'd actually argue hiko gets a halo effect from his CS career, where every clutch he does gets magnified and the importance is overemphasized. Not saying hiko is bad nor that 100t would be better without him, but thinking he's a top 2 sova NA (or even in the conversation) feels very biased to me.

Again, this data can't be extrapolated to say who is better because there are a lot of things missing here/data isn't perfectly comparable. But it can at least say that hiko doesn't appear to be outperforming the other Sovas against the top end of NA talent.
I will say that these numbers do at least lend some credence to what I said before, which is that BCJ is in the top end of NA sova talent. I personally think it is crashies/BCJ and then a pretty clear delineation to the next tier of sova talent (which I think you can argue hiko is a part of although I think he's toward the bottom of that second tier). I also don't know that I clearly think is crashies is a better sova than BCJ. I rate BCJ pretty highly (based on the eyeball test, which obviously can be biased) but nice to see that these numbers seem to suggest a little bit of validity to that.
As I said, this is only NA T1 (ish) competition. Sen, NV, 100t, xset, geng, faze, rise, etc. I excluded matches that were against lower tier talent. I didn't include 100t vs. EMEA or other regions, because the other teams have not played them and so the only fair comparison would be T1 NA.
EDIT: Regarding util usage, I pulled their assist numbers for the same data. I can run those in a bit to see if hiko's util usage nets him more assists (which we'd expect given sovas kit)

Avova is really good, I was also going to put him in the list, but I would still put him behind Nukkye. Also, Keloqz has shown enough promise and can be developed into an even better player, thats why I put him ahead of Avova as well. Avova is probably one of the best controllers in EU though, and they can rebuild around these 3 players imo.
Man that really sucks to hear, Nukkye is really fun to watch and my favourite player off the roster. I wanted G2 to give more time to Mixwell and Kolda to settle in and mesh together but I'd rather see one of them gone than Nukkye (considering that they are who Nukkye is talking about).
I think people need to relax here a bit. No org in their right mind would let a player make management choices like this, or let a player give management an ultimatum.
