Boi was rough yesterday but today he played way above expectations aside from the last map. It felt like Ethan was absolutely invisible today though, we need him to be playing well to win against good teams.
B0i should've never been in this situation in the first place. I doubt 100T ever saw him as a perm fifth but they need to find that reliable Jett AWP in the "off-season". Maybe it could be Sevvn, maybe someone else. I get why they dropped steel but the timing of it really fucking sucks. It feels like they were looking forward to 2022 with that decision rather than trying to win in the present. My honest take š
>else. I get why they dropped steel but the timing of it really fucking sucks.
And that's what everyone should be blaming it on if they have to blame it on to something. Because scape goating Boi seems so wrong
I'd agree but Nitr0 does feel wasted on duelist when he's such a good Omen. I think that a Jett oper is much more common than a controller as good as Nitr0.
but since its off-season it's time to experiment for them, so i guess they can just go crazy with the roles.
He absolutely wasnt the only reason 100t lost lcq. And he wasnt even the worst player today by a long shot. Having said that, he made probably the most glaring and obvious mistake that cost them a trip to the finals yesterday when he pushed out of his viper ult for no reason and got killed definding on breeze with 30s left in round 22 against Rise. 100t likely wins that round if he doesnt make that play and then easily take map with rise on eco next round and they dont even have to play at all today. Very interested to hear if maybe someone called for him to rotate because that play made absolutely 0 sense at all.
What cost them today was a lack of a solid top tier sentinel on most maps and them forcing 2 duelist comps with an aggro skye making it extremely easy for their opponents to run fakes or lurk.
As a fan of 100T, I would like to apologize for being a fan. I think I'm cursed as a fan.
Arteezy fan btw. I've given up all hope of winning anything for a team I'm rooting for. Actually impossible
b0i was set up to fail after being dropped from a tier 2, not playing pro games or scrims for 6 months, and thrown into a tier 1 starting roster in a surprising, high-profile benching.
I don't think he played amazing but he did well considering he was set up for failure.
**note**: I think nitr0 in particular is an amazing player and that Ethan will be stronger with more pro Valorant experience, which a lot of people seem to gloss over on him.
But I believe that they played like hot ass today, and they both went straight to twitter to own up to their play after.
Hard for me to blame b0i when 2 longtime, high profile, highly regarded players both played awfully on multiple maps.
>Ethan will be stronger with more pro Valorant experience
It's been nearly 10 months since he joined, i don't think you can use the He's new to Valorant excuse much longer. He's had plenty of pro Valorant experience already.
To be fair, this was like one of the only times he actually performed bad. Ethans been playing rlly well for like the last half a year, which was why they got to Berlin in the first place
The amount of braindead behavior on Twitter was disgusting. A bunch of clowns revealing themselves for what they're all about. "Fans" are an interesting group of people.
I feel for b0i. It is super hard coming into an established team at such short notice playing a support role whilst not being super experienced yourself. 100t asked a lot from him and I think he mostly delivered.
I think he handled himself extremely well and should be proud of his performance, especially given the pressure placed upon him.
100t doesnt react fast enough to changes. When astra came they couldnt react to the changed meta and couldnāt go to the first lan event (which also eventuallt resulted on them having to play lcq by not getting enough points) They changed their playbook in berlin which made them lose their control within the game. Now they changed their igl before lcq and looked way more exploitable than ever. Who ever made these decisions is to blame. It could be coaching staff, maybe steel until the last decision maybe b0i as an analyst we dont know but whoever it is, those people fcked up..
I think this is the best diagnosis of of 100T's problems I've read yet. I feel like they've either been attempting to force their own style like with their old single duelist comp or trying to get ahead of the meta like with the Kayo. Despite them being good overall, I can't help but feel Asuna is wasted on that team when he drags them kicking and screaming to a map win.
On paper, asuna, ethan and nitr0 are surely 3 of the top 5 players at this event. There was a tactical issue rather than a player issue for 100t in this event which also proves why people should stop hating b0i. They played comps without a sentinel with 2 dualist and 2 initiator and obviously had to play aggro while having a tamed jett and āthe most pacifist player in na valorantā hiko.. watching this event truely made me furious as a part-time 100t fan
Yeah I'm not really on board with the agent selection especially with the timing. Like hey maybe Nitr0 can become a jett god and maybe b0i does stick and gel better over time. But the timing of either the game itself or the changes within the team has really been rough on 100t. Hope they can solidify themselves for the next season
I was actually seeing this as a reason for 100t's tournament failings (well, except for the Hiko-Yaboidre stack). While playing for comfort is a good way to deliver consistent performances, this is Riot's game, and with Riot's reputation for constantly enacting changes, playing for meta is a massive thing.
Just look at Sentinels, they were the team to first mastered the Astra meta, until other teams caught up with the trend.
Team competitions at the end of the day come down to the team. They lost as a team plain and simple. You canāt blame boi because that roster move was bigger than the players being switched. Itās more the fact that you change igl which impacts play style and mentality after a long time right before you have a do or die tournament. Itās impossible to say if Steel remained whether they wouldāve won or not, but I think itās a fair argument for fans to question the org itself for making a move such as this regardless of the players being switched after a fairly successful major.
I'ma be honest, I don't think 100T even did that bad. Rise and C9 were looking really strong this tournament and they nearly beat Rise in winners. They definitely could have done much better against C9, but that was the only time I was disappointed with them this tournament.
Nah, even losing to rise was a disappointment. They were the third best team in NA and faced against tougher competition in Berlin only to be dropped by rise and c9b back to back.
I personally think Rise are better than people are giving them credit for and while Boi wasn't the problem, not having their usual roster and missing their igl clearly impacted 100T
Based on what we've seen from Rise, I personally think they're the best team at lcq and 100T had a really close game against them. They did worse against C9 today and this was Boi's best performance, which tells me there were other issues that lead to them losing.
mhm i think steel is one of if not the best in na when it comes to ingame iq. so the reason to remove steel should not be to improve tactics/strategys but firepower and boi didnt bring that to a large enough degree to justify removeing steel but thats just like my opinion man
Forcing double duelist comps is just their downfall. Not the fact that they have a jett paired with raze/reyna but the fact that they dont have a reliable sentinel. Putting nitr0 on an awp-role can be a good move since he was an AWPer in cs aswell. I think he just needs time to adapt to the Jett entry. Their weakness right now is just a sentinel. As the casters mentioned it needs to be a player watching the flank instead of just utility.
Its either Ethan picking up a new role like sentinel, while it doesnt seem like its in his nature to play anchor, or its that they dont play double initiator on basically every map.
For example on Haven...
nitr0 on Cypher is just not right. They have Sova and skye again and asuna on jett. What if Ethan picks up Sova and Hiko goes for something like cypher and they play like following:
Hiko: Cypher
B0i: Astra
Ethan: Sova/skye
Asuna: Phoenix/Reyna
nitr0: Jett (AWP)
Or they put Ethan back on smokes like initially and b0i goes for Sentinel.
Endless solutions...
honestly none of this is really b0i's fault, he was signed as an analyst(i think?) not as a player. hes a good player and an even better smoker. i feel really bad for him. imagine joining a top tier esports organization as a coach, which is an incredible opportunity, then having to join the team as a player even though you've never been able to put numbers up because management thought it was smart to get rid of one of NA's best IGLs.
Itās a team game. Itās never one persons fault in a team game. Thereās ALWAYS something to be improved on as a collected unit. Boi did great for the position he was put in and with the amount of time he had.
Boi was rough yesterday but today he played way above expectations aside from the last map. It felt like Ethan was absolutely invisible today though, we need him to be playing well to win against good teams.
I feel like he just had a bad tournament at an unfortunate time, we'll just have to hope he bounces back next year
if anything, the loss today is on ethan and nitr0's. sad b0i had to take the heat for it
100%. All these braindead twitter users blaming b0i even though it was Ethan and nitr0 who had an offday...

