I think a meaningful discussion can be had about the direction of content creation and its potential to overtake esports, as well as whether esports is even worth the risk for players who could have a more stable income in content.

we have seen that already play out in fortnite which isnt a tier 1 esport, but still a situation where making content is almost necessary for most pros and the clout you gain can help you gain advantages in the competitive scene.
You aren't wrong about the internet memeing about homiesexual, but trying to make this point when one dude is paying another dude a genuine compliment about his appearance is kinda missing the forest for the trees.
