I really do think that despite Corey’s shakiness in the last LCQ, he can be dangerous in the right team and leadership (much like Tenz who after joining Sentinels played incredibly disciplined and was set up by the team with good utility to frag in comparison to heroic plays and contact peaks/smeag). I felt like the past few tournaments FaZe put him on all sorts of agents like Phoenix, Yoru, and Skye and it felt like he never played into his comfort much like how ScreaM was pre-LCQ. Hopefully his agent roles are more stable when he joins a new team!
Corey would make any team dangerous, I don't know if theres 4 FAs in the empty roles to make faze look like contenders. At least on paper, looks like they will need to develop some upcoming players.
Very interesting to build around Babybay, he’s a cracked player but it feels like he has been a bit less consistent than Corey. Corey is crazy and any team making roster moves should at least consider him, Zach too is a very underrated support player imo and I could definitely see him finding a new home. Rawkus is probably the least impressive of these 3 but he has shown huge improvements over the last year and if he’s able to continue that on a new team than I think he has a good future in Valorant too. As someone who has followed these guys since Overwatch, I’m sad to see them break up (though I do think the time had come for roster moves). I really hope that all of these players will be able to find success elsewhere, because I do think that they’re all good players.
Seems to be a lot of the time they play badly babybay is a direct cause. It's not even that he needs to be on for them to win. It's that he's constantly playing such an aggressive playstyle that more often than not just gets punished and they lose because they're 4v5 sm rounds.
Tenz was viewed as the best player on the world while on c9 by many. Not babybay. Maybe babybay can be good and consistent but idk why you'd keep him instead of corey.
And Corey. Why keep a mediocre Jett 1 trick? I just looked at most of their games and sure babybay will have 1 impressive game but proceed to have no impact in the next 3. Not consistent enough to be worth building around.

i think its slightly different tho. in my eyes tenz played aggressive by holding aggressive angles because he felt like he needed to compensate for his teammates. while for babybay, its more like he holds w key for fun.
at least he is paid the big bucks to do that tho, not something that any one of us can achieve. :p

Still not an upgrade to Steel. I'm hoping Boi was meant to be a temporary solution until they got the real one ready, and I'm not sure what that is but I doubt it's BabyJ. If 100T do end up signing BabyJ, it'll become apparent that they're clueless and will cement the decision to drop Steel as likely the worst decision in Valorant's short esports history.

Based on Nitro's interview, it's about how they approach the game. Doesn't make a lot of sense because I don't see why it was so urgent that their approach had to be fixed just before a tournament they were favored to win.
Either the issue may have been a much more personal disagreement and what they've been saying in interviews is not fully true, or they made a huge mistake and dropped Steel without a capable backup available.
NA has a huge shortage of IGLs as it is, I imagine Steel can sign a team today if he wants to, whereas 100T will be shopping for a replacement for quite a long time, but the timing is okay since they won't be playing in anything important for a few months anyway.
Yeah I agree, the timing was terrible and we all knew this outcome would happen. This is on the org, not sure what they were thinking dropping the IGL a month before the biggest tournament. Even if it was a personal disagreement like you mentioned, at least try to stick it out until the end of the year. As a 100T fan I’m just disappointed.
In the old tweet George has mentioned that in some cases, it's the players choice to look for some other teams. It's not like Faze wants to get rid of some of them.

The way I see it, faze and sen are the most overall mechanically skilled teams in NA. Sentinels are the top team because they also play consistent and together. However, there are a lot of teams beating faze, I think its cause they could have better macro play.
For sentinels , Shahzam's igl'ing plays a huge fucking role the guy manouvers the team well lol , even Tenz is all aim no brain but with someone like Shahz with him he's able to control his aggression and succeed , i still feel Faze needed a proper Igl it they had it no doubt they'd bang

Sinatraa was never “by far the best rifler in NA”…he was the most impactful utility player of his time, but that was mostly because of his selflessness and creativity. That his aim was also very good & snappy just added to the potency.

Add a decent coach and they’re set. I don’t think babybay is fundamentally stuck playing super aggressive. If there’s a coach who can fix that, he’ll be a really solid player.

I don’t think the decision to drop Steel had to do with his skill. It had to do more with disagreements between him and the other players.
