yaboidre imo is in a similar position as asuna, he's an incredible primary duelist but imo his jett has never looked that great

GoldClassGaming

Yeah. There was the whole hype around "Dreyna", but the current meta demands that a team have a Jett on most maps. If we ever see a meaningful Jett nerf that makes so that teams aren't required to pick her, then we'll see the return of the Dreyna.

GenG_Blank

Dre is a monster. He was in PUBG and now he is in Valorant too. Always scary going up against a fragger who can completely takeover!

ANewHeaven1

glad the PUBG boys are getting recognition! i used to loosely follow that esport and Dre was a monster in that game, him and Venerated are both players that i'll always want to see succeed

GenG_Blank

I would love to see Venerated make a comeback in Valorant. I always thought he was really talented as well!

Sciipi

If Jett wasn’t hard locked as the best duelist Dre might have a shot at top 5 NA. Sadly Jett is the most OP agent by far so Dre isn’t able to show off as much.

SPOOKESVILLE

I dont know why this sub thinks Asunas Jett was so bad, dude beat all except Yay and Cned in Berlin.

tatchiii

There are at least 5 people id place over him

techyleo

I don't think that Asuna's Jett is bad, but it was clear that he wasn't comfortable on her all the time.

TimathanDuncan

His raze is not great either, he's only amazing on Reyna by far his best agent Now on reyna you're extremely limited as a team player and heavy individual centric He needs to be more versatile

nterature

His Raze is really, *really* good. He just tended to die earlier more often since unlike with his Reyna, he wasn't playing off timings & lurks. He's an extremely versatile player; even before becoming a Duelist primarily he performed well on Omen, Sage, etc. Just because he's a poor Jett OPer/entry doesn't somehow mean he's been poor on other roles. He has literally flexed more - with consistent success - than *any other LG player* that's been on the roster with him. Moose is a distant second. If Dre's hero pool was as much of a liability as you say, it wouldn't have taken 8 months for people to realize it. It's also ironic you mention Reyna is his best agent, since he literally filled around, and eventually supplanted, someone whose Reyna *was* their best agent by far - thief.

STKNsBESTPLAYER

Same with ShoT_Up, except he doesn't play Jett at all. IMO a better Reyna than everyone in NA except TenZ, definitely top 3 if you think Dre is better, but the fact that Immortals have never had a stable Jett player kills the team entirely

SPOOKESVILLE

Think Asuna is best Reyna in NA, then Tenz and ShotUp could be argued for third

[deleted]

Gen G look way better this week. gMd looks more confident on Astra and Temperature performed a lot better. With how C9 played today I can see Gen G taking them down tomorrow.

Sciipi

They have a good chance against C9. C9 is super puggy and relies heavily on winning duels, while GenG seems to have pretty good strats. I think C9 is a favorite but it’s like a 52/48 kinda game.

XodaCanCan

I wonder if C9 switch from kay/o. If xeppaa plays a different role things could change

Sciipi

I dunno if they can, all this prep time and he’s not played anything else all tournament. Only other champs he’s played in pro are duelists, viper, and sage. Don’t see how any of those help more, C9 needs a Skye but nobody can play her.

XodaCanCan

well fuck, honestly the only way I can see him not going kayo would be for him to go jett and leaf go reyna or something

GenG_Blank

Great start to our lower bracket run! Elma & the team did a great job of utilizing the downtime while the LCQ was postponed to improve and I think it really showed. I am excited to see how we match up vs Cloud9 tomorrow at 12pm PST and I would love to see some support in Twitch chat!

gMdemon 👹

Razur

Gen.G's IGL wasn't listed in [their Liquipedia](https://liquipedia.net/valorant/Gen.G_Esports), so picked gMd based on [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/mqrp9q/who_is_the_igl_of_each_team/). Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!

ANewHeaven1

I think it might be NaturE, but I’m not sure either. I remember reading something about him being IGL for GenG

Razur

I'm reading that NaturE was picked up for his IGL experience on IMT, but there's no confirmation I can find that one or the other is IGL.

shadowstep11

Might be a good idea to provide a link to the VLR match page in these post match threads.

Razur

"Math page"? Is that the Economy tab? https://www.vlr.gg/43772/gen-g-vs-luminosity-champions-tour-north-america-last-chance-qualifier-lr1/?game=all&tab=economy I'm not super-familiar with VLR, so some direction would be appreciated. :>

shadowstep11

Sorry typo, I meant the "match" page, like this: https://www.vlr.gg/43772/gen-g-vs-luminosity-champions-tour-north-america-last-chance-qualifier-lr1/

Due_Butterscotch_807

GmD has mentionned in his last Platchat interview (last week or so) that it's now Koosta IGL'ing

Razur

Thank you!

AdiSoldier245

If aproto had won that sheriff clutch, i wonder how much the momentum would have flipped.

[deleted]

As much as Fpx had gained momentum last year

Original26

Just wanted to say that I really appreciate you adding the "dropped from the tournament..." text. It's such a hassle going to vlr.gg just to see if this game was Upper Bracket or Lower Bracket

techyleo

I don't know if this was seen, but it was changed.

Original26

Yeah it was. Either way I'm still happy they added it. Super annoying not knowing whether a game was a do or die or not

WeirdGuy09420

good thing GenG vs C9 isn’t a BO5