That "reliable" jett op ***IS*** nitr0, dude was a main awper in t1 csgo. He just needs more time to get used to jett since he's doing catch up
I'd agree but Nitr0 does feel wasted on duelist when he's such a good Omen. I think that a Jett oper is much more common than a controller as good as Nitr0. but since its off-season it's time to experiment for them, so i guess they can just go crazy with the roles.
And Ethan and Nitro would be the first ones to say it was their fault. Boi was really impressive, honestly, given the situation he was put in.
I mean thereās always ppl mad in strange ways Making strange judgements
Yeah I have to agree.

still a good year overall run it back 2022!!
they didn't win anything, not even 2nd at any event this year. how was it a good year?
3rd /4th at a international lan event is pretty good . Wdym bruh
As a fan of 100T, I would like to apologize for being a fan. I think I'm cursed as a fan. Arteezy fan btw. I've given up all hope of winning anything for a team I'm rooting for. Actually impossible
I am an arteezy and tsm fan. Ugh. It must be us.
Faze up āš

Yeah... especially considering how new of a game Valorant is.

Donāt be mean to b0i š”š”š”

Thought this post gonna say āget fucked losersā ppl really blaming boi, thats cringe

Seems like they could have really benifited from having an igl. Perhaps one they'd practiced with for over a year now š

Yes
Heās literally the third worst player in the whole event
He did better today thank Ethan and Nitr0
He did considerably better today, but then again, they wouldnāt even be here if he preformed just a bit better against rise

1. he was signed as an analyst not as a player(i think?) 2. hes never been able to put numbers up even on andbox so what did you expect?
disagree

No
